Chapter 51, serve and drink by oneself

Chapter 51: 51, serve and drink by oneself

Titus Zane wandered outside for a long time before he decided to head back.

Entering the villa’s hall, his expression somewhat vacant, he seemed not to notice the two people inside, heading straight for the staircase.

"Miss Zane is back," Aunt Liu just came out of the kitchen, rolling up her apron and drying her hands while smiling and asking, "Have you had lunch? I can go and heat it up for you now."

"No need," Titus Zane glanced at Aunt Liu indifferently and continued up the stairs while holding the handrail, stopping after reaching one level, he turned to look at Aunt Liu, "Aunt Liu, I’ve finished the red wine in my room."

Aunt Liu turned to look at the man on the sofa, who said nothing as he stared at Titus Zane’s figure, and seeing that he didn’t object, she smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Miss Zane, I’ll bring it up to you right away."

"Thank you." Uttering these two numb words, Titus Zane climbed the stairs.

"Sister seems a bit odd," Olivia Zane withdrew her gaze, talking to herself, then turned to Nathan Moore.

"Nathan, you should go and check on her..."

"No." Olivia Zane hadn’t finished her sentence when Nathan Moore interrupted her, reaching for the teacup in front of him and taking a light sip, his expression cold.

Olivia Zane pressed her lips together, no longer speaking.

Nathan Moore had always been this cold and unapproachable, but in the past when they were together, he rarely treated her like this.

Entering his own room, Titus Zane felt as if he had lost all strength, leaning against the door and slowly sliding to the floor.

Sitting on the floor, with the cold door behind him, Titus Zane gave a small laugh.

As he laughed, tears began to flow.

Logan has someone he likes, he has someone he likes...

Titus Zane repeated this to himself, even though he had always hoped that Logan Ray would forget him and find a good woman, yet when Logan Ray truly found the person he loved, the pain in Titus Zane’s heart was unbearable.

His hand tightly clutched at the place where his suit was, the velvet tracksuit wrinkling into folds.

"Miss Zane, I’ve brought your red wine," the door he leaned on knocked gently twice – it was Aunt Liu, bringing the red wine.

Titus Zane quickly wiped the wet marks off his face and composed himself before getting up from the floor, opening the door, and taking the red wine from Aunt Liu’s hand, his lips curved in thanks.

"Thank you."

Then he closed the door.

Aunt Liu, left outside, raised her hand intending to knock again, to say something comforting.

Miss Zane liked to drown her sorrows in alcohol when she felt down, and there was once she came up to get something and stumbled upon Miss Zane so drunk she was unconscious.

But after a moment’s thought, Aunt Liu sighed and chose to walk away.

The master was at home; it wasn’t her place as a housekeeper to worry about such matters.

It would be good for the master to see Miss Zane’s distress, so she wouldn’t be troubled in the future.

Placing the red wine on the small round table, Titus Zane changed out of his tracksuit into comfortable wide-leg pants and a high-necked sweater.

Being an artist, even his daily living carried an air of artistic flair.

Like his choice in lounge wear.

Others might choose soft cotton and casual sportswear, but even at home, Titus Zane cared greatly about his image.

A selection of beige wide-leg pants paired with a high-neck sweater of the same color scheme, then draped with a dark shawl, his tied-up ponytail was also let down, and the bangs that covered his forehead were also tucked behind his ears.

Opening the red wine, Titus Zane walked to the floor-to-ceiling window with a bottle in one hand and a wine glass in the other, stepping out onto the balcony.

The Marble surface, just about waist-high, was supported by columns in their natural shape.

Although it was past early spring, the weather was still bitterly cold.

But Titus Zane didn’t mind these things, sitting askew on the marble surface, pouring himself a glass of red wine, enjoying the scenery outside alone, sipping his wine in solitude.
