Everyone had a frown on their faces, smaller and deeper varied.

Senior Sterling too frowned, but he did not say anything and let Dove handle it on her own. It wasn’t like, him interfering in it would do it any good.

Even Dante had a cold expression on his face. The way he glared at that particular reporter, it felt like he was ready to slap the shit out of him of he implied somethinh wrong.

He turned his head slightly to look at his son, who was in that room behind the glass, laughing at something.

Someone dare say something about my son! That was what going on in his mind.

Dove on the other side, blinked before she subtly looked at a certain direction from the corner of her eyes, to see a certain father- Son duo have a sneer on their lips.

And this made her smirk. Just as she thought.

Dove then looked at the the reporter, before smiling brightly at him, "Hello, thank you for your question."

She chuckled before she slightly leaned froward in a more comfortable yet intimidating position and slightly tilted her head, "Of course, what you heard is right. I have a very adorable little son."

"....!!?" And the next second, the whole fell in complete silence. The silence so deafening that it banged on their ears. She just accepted? Just like that?

Dove looked at their dumbfolded face and said again, "And he is now three years old, and a very cute kid. In fact, I brought him with me today. By the way, how did you know, Mister? After all, we just landed yesterday and not many people got the chance to know about my pregnancy. In fact, I haven’t even told more than a handful of people about it.

I wonder who spread the news about me as a rumour."

And saying that in a very innocent tone, as if she hadn’t meant anything else, Dove turned her head to look at where Jacob and Noren were sitting. She gave them a glance at their utterly dumbfolded and confused faces, before she chuckled lightly.

She then gave her attention back to the man and raised her eyebrows, "Yes, Mister? You were saying something?"

The reporter himself for a moment did not know what to say, but then cleared his throat and said, "T- that, it isn’t too hard to catch a rumour, Miss Dove. In fact majority of the people here have listened about the rumour."

Dove slightly raised her eyebrows acting surprised, though she already knew that and said, "Oh? Is that so?"

The reporter subconsciously looked towards Jacob and Noren’s direction and when he saw their blackened face, he knew he had to say or do something. He cleared his throat and asked again, "But Miss Dove, aren’t you unmarried? And also, what image would you set yourself about being the CEO of Sterling Corporation with a past like that of yours?"

Dove did not say anything for a couple seconds, but staring at theam straight in the eye, before she chuckled and said, "So what?"

"Huh?" It was the common reaction in the room. The complete nonchalant behaviour of her shocked everyone. They were not at all expecting her to be so open and... Proud about it.

Dove smirked as she noted everybody’s reaction and then said, "So what? I wanted to have a baby, and I had him. It was me who held him in my womb, who raised him, and who will further raise him up. So why do I need any one else’s validation about it? And you say image? I think I have a very good image worthy of being the CEO of The Sterling Corporations. And anything more than or about my personal life, is nobody’s business.

You see, I am not an influencer or a celebrity who preaches moral values. I am a businesswoman, whose sole purpose in her career is to make up and build her company to new heights.

Moreover, Mr Journalist, if I am not wrong than there are more people with more past, something that might even need more of your attention, you should give your attention there."

At that moment , the reporter pressed his lips together. And then for the last time he tried, "Miss Dove, but you are a businesswoman. And though you might not be the influencing model, yet a lot of young girls would treat you like a role model, some day wanting to be like you. Is this a good example that you are setting?"

At him saying this, Dove tilted her head to the side, and said, "Then Mr Journalist, you might be aware how many business men actually have illegitimate children out of their wedlocks? From children other than their legally wedded wife? And yet, you are here pointing at me for having a son with my own legal name, just before marriage. You don’t question those men, but you are questioning me just because I am a woman? That’s very sexist at the first place." And saying so, Dove pouted a little.

Then she said again, "Moreover, of young girls are really being influenced by me, then I would like to say that..." And she turned straight towards the camera and said, "Girls, study well. Make yourself a career, be someone people chase of your attention. Earn money so you don’t have to seek anyone’s validation and you can do whatever you want.

Be independent, be your pretty self and love yourself and your people." And saying so, she winked at the camera.

The whole hall stunned into silence. S- she was just too captivating. Let alone the men, even all the women present there were blushing.

One of the woman covered her mouth, her eyes sparkling and her cheeks turning red, and she squealled, "She is so cool!"

The man slightly turned red and before he knew she spoke out, "But aren’t you bothered that your son doesn’t have a fat-"

But before he could finish, Dove said, "Uh- huh! Careful, mister. My son’s father wouldn’t like that. And me? You better be careful."

It was a blatant warning right there.
