Long Yubei chuckled, "They can’t compare to you. You’re important to me."

Gu Lili pouted, "I don’t believe that."

"Without them, I could always hire a new batch of employees. But without you, where would I find someone like you?"

The words were so touching, yet Gu Lili didn’t believe a single word of the latter half.

"Without me, there are thousands of women eager to sleep with you. If you really wanted someone to satisfy your needs, it wouldn’t be hard."

"I... I think my period’s coming. I’ll go upstairs and check it out."

With her legs clamped together, she sprinted upstairs to the bathroom to check and found out that it indeed had.

She quickly changed clothes, pulled out a sanitary pad, then washed her underwear. Gu Lili felt a dull ache in her lower abdomen and laid down on the bed after finishing.

Long Yubei went upstairs to check, learning her period indeed had come. He sat at the bedside, lips curved, "We won’t be able to touch your cute little self for the next few days. How about I make you some brown sugar water?"

"Okay."

After a little while, he came in with the brown sugar water, setting it on the table to cool.

Gu Lili held his hand, "Since you’re not going to work today, keep me company and chat with me."

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Honey, the longer I spend time with you, the more I feel the difference between now and when we first met. You’re so good to me. If I keep clinging to you and you get tired of me, what will I do if I don’t want to leave?"

"That probably won’t happen." He looked at her gently, "I treat you well because I want to. If I get tired of you, naturally I won’t treat you well. If I don’t treat you well, why wouldn’t you want to leave me?"

"That makes sense." She looked up at the man beside her, whose perfect features framed an unparalleled handsome face. Such a person of great talent was truly easy to get lost in.
