Chapter 49: COMING WITH YOU

Dove read the letter with her pupils shaking. And her heart drumming in her chest. It was not even a handwritten letter but a printed one.

After reading the letter, Dove slowly lowered the letter, a lots of questions going on in her mind. Who sent this letter? The person who sent the letter told her that he was her child’s father. That means the man in the hotel that night, with her.

But then the next second, that possibility also entertained her mind, whether if this letter was just a prank by someone to get her. And at that possibility, Dove reread the letter, and her eyebrows furrowed deeply. Who ever sent her this letter, he knew that she had been to the clinic for abortion. But how? Because apart from Lisa and her, no one knew about it. And if that was even true, Dove knew that, that man was involved in something serious. No wonder, he said that it would bring them trouble.

But then again, all this may not be exactly the truth. What if someone just knew?

Dove sat there on the bed quietly for a while thinking about a lot of things. This thing, it is not something she could be discussing with someone. After after sometime, a resolute expression appeared on her face, and she slowly tore the paper into pieces , before dumping that pieces paper into the glass of water.

"I don’t know who you are, nor I know what you do. What you said is even real or not? But what I know is that, this baby is mine. And I am not going to let any thing bad happen or come to our lives." Dove did not care about anything else.

When Dove reached the airport, she looked around waiting for Lisa, as the girl had told her that she would come to see her at the airport. And calling her, Lisa told her that she would be here in five minutes.

Waiting for her, Dove remembered Senior Sterling’s face. He told her that he could not come with her to see her off, because he wasn’t feeling well. But Dove knew the truth. He was sad. Very sad, that Dove was leaving. She even spotted the moisture at the corner of his eyes, when she bid him the last good bye. Letting out a shaky sigh, Dove closed her eyes to calm her emotions.

Reopening her eyes, she smiled bitterly, and murmured, "Everything will be fine, grandpa." IN her mind, she had already made up that she would make Grandpa visit her there, even if she had to whine him like a little child. But she knew that it is not possible so soon. She would just wait for a while, as his anger lessens.

"Dove~ I am here!" Just then she heard the cheerful voice was Lisa, who was waving at her, before making her way towards her. Dove smiled looking at her, but soon that smile flatten a little into confusion when she saw her holding two big suitcases with her.

"Hii! I am here! The taxi~ oh my God! It was stuck in traffic." Lisa shook her head, giving an explanation to why she was late.

Dove nodded her head with a small smile, and then looking down at her luggage, she asked, "Are you also going somewhere?" After all, Lisa had a habit of gossiping with Dove and she would keep her updated about everything she did and would go.

But Dove did not know that Lisa would be going somewhere today.

And now when Dove asked this question, Lisa rubbed the back of her neck and she said, "Well, I am coming with you."

"What?" Dove couldn’t help but gasp. And Lisa let out a boyish smile and said, "See I had no plans from a lot before. But you are going through such a difficult time, and then in this situation you would have to handle so much by your own. So, I thought that perhaps I can help being beside you. I have applied at the same university as you, and had also applied for a scholarship loan, and surprisingly they accepted it, thanks to my merits. But I don’t have a place to live, as you see my family isn’t as great as yours to have houses in many other countries like you. So I will rely on you to live. I know I had not informed you about any of things prior, and I am sorry for that. But you see, I have spend all my savings on arranging all of this for the last week. So don’t deny me, please! Please let me be beside you, and be the Godmother to the child of the future owner and CEO of Sterling Corporations!"

Lisa clapped her hands joining it together and bringing it in front of her face in a pleading position to Dove! While the latter could only stare dumbly at the girl. Dove opened her mouth and then closed it again. Lisa’s words replaying in her mind like a recorder.

After a minute passed by, and Dove did not say anything, Lisa slowly raised her head a little, and peeked, "Eh? Did I render you a lot speechless? At least say something, you are raising my heartbeat." Lisa murmured with a pout.

And the next second, Lisa pouted as Dove pulled her in a tight hug!

Lisa blinked her eyes a couple of times, before she felt Dove’s body shaking a little. At this, Lisa’s features softened a little, as she let go of her luggage, and hugged her back. "Dove?" She called softly.

And she heard Dove sniff softly and say, "Thank you. Thank you so much." She whispered, her eyes tearing up. She couldn’t hold her tears any longer and they fell from her eyes, dampening Lisa’s shirt. "Thank you for all this." No matter what Lisa had in her mind while doing all this, but she was just grateful that she did all this for her. And was coming with her.
