Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride
Chapter 84, where did Titus Zane go!

Chapter 84: 84, where did Titus Zane go!

Logan Ray drank too much alcohol and was very agitated. Eventually, Titus Zane had no choice but to find the nearest hotel and book a room.

With the help of the hotel service, Titus Zane supported Logan Ray into the room. After giving a tip, when the hotel service left, Titus Zane staggered with Logan Ray to the front of the large bed.

The drunken man was heavy, and as Titus Zane laid Logan Ray on the large bed, she tripped and fell down next to him. Just as she was about to remove the arm around her neck, Logan Ray’s muffled murmurs sounded above her head.

"...Don’t go..."

"I won’t leave. I’m going to wring out a towel to wipe your face," Titus Zane coaxed softly, and Logan Ray finally let go.

Titus Zane went into the bathroom and moistened a towel with warm water. She returned to the bed and carefully wiped Logan Ray’s cheeks, as well as his hands...

Accidentally touching the area where her own palm was pricked, she flinched from the pain. Titus Zane suddenly remembered that Logan Ray had also sat on broken glass.

She wasn’t sure how severe the injury was.

She wanted to take him to see a doctor, but given Logan Ray’s condition, he was almost unconscious, and she alone couldn’t manage to move him.

She didn’t know any private doctors either.

With no other option, Titus Zane managed to remove Logan Ray’s trousers to inspect the injury. If it was serious, she would have to call Logan’s family.

Although Logan Ray was barely conscious, he knew it was Titus Zane by his side. Thus, he cooperated when Titus Zane helped him take off his trousers.

He lifted his legs as told and lay on the bed as asked to cooperate.

After a careful examination, Titus Zane found that the glass shards from the wine glass had pierced through the trousers, causing a few cuts on the buttocks, but they were not serious. The blood that seeped out had already coagulated.

Titus Zane breathed a sigh of relief, pulled up the blanket to cover Logan Ray, and then picked up the phone to call for a medical kit to be sent over. She treated the wounds simply, and Logan Ray was already asleep.

However, his arms stubbornly clung to one of Titus Zane’s legs, as if deeply afraid she would leave.

...

Nathan Moore returned home from work to find Olivia Zane watching TV in the living room, greeting him with her wheelchair.

"You’re back." Olivia Zane smiled as she took Nathan’s briefcase from his hands, placing it on her lap, then rolled her wheelchair back to give him space to change his slippers.

It must be said, Olivia Zane truly was a dutiful wife. Every morning before Nathan went to work, she personally handed him his briefcase, and she was always there to greet him when he returned home.

"Mm," Nathan responded, his obsidian eyes looking past Olivia Zane and sweeping over the living room before finally taking off his leather shoes to put on slippers and step inside.

"Chun Ya, go and run a bath for Master," Olivia Zane commanded loudly, then reached out to help Nathan take off his overcoat.

"Okay, Madam," Chun Ya hurried out of the kitchen and was about to run upstairs when Nathan called her to stop.

"No need."

"What’s wrong, Nathan?" Olivia Zane looked at him, puzzled.

Nathan Moore curved his lips slightly, "Just order the kitchen to start the meal. I’ll be down after a quick shower."

"Alright," Olivia Zane answered with a smile and after hanging Nathan’s overcoat, she wheeled herself to the kitchen.

Nathan went upstairs but did not head to his own room, instead, he walked directly to the fourth floor.

He had been feeling a bit irritable in the afternoon, an unexplainable feeling, which led him, as if compelled by an unknown force, to Titus Zane’s room as soon as he went upstairs.

When he pushed open the door, the room was empty.

The easel on the floor was not covered with a cloth, the palette and brushes were scattered on the floor, and oil paint was smeared everywhere. Next to it, there was a knocked-over wine glass with its red content half-spilled onto the floor.

Everything indicated that Titus Zane had left in a hurry, not even having taken the time to tidy up her paintbrushes.

Nathan clenched his long fingers holding the doorknob tightly, his pupils narrowing then suddenly widening.

He turned and strode towards the staircase.

"Olivia, where did Titus Zane go?"
