Chapter 70: 70, What kind of wife is she? At most, she’s just a bed-warming tool for Nathan.

Two men of equal stature stood facing each other, one with an indifferent expression, and the other’s handsome face clouded with gloom.

Daniel Armstrong glanced nonchalantly at Nathan Moore, rubbing his swollen eyelids carelessly.

Nathan stared at him, his black eyes fiercely piercing, veins visible on his forehead, his fist clenched at his side tightened then suddenly swung, punching Daniel’s nose bridge without hesitation.

Then, glared fiercely at him, strode long legs, wrapping Titus Zane and heading towards the exit of the card room.

Daniel stood still, covering his punched nose with his hand, only moving back to the card table leisurely after the deafening sound of the door closing, wiped vigorously with his thumb, then picked up the red wine in front of him, intending to drink, half way through, suddenly swung it forcefully, and the red liquid splattered everywhere along with the shards of glass.

"Damn it!" Daniel cursed under his breath, grinding his teeth.

The several women at the card table almost instinctively shuddered.

Nicholas Croft elegantly stood up, took his wallet from the hanging coat, returned to the card table and pulled out a stack of cash and threw it on the table, the intention was clear.

The women understood, grabbed the cash, and got up to leave.

Brothers turning against each other, over a woman, that’s the perennial melodramatic plot in the underworld.

"Brother, that was a bit too much," Nicholas patted Daniel on the shoulder, his voice faint.

"What’s too much?" Daniel retorted defiantly, the blood streaming from his nose looking somewhat horrifying.

"Just a worn-out shoe worn by other men, a despicable woman with a vile heart, I can’t stand it! Why does Olivia have to sit in a wheelchair, why does she have to share Nathan with this vile woman... Why..."

Daniel’s cynical words were cut off by Evander Lancaster’s cold sneer.

"Buddy, don’t forget the saying, don’t covet a friend’s wife."

"What wife is she? At best a tool for warming Nathan’s bed!"

"Ha, you know she’s a bed-warming tool for the second brother," Evander scoffed again coldly.

"Don’t forget, the second brother is very picky, not just any woman can become his bed warmer."

"What’s wrong with you all!" Daniel slammed his palm on the card table, his eyebrows furrowed, pointing towards the door.

"Why are you all speaking for that vile woman? Don’t forget, it was Olivia who followed us since we were young, calling us ’brother’, and now, it’s still Olivia who sits in the wheelchair unable to walk..."

"Hmph, that’s just what you think," Evander sneered again dismissively, spitting out a puff of smoke.

"Don’t try to impose your thoughts on us. The feelings you had for Olivia back then were clear to us all, and if you still can’t get over it, you’re free to take Olivia away, to spare her the suffering."

"She is now Nathan’s wife, don’t covet a friend’s wife!"

"Damn! So you do know that too! And here I thought you forgot all the traditional virtues left by our ancestors after spending a few years in Bird Nation."

Evander unapologetically ridiculed him, not mincing his words.

"Whether you forget or not, Olivia still just a bed warmer! Why should she parade around wearing the title Mrs. Moore!" Daniel continued his grievances.

"Ha, as if you understand so much!" Evander countered sharply, as if speaking on behalf of Olivia.

Felix Shaw calmly swirled his wine glass, obviously with no intention of getting involved.

Nicholas Croft, as the elder of the group, wasn’t in a position to say much either.

"Knock, knock," a knocking sound came from the door, followed by a head poking in, revealing a heavily made-up young face.
