Chapter 53: 53, Titus Zane said, Nathan Moore, let’s live well.
Titus Zane’s action was also dangerously thrilling, causing the nannies below the observation deck to gasp in fright, but thankfully, Nathan Moore was quick to catch him.
Everyone was scared out of their wits.
Nathan Moore’s handsome face became even more gloomy, as he spoke in a voice devoid of any warmth above Titus Zane’s head, yet, he didn’t push away the one who threw herself into his embrace.
"If you want to die next time, just go for it! Stop scaring people with your antics!"
"I didn’t want to die, I just felt upset..." Titus Zane leaned his full weight on Nathan Moore, resting his head on Nathan’s shoulder, his words slurred.
Olivia Zane was already pushed into the bedroom by Chun Ya, who turned back to instruct the others upon seeing the two still in an embrace.
"Why don’t you go over and help her onto the bed!"
"Oh," Chun Ya replied and began walking over, reaching out to Titus Zane, only to be met with a cold glance from Nathan Moore. Although he said nothing, the message was clear.
Chun Ya wisely dropped her hand, looking helplessly at Olivia Zane, "Madam."
Olivia Zane was momentarily stunned but soon regained her composure, smiling and just about to speak when Nathan Moore looked at Chun Ya, his gloomy demeanor unchanged.
"Everyone go back to your own business, there’s nothing interesting about a drunkard throwing a tantrum."
"Yes, Sir," Chun Ya responded with her head lowered, feeling unfairly treated. She was simply following the Madam’s orders to help the person into bed, yet the Sir accused her of rubbernecking.
"Nathan..." Olivia Zane began with a smile, intending to stay to take care of her sister, but Nathan Moore spoke before she could.
"Be good and go back to your room. The smell of alcohol here isn’t good for you."
Nathan Moore’s voice softened a lot, and Olivia Zane could not insist, letting Chun Ya push her out of the room.
In the bedroom, only Titus Zane and Nathan Moore were left. Titus Zane still clung to Nathan Moore, his head resting on Nathan’s shoulder and arms hooked around his neck, body occasionally swaying.
If it were not for Nathan Moore’s support, he would have probably fallen to the floor already.
Nathan Moore cast a glance at the woman hanging off his shoulder, tightening the arm around her waist a bit as he led her towards the large bed together.
Titus Zane felt the world spinning for a moment, then found himself lying on the bed in an inelegant position.
However, his arms remained wrapped around Nathan Moore’s neck, tightly, unwilling to let go.
Nathan Moore looked down at the woman with eyes closed, lifted his hand, and was about to pry open the arms around his neck.
A murmur spilled from the deeply inebriated Titus Zane.
"Nathan Moore, stop torturing me, let’s get along well..."
Nathan Moore’s movements paused, and although he supported Titus Zane’s hand, he did not move it away; he frowned, looking at the woman before him, and a complex emotion flashed through his deep eyes.
The arms around his neck tightened, forcing Nathan Moore to support himself with his hand on the bed to avoid pressing down on Titus Zane.
At the same time, their faces had to be extremely close.
So close, that Titus Zane buried his face in Nathan’s neck.
Then, Nathan Moore heard a faint sob, followed by another murmur from the crook of his neck.
"Let’s have a baby... and live a good life with Olivia..."
Nathan Moore’s hand braced on the bed involuntarily clenched tighter, his body tensing.
Raising the back of one hand, he intended to move the face nestled in his neck, but then heard another sob echo.
"Is that okay..."
He felt pain on his shoulder, where the heavily intoxicated woman bit down, there was also a wet heat, and Nathan Moore looked down to see the light grey home attire shoulder soaked through.
