Mr. Su's Love Investigation Report
Chapter 254 - 245: Blood Replenishment

Chapter 254: Chapter 245: Blood Replenishment

However, she couldn’t escape. Mr. Su caught her, held her, and softly asked by her ear, "Does it still hurt?"

Tu Hengsha’s face turned crimson, and she punched him. "Not skillful enough!"

"..." Mr. Su actually got despised by her twice on this matter! His face visibly darkened, rare for him to defend himself, after all, this concerned a man’s dignity! "I was just being careful with you!"

She shook her head and sighed, walking away with her head high. Her expression clearly conveyed: Men, always saving face, if you can’t, you can’t, stop boasting...

Normally, Mr. Su would have exploded, but today he seemed to be in a good mood. Watching her strut out confidently, he was relieved. Was she recovering?

At breakfast, Sister Qian cooked red date syrup with herbs to invigorate blood energy, and he served her a big bowl, placing it in front of her.

She frowned. "It smells like medicine, I don’t want to drink it..."

He directly took a spoonful, blew it cool, and fed her. "Be good, it’s for blood replenishment." She had lost a lot of blood last night.

Hearing this, her face reddened again, with Sister Qian still beside them! And besides, what was that bit of blood compared to a girl’s monthly cycle? What good would this do for replenishment?

His expression did not allow refusal.

She had no choice but to open her mouth. The feeling was just like when street kids were pinched by family members to drink herbal medicine...

There was a slight medicinal taste and sweetness. The temperature he blew was just right, neither too hot nor too cold, warm straight to the heart.

"We’re going to your home together this afternoon." After feeding her a bowl, he was satisfied and told her.

"Okay." She nodded, looked down to eat other things, not thinking too much about it.

He watched her carefree demeanor and smiled faintly.

The snow that night fell heavily, covering the whole yard in white, but luckily it stopped before they went out. Sister Qian shoveled a small path for them early in the morning.

He was still wearing his coat but wrapped her up like a dumpling. All she heard was him nagging about maintaining style over warmth, as they exited one after the other.

"Why do you never listen to me?" Tu Hengsha was complaining when she saw someone standing at the courtyard gate.

"Yueyue?" She was surprised.

She hadn’t seen Fan Yue since that conversation, and although it hadn’t been too long, why did Fan Yue seem to have changed completely?

Fan Yue used to have a bit of baby fat, not fat but chubby-faced. Now her whole face seemed sunken, looking yellow and thin, and she showed up so early in the morning, what had happened?

"Yueyue, what happened to you?" In truth, there was no resentment between her and Fan Yue, just because of having Cui Pei in between, interactions didn’t feel as natural as before. Many friendships were like this, unchanged by events, but people’s experiences change, and they gradually drift apart without reason. If you say never meet again, that’s not it, when you do meet, you’ll still remember, they were the best friends once.

Fan Yue looked at her, then at Su Ronggui, hesitated, and eventually shook her head, forcing a smile. "Nothing, I just... wanted to see you."

Such heavy snow, coming early to see her, seemed unusual no matter what?

"Yueyue!" She took Fan Yue’s sleeve. "Did something happen? Tell me."

"No... really nothing..." Fan Yue’s eyes were a little evasive, quickly skimming over Su Ronggui behind her. The hand she had stuffed in her puffer coat came out, putting a warm roasted sweet potato in her hand. "I... saw that old lady selling roasted sweet potatoes in such heavy snow this morning. I bought a few and remembered those days we used to buy them together, so... I just missed you a bit, so I came to bump into you... I have things to do... gotta go..."

After saying that, Fan Yue turned to leave, walking very fast!

Tu Hengsha hurried to catch up, calling, "Yueyue."

Fan Yue waved back. "Little Sha! I’m short on time! We’ll... plan another time!"

"Alright! I’ll call you later!" The roasted sweet potato in her hand was emitting a tempting aroma. It reminded her of the time with Fan Yue, roasted sweet potatoes being one of their favorite snacks together. An old lady used to sell them at Silver Brilliance Company’s entrance, an hour in the morning, and in the evening till midnight, rain or shine. She and Fan Yue would each eat one, either early or late, every day.

"Xiao Xu." She turned to him. "I think something must have happened to Fan Yue."

Su Ronggui simply said, "Let’s get in the car first."

She was silent, and upon getting in the car, she gently pinched a small piece of the sweet potato, biting into the skin’s crispy layer. Fan Yue, like her, enjoyed the crispy baked part of the sweet potato, it was more flavorful.

"If you like hanging out with Fan Yue, just invite her to a meal next time." Seeing her gloomy look, he finally said.

She nodded, not speaking.

When they arrived at the press office, they entered the editorial platform one after the other, with Tu Hengsha still holding the sweet potato. They met Su Rongxing.

It’s now an established fact that Tu Hengsha and Su Ronggui were dating, everyone in the press office knew. Su Rongxing seemed to have come to terms with the reality, no longer making a scene, but was strangely distant. Working within the same unit, encounters were unavoidable, but every time he was colder than a stranger, whether towards Tu Hengsha or Su Ronggui.

Su Rongxing brushed past Tu Hengsha, glimpsing at the sweet potato in her hand, letting out a cold snort.

Even a cold snort was unexpected, at least he made a sound, right?

Su Ronggui wrapped his arm around her shoulders, she shook her head, indicating it was nothing.

With the snow from the other day, they had more interview assignments. She was eager to go out with Hao Ren and planned to contact Fan Yue but got caught up. She just told herself she’d call after work.

By noon, however, Su Rongxing received an invitation from Su Ronggui.

Inviting her to lunch.

Before Tu Hengsha came, she always had lunch out with Su Ronggui.

She sneered and asked over the phone, "Is Tu Hengsha coming too? Then forget it, I can never sit at the same table with her."

But Su Ronggui said she wouldn’t be there.

Her heart felt a pang, "If it’s at the cafeteria, forget it! I don’t want to eat."

Su Ronggui said it was outside.

She hesitated for a moment and agreed. She would never say no to Su Ronggui.

She even went to the restroom to touch up her makeup, tidying up before going. By noon, the snow on the streets had melted significantly, and she arrived at the restaurant on time.

Su Ronggui arrived before her, wearing a dark blue sweater, straight as a pine tree, sitting and waiting for her.

She walked over with an attitude, throwing her bag. "Did Tu Hengsha know you were inviting me to lunch?"

Su Ronggui looked at her quietly, without speaking, his gaze deep as an abyss.
