Chapter 67: YOU KNOW ME!!

Not bearing to witness his Boss stare at Miss Dove like a love struck fool any longer, he reached out to his back, taking a step forward before pinching him hard to his senses! Come on, Boss! Get back to your senses! At least keep some face and don’t look so desperate! Calix yelled in his mind in embarrassment! Well, at this point, he did not even care, if he would be punished by Dante later. All her knew was that, he had to do this!

The next second, Dante lightly flinched and hissed as he felt a sharp pain on his back. He, at once turned towards Calix who was standing at his side, glaring at him! This eyes deadly, screaming, ’what the hell are you trying to do?!’

But Calix who did not seem to be bothered by his glare, looking back at him unyieldingly and he looked at him with a straight face, and slid his eyes, signaling him to look at his hands still holding Dove’s.

Dante’s eyes followed his. Before falling on what he was trying to show and he froze. And the next second, he at once let her hand go, and he lowered his head. No way! No way, did I do that! Have I lost my damn mind! He hissed in his head.

Dove, withdrew her hand with a small smile looking at him being awkward. It was not like he had held it for very long, she did not really mind it. But seeing him being awkward, she did not even know what to tell him.

She was about to open her mouth to speak, when her son spoke up, "Uncle, were you so stunned by her mamma’s beauty, that you forgot to blink for a while?"

"..." Dante, he did not know what to say, felt heat creeping up to his face.

"..." Senior Sterling who had noticed Dante earlier and was smiling to himself, also felt speechless on hearing his grandson bring that up.

"..." Calix felt likle face palming himself. See Boss! Even a little kid noticed more than you! And yet you here were unaware! Have some shame!!!

"..." Dove, widened her eyes not expecting her son to catch it up and speak about it so bluntly. Looking at him, she said, "Gavi! You shouldn’t say like this!" Sometimes she really felt that having a son smarter than his age was very more troublesome than something to be proud off.

Gavi pressed his lips together before shrugging his shoulders and drawing small circles in the air with his little fingers and said, "I.. was just telling."

But then Dante chuckled, getting all the attention of the people around and he said, "Gavriel is right. I was indeed a little stunned." Dove blinked her eyes not expecting him to say that, and heard him say again, "To think that the little girl, I used to play with when I was small and visited here, has now become such a beautiful woman." And the mother of my naughty kid.

Dove’s lips parted a little clearly not expecting him to say that. She was not at all expecting him to remember anything about that. And honestly, neither did Dante actually rememeber it that well! He remembered that he used to play with her when she was a toddler. But not so vividly to bring that up! Well but he had to save the situation.

"Oh, then it is definitely nice meeting you, Mr Lancaster." Dove smiled. And they she said, "After all, I think this is the first time I am meeting you after myself gaining consciousness. But,"

"..." And at that point, Dante felt like he had been splashed by a cold freezing water on top of his head. S- she doesn’t remember! A haunting reality caught him straight up! He could understand that she deosn’t remember him from that night four years ago. But she doesn’t even remember when when they had seen each other face to face, and had even nodded her head at him!

H- He just knew that he wasn’t looking so good that day! She had not even turned back to look at him even once! Dante, poor Dante! He was even about to cry! He was just at the verge of it. And before he knew, Dante blurted out, "No, we have met!"

And when he said that, Calix and Senior Sterling they whipped their heads to look at him. Senior Sterling raised an eyebrow slightly, waiting for Dante to speak next. While Calix, for a moment, he received a panic attack. ’B- Boss! You are not going to say that right!’

"Four years ago," And as soon as Dante said that, Dove furrowed slightly, and Calix widened his eyes sop big that his eyeballs would fall out of his sockets anytime now. W-w – wait! "Four years ago, I came to meet your grandpa. And while I was leaving with my men, you were entering the mansion. And that time we saw each other!" Dante tried to make her remember that. And if she was still not going to remember him, then Dante knew fore sure that he was about to cry!

Dove furrowed her eyebrows slightly, before she opened her eyes wide wide and laughed a little, "Oh exactly! I remember now." And as soon as he heard that, only Dante knew how relived he was! Oh, he had almost thanked every heaven in that split of second.

Dove smiled and said, "Oh that was why, I was wondering why was I having that feeling that I have seen you somewhere."

Dante smiled back at him. And though he was relived, but he was also not satisfied that she did not recognise him the moment she saw him. That only meant that they had to work on his appearance even more.

Standing behind him, Calix who couldn’t see his face properly. But being beside Dante all these years, he could read his mind from the aura that he was giving off! His Boss is a gone case from every angle.

And then Senior Sterling also introduced Calix, as Dante’s assistant.
