Chapter 98: DO I LOOK GOOD?
Gavi rushed to where his momma and great grandpa were before he raised his arm bending him to show them his ’bicep’ and said, "See!" And then he also raised his vest a little, revealing his fluffy little tummy.
"I also want my body to be strong and big like Uncle Dante. See, momma! Do you see any progress?" He said looking down at his tummy before raising his head and looking at his mother innocently.
Dove pressed her lips from laughing out loud, and she nodded her head, "Yes, yes. I can your one day progress."
And hearing his mom say that, Gavi grinned and nodded his head. "That’s right. I am going to soon look like Uncle Dante." Gavi grinned and said.
Senior Sterling looked at the little boy and asked in curiosity, "And how did you suddenly get enlightened to get up early in the morning."
And Gavi very happily went on telling how he had last night went to Dante to his room, and he looked at his body. Uncle Dante’s body was just like the ones that they showed in the magazines. And then he decided to train with Dante.
Senior Sterling laughed hearing that and nodded his head, "That’s good. That’s good. You should learn to be fit and fine from your Uncle Dante."
Dove smiled and then ruffled his somewhat sweaty hairs and said, "Alright, Gavi, and go and get ready fast. We need to leave early."
Gavi blinked his eyes and then frowned a little and said, "But Momma, isn’t it still very early for you to leave for office?" He was wondering if he could go and sleep after so much exercise now.
But then he suddenly saw everyone looking at him with blank, judgemental eyes saying nothing. "Uh?"
"Gavi, have you forgotten?" Dove said raising her eyes and the little boy blinked his eyes and asked again, "Forgotten what, momma?"
And then Dante said from behind, "You are starting your kindergarten from today onwards, Master Gavriel."
"..." Gavi blinked his eyes, before his eyes slowly windened, "!!!" Oh no! So the day finally arrived!!?
And then everyone saw how the little boy’s energy just... dropped. He sighed and nodded his head and said, "Alright, I am going." And then hanging his head downwards with droppy shoulders he dragged his feet away to his room.
The other three adults looked at the little figure with so much hesitation. And looking at him, Senior Sterling asked in question, "Why does Little Gavriel all of a sudden look like that?"
And to that, Dove chuckled lightly and she said, "Its nothing, he is just doesn’t want to go to school. He thinks that there are annoying little kids, and that he doesn’t need to go to kindergarten as he already knows how to read and write."
Hearing that, Senior Sterling frowned lightly and shook his head saying, "No, this is not a very good thing to assume." After all, though Gavi might be smarter than other kids yet he needs to mingle with other kids and learn and participate in the co circular that happens in the school. And that is very important in his growth and development.
"Yes, and I and Lisa have already explained that to him. And that is why, he has still agreed to go to school, despite his strong belief of the opposite." Dove said as she remembered the face that the little boy makes whenever he thinks of going to school.
At that, Dante too laughed a little and then commented, "But he will understand that once he starts going to school and my mingles with others. And at that time, I am sure that he himself will be enjoying it. "
And hearing him, Senior Sterling and Dove nodded their heads.
After some time, Gavi stood in a towel, as he saw his momma get his uniform ready. He was still a little kid, after all. And though the house helps could help him get ready, he only wanted his momma to help him get ready. And even Dove enjoyed it herself.
She had just nicely applied lotion all over his body, and he was now standing their waiting for her to help with wear the uniform. And looking at the clothes Gavi huffed in his mind.
The admission process and everything got done so soon! Couldn’t it take a little more time!
But well, as it was just a kindergarten, Gavi got his admission without any problem, and everything got done soon, given that he was already smart, and given Dove’s position, it wasn’t something very big to deal with.
In truth, Gavi had not forgotten about today being the first day of joining school today. But he really did not wish to go.
He strongly believed that there were more kids like Andy, who would annoy him the whole day.
After all, that Andy had not only broken an arm of his favourite toy, but also had ruined his drawing, saying that what Gavi had drawn was not that pretty and he could improvise it. And eventually ruining it all the wrong colours and then he also spilled his juice all over his colouring book, where he had coloured so many beautiful drawings.
But Gavi had exercised so much patience with that little kid, and did not throw his temper around.
And before finally leaving, Andy had told him, ’Brother Gavi! You are so cool! Why don’t you join my kindergarten! There are so many kids like me there. We will all be friends and we are going to enjoy so, so much."
And that stuck to him like a horror spell! What did he say? There are going to be other kids like him?! And for some reasons that became like a dread to Gavi.
And finally, he got ready and saw his reflection in the mirror, before nodding his head in satisfaction. As much as he does not want to go to that place, but Gavi had to admit that he does look good in the uniform.
He twisted his body left, and then right, and he saw himself from all the angles before coughing and then clearing his throat and looking up at his mother, he said, "Momma, do I look good?"
Dove smiled, as her son asked her if he looked nice so adorably. And she reached out for him, and pulled him into her arms and kissed his cheeks. Once, then twice and then many times, before she took in the babish smell he still had, and said, "My baby is looking so cute. Gavi is looking very handsome."
And hearing his mom praise him, Gavi’s eyes shone and he pursed his lips, before cripping, "Thank you, momma?"
Well, ofcourse Gavi knew that he was looking very handsome. But he liked taking validation from his momma. Dove’s validation were a source of joy for him.
Just then, Dante too knocked on the door. He was too ready for the day, and looking at them, he smiled at them before asking, "Everything ready?"
Dove turned her head towards the door, and seeing Dante she nodded her head and said, "Yes, we are done."
And as she turned, Gavi came into view and looking at him, Dante’s eyes slightly widened and a smile appeared on his lips. "Wow. Master Gavriel is looking very handsome. A handsome little kid." Dante complimented, as his son really looked good in the uniform.
The uniform was much more in a formal sense, and he was wearing a blazer, and a full pant. He looked an adorable little gentleman.
Gavi’s cheeks turned pink, as he also heard Dante praising him, and he thanked him. Dante then walked into the room, and pulled out his phone and asked, "How about we click some pictures of you, Gavi?"
Gavi looked at Dante, and then the phone camera before he nodded his head and said happily, "Alright, uncle Dante!"
And then Dante snapped a few pictures of his son. It was his son’s first day at school.
They should definitely preserve all this memories very dearly.
And on the other side, Gavi too pulled out different poses for the pictures. And when they were done, Dove looked at her son in awe and she asked him, "Baby, where did you learn those poses dear?" She asked with a chuckle.
"I saw those actors and models do these in the TV!" he replied excitedly.
