Mr. Su's Love Investigation Report -
Chapter 237 Child
Chapter 237: Chapter 237 Child
Tu Hengsha edited a video today, working overtime until very late. She never expected Su Rongyu to be so well-behaved, arriving early to wait for her, sitting in the car from five o’clock until she finished work. He stayed in the car for hours, playing games and listening to music, without even having dinner. Fortunately, Su Rongxing was out chasing news today, or else he would have beaten his brother for looking so silly.
Tu Hengsha was speechless about this person.
It was so late that she wanted to go straight home, but Su Rongyu was even more stubborn than his brother. He insisted that he couldn’t leave because his brother had given him orders to fulfill; otherwise, his brother would break his legs.
"..." Since when was Su Ronggui so scary? But she couldn’t win against Su Rongyu, who frightened and forced her back to the alley.
Su Ronggui hadn’t come back for a long time, and this damned Su Rongyu actually confined her to her room, put out paper and pen, and said his brother ordered her to write ten pages. He had to supervise...
Was Su Rongyu a demon?
Then this demon sprawled on the sofa with his long legs stretched out, holding his phone, and playing games...
She was amused and frustrated by these ten sheets of paper and his brother’s posts. Besides looking somewhat alike, how did these two brothers seem like family? Mr. Su never behaved without decorum. Even when it was just them at home, he sat upright.
Since she had to wait for him to come back and she had free time anyway, she started to write...
She thought, by the time she was halfway through, he should be home, right? However, he didn’t return that night.
Su Rongyu got tired playing games and fell asleep sprawled on the sofa. His phone hit his face, but he just turned over and continued to sleep.
Writing and writing, she fell asleep on the desk, face pressed against wet ink, ending up with a face full of ink...
Su Ronggui came back only in the morning.
Coming in, he saw her sprawling on the table and him lying on the sofa, shaking his head with amusement.
He stood by her side, looking down at her sleeping face.
Seeing her resting her face on the desk, her lips slightly parted, a bit of ink on her nose, with her curled eyelashes casting a faint shadow on her lower eyelid, she was deeply asleep, breathing evenly, and hadn’t noticed him by her side.
This was a good habit of theirs in this industry, being able to sleep anywhere, in any position.
He leaned over and touched her cheek, finding it a bit cold. She couldn’t sleep like this, or she’d catch a cold.
Gently picking her up, he noticed the ink marks on her face and couldn’t help but laugh out loud, waking her.
She was a bit confused, momentarily unsure of where or when she was, looking at him bewilderedly, murmuring, "How did you get into my house?"
He chuckled and bumped her forehead, "See where we are?" His gaze fell on the words she’d written, finding it amusing she actually wrote seriously, "So well-behaved today?"
Su Rongyu also woke up, jumping up to take credit, "I...I supervised successfully!" He cheekily asked for a reward, "Second brother, let me do this kind of work again! You two supervised me all my life, forcing me to write this or that. Now it’s my chance!"
Tu Hengsha’s foggy head finally cleared up—they were in the alley courtyard!
"What time is it?" she exclaimed in fright, jumping directly from Su Ronggui’s arms.
"It’s already morning, get ready, have breakfast and go to work." He completely ignored Su Rongyu.
"Ah—" Tu Hengsha screamed, spinning around the room, "What to do, what to do? My mom will kill me!"
"..." Was it that big of a deal? Su Ronggui knew what she was worried about but thought it was fine. This way, he’d have a reason to keep her later, "It’s bound to happen sooner or later. Why panic?"
"But now is too soon!" Tu Hengsha felt going back meant she’d have to shamelessly face her mom again, feeling utterly embarrassed, immediately putting on a long face.
"How about I go with you tonight? Let your mom scold me if she wants!" He ruffled her hair, telling her to go wash up first.
Su Rongyu circled around them for a while, having little success in other matters, but quick-witted in these affairs, suddenly understanding after listening for a while. He chuckled, patting Su Ronggui, "Second brother, you still haven’t won over the second sister-in-law? You’re so timid..."
Su Ronggui kept a straight face, "Rongyu, focus more on proper matters..." He hesitated.
Su Rongyu didn’t take his words to heart at all, waved it off, and went out to eat.
Not long after stepping out, they heard him shout in shock: "Ah—"
Tu Hengsha quickly showered and came out of the bathroom, just in time to hear this, puzzled, "What happened to him?"
Su Ronggui also didn’t know what was up with him. This unreliable brother at home caused endless headaches.
The two of them went out together and saw a child added to the dining table. Su Rongyu and the child were wide-eyed staring at each other. Hearing their movement, Su Rongyu pointed at the child, his voice trembling, "Second brother...you...you...you liar! You have a child already and still claim you’re a virgin..."
A child? Tu Hengsha looked at Su Ronggui, then at the child, full of questions in her eyes. Could it be Sister Qian’s grandson? She hadn’t heard of it!
Su Ronggui pressed his forehead, "Su Rongyu! When will your brain control your mouth!" He looked at Tu Hengsha, "It’s Chen Qi’s child..."
"..." So, he hadn’t come home all night and brought back Chen Qi’s child?
"It’s complicated." He took her hand and sat down by the table, "Let’s have the child stay here for a few days. Sister Qian, please take care of him for a while."
"Oh, no problem, no problem." Sister Qian already knew about the matter and quickly agreed.
Facing Tu Hengsha’s questioning eyes, he sighed, "We’ll talk later. Let’s eat first."
Tu Hengsha noticed the clear circles under his eyes, all bloodshot, and stopped asking, looking at the child instead.
The short, stubby little boy looked only about three or four years old, his eyes swollen, also seemingly cried, and sat obediently on the chair without moving or eating.
"What is your name?" Tu Hengsha asked him softly, trying to be gentle.
He glanced at her and continued to stare blankly, not answering.
Just as Tu Hengsha wanted to coax him again, Su Ronggui’s phone rang.
"Hello? What’s up?" His tone was quite urgent while speaking on the phone.
"Su Ronggui! Ah—"
He wasn’t using speakerphone, but the yelling was so shrill that, with the quiet of the morning in the courtyard, everyone heard it, and then it went silent.
"I’ll step out for a moment! Su Rongyu, mind your business!" He hadn’t even eaten breakfast; he stood up and ran out.
Chen Qi’s son slid off the chair and chased after him, crying.
Sister Qian rushed over, picked him up, but couldn’t calm him down. The child twisted in her arms, insisting on going down to chase, crying so loud it was deafening.
Su Rongyu watched this scene, stunned, and muttered instinctively, "Is this going to be a melodrama?"
"Stop talking nonsense!" Tu Hengsha glared at him and went to help Sister Qian coax the child.
