Returning to his room, Titus Zane placed the drenched bedding on the floor and walked towards the large bed.

It must have taken a lot of water, as the mattress was soaked in places, with few dry spots to be found.

His head was pounding terribly, especially when he saw that even his place of rest was gone.

After standing silently in front of the bed for a while, Titus Zane went to the wardrobe to find a cashmere coat, and grabbed a soft pillow before heading to the terrace outside.

Ever since moving into the villa, he had developed a habit of sunbathing, no matter the season, taking every opportunity to sit outside and soak up the sun each day.

There, a soft cushion was laid out, and sometimes when lying on it, basking in the warm sunlight, he would feel that there was still some warmth in this world that belonged to him.

The night was dim, and although it was still a bit chilly, lying on the soft cushion and covered with the cashmere coat, he felt much warmer.

With a shriek, the world spun as Titus Zane was thrown onto the bed, his clothes already chaotically disheveled, followed by the tearing sound of fabric pulled apart once again.

"Don’t... Nathan Moore, please... I’m begging you, don’t do this... you are my brother-in-law... you cannot treat me like this..."

Titus Zane kept shaking his head, his full forehead covered with fine beads of sweat, his brows tightly furrowed, and his porcelain face flushed with an abnormal red.

Clutching himself, he curled up into a ball, his body trembling ceaselessly.

"Sir, Miss Zane has a fever." Aunt Liu reached out to feel Titus’s temperature on his forehead, turned back, and looked at the silent man standing there, pleading again.
