Chapter 51: GAVRIEL STERLING
Chapter 51: GAVRIEL STERLING
Lisa looked at the mother and son’s sweet interaction, smiling at them swooningly and said, "Aww, look at such a heart warming sight. It so good to look. Gavi dear, can’t you always be such a sweet little kid, except for being such a tornado at times." Gavi looked at Lisa, while still hugging his mother and smiled before squinting his eyes in a smile and lightly waved his hand, "Nice to meet you, Aunty."
Lisa smiled ear to ear waving back at him, but then, the next second, her smile turned stiff and she squinted her eyes at him a little, "Hm... Something feels wrong." She murmured. How come this little demon is behaving so sweetly all of a sudden. She stared at the heart melting face of Gavi , who was currently kissing his mother’s cheeks, before she shook her head, "I must be thinking too much. Sometimes, Little Gavi is sweet too." Which is very rare. That went silent.
Anyway, Lisa picked up one last sandwich from the box, while looking at the heart warming scene of the mother and son, before taking a big bite. But just she started chewing on the mouthful, the smile on her lips started disappearing and her face started contouring. She got up from the chair, before rushing to the washroom to throw it. And while she did that, Gavi slowly peeked his head out of his mother’s embrace and giggled. An mischievous look appeared on his face.
Dove blinked her eyes and walked towards the washroom with worry marred on her face, and she called softly, "Lisa, are you okay?" they heard her washing her mouth.
"What happened to her all of a sudden?" Dove murmured with worry. But then, she too thought of something and then turned to look at the child she was carrying in her arms. Looing at him side eyedly, she found him looking at the washroom door.
No one would know from his expressions, but Dove was his mother, and she could see that mischievous look on his face. "Gavi . You did something again?" Gavi looked at his mother blinked his eyes before blinking and he was just about to shake his head, when the door of the washroom flew open, and Lisa’s voice thundered in the office, "Gavriel Sterling! You little demon!! I am going to get you today!"
Gavriel jumped down his mother’s arms with a giggling squeal and ran around the spacious office to get away from Lisa, and he laughed, "Haha! Aunty! You can not catch me!"
Lisa, who was fuming in anger huffed and yelled, "You little thing! You added the pickle in that sandwich, didn’t you? You know that I don’t like pickles at all!"
Gavriel laughed as he ran across the office with his little legs, while Lisa chased him. "Who told you not to like pickles, Aunty? Don’t you know that we must eat everything and not be a picky eater. My momma tells me to eat everything!"
"You~" But alas, Lisa’s legs were longer, and she caught him fast. "Caught you!" Lisa held him as the little chipmunk wiggled his body in her hold, and Lisa smirked, "Hah! Playing smart with me, huh? I am seven times older than you, alright!"
Gavriel turned towards Lisa, blinking his eyes, before snickering and he said, "Aunty, did you not feel old like a granny, saying this?" And exactly, Lisa’s face contoured, before she started tickling him, making him wiggle around in laughter.
After laughing for a while, Gavriel crawled away from Lisa, to get to his mother, who was observing them with a laugh, "Mom! Carry me!" He said. And Dove happily obliged. Carrying him in her arms, she looked at her son, and said, "Gavi , that is not very nice of you. You know that Aunty doesn’t like pickles, isn’t it? Why did you do that? Tell her that you are sorry."
Gavriel pouted his lips and looked at Lisa blinking unapologetically and asked, "But I just added pickles to the sandwiches. How would I know that Aunty would eat that particular sandwich." He then shrugged, shaking his head, "You see, aunty. It is just bad being greedy. You were greedy and tried eating more, and you got that one. Hihi." Lisa squinted her eyes, glaring at him and said, "You little boy! You seem to be sharpening your little mouth, huh? And by the way, why would you specially put that pickle in there?"
To which, Gavriel grinned and said, "Hehe, because I knew you will eat that." After all, Lisa rarely ate outside, and Dove had specially asked the kitchen to prepare for her.
Lisa huffed, "You...! I will see you little one!"
Dove laughed at the two’s interaction. Gavriel was a naughty little one. He was a cute and angelic looking boy, but one should not go to and believe his looks, as he was one hell of a mischievous little child. And Lisa, they too would bicker most of the times, but they had one of the best bonds.
"Alright, now stop quarrelling you two." Dove said, and then looking at Gavriel , she patted his head, and coaxed him, "And Gavi , come on, say sorry to your Aunty. No matter if you were just pranking or not. You must say sorry. It is manners."
Lisa nodded her head and folded her arms, "Hm, I am waiting." Then Gavriel turned towards Lisa, before winking and said, "Pretty Aunty, Lisa, Gavi is sorry. I am sure, you wouldn’t hold such little things against me, would you?"
Lisa put a hand on her mouth and said, "Oh my! Gavi , are you trying to charm me?" To which Gavriel nodded his head profusely and said, "Hihi, yes! I am."
Lisa laughed before walking towards him before she picked him up in his arms and said, "Oh Gavi baby, I meet many good looking people at work. But why does your charm always work on me?"
Gavriel combed his little fingers through his hairs and smirked, "Because I am my beautiful mom’s handsome son."
"Hihi, you are." Lisa ruffled his hairs saying that.

It was dinner time, when the three of them sat at the dinner table. Lisa then glanced at Gavriel before telling Dove, "Dove, what have you thought about Gavi ?"
"Hm?" Dove looked at Lisa before humming in question.
Lisa shrug softly and said, "You see, Gavi is already three years old. Now is the perfect age for him to get enrolled in a play school or kindergarten. Though, Gavi is much smarter than than other kids of his age. I am not concerned about his studies. He already knows how to read and write better. But it is more about getting along with other kids of his age. Don’t you think so, that rather than being around you and I, and other adults, it is better for him to hang out with other kids to his age?"
Gavriel, who was quietly putting the broccoli aside from his plate, his ears perked on him being mentioned in his mother’s and aunt’s talk, and he looked at them. "I don’t want to go and be around those stupid little kids!" Gavriel said at once, catching the other two girl’s attention.
"Huh? But why?" Dove asked in question, arching one of her eyebrows, looking at her son.
Gavriel shook his head and said, "Those kids are so annoying. Andy was so stupid. I don’t want to be around those kids." And saying that Gavriel scrunched up his nose.
Andy was the little grandchild of one of the senior manager in their company. Andy was almost the same age as Gavi. And as Gavriel would always accompany Dove, and did not really have any friends of his age, the manager that proposed Dove, that his son and grandson had come to visit him for a few days. So why not let Gavi play with him. It would make him be less lonely and he would like it.
Dove also thought it to be a good idea. After all, Gavi did need to get along with children of his age. And Dove did not want her son to miss out in anything that was best for his age.
But it turned out that Gavriel found Andy very annoying. Well, it was a fact that Gavi was a bit more smarter than kids of his age. He understood things better. While Andy was just a normal three year old. He would always go around Gavi, being himself, asking questions, that Gavi found ’silly’ and ’stupid’. While Andy would look at him with shiny eyes, like a role model, and would keep himself latched to him.
