Chapter 33: THAT ACTING WAS PATHETIC

"Well, the days that have come now. It is better to trust more than adults." Simon said.

"What? Are you saying that we are not his parents?" The man’s face darkened as he looked at Simon. Simon kept that same face with a slight smile on his face, and he shook his head. "I am not saying that. All I am saying is, the boy is very heavily injured that doesn’t look to happen by just a naughty boy throwing tantrums. We should go to the authorities first. Investigate the matter properly before letting the kid go with you."

The couple’s face turned black and he said while gritting his teeth, "So you are not letting the child go with us?" To which, Simon still did not flinch and said, "I never said that. What I said was that lets go to the authorities, and confirm it once. You are the kid’s really parents aren’t you? And you did nothing wrong. So what are you scared of?"

"You!" The woman couldn’t help but hiss. Before she looked at Dante and said in her firm tone, "Dante! Come here!" Gone was her gentle façade.

"U- Uncle! T- they have kidnapped me!" The young Dante said in a shaking voice. And hearing him, Simon’s eyebrows raised and he said, "Honestly, I had an idea." And then he smirked and said, "You both must not be parents in real lives too. Because that acting that you were doing of being his parents just a while ago, was pathetic. No parents act in that way after seeing their child in this condition."

And when they both heard him say that, those traces of acting wiped off their faces and they scrolled. "You old son of a bitch!" the man spat, and then said, "Fine! If you are smart enough of to get fooled. They don’t blame us for breaking some of your bones!

And when heard that Dante’s eyes widened in horror and he whispered, "What?!" And he trembled.

But all he heard was the good uncle laugh and said, "Its good. It has been quite sometime since this old limbs of mine has done some kind of exercise like this. And he cracked his knuckles.

Then turning to the little boy, he smiled at him lovingly and he said, "My dear. Why don’t you turn around and not see whatever is happening here, okay? Only turn around when I tell you too. Is that okay?"

Little Dante looked at him with fear in his eyes. But looking at that reassuring gaze, he nodded his head and whispered, "Okay."

And very obediently he turned around.

The next what he head was Simon say, "Come on. Take the kid if you dare." He heard him provoke them.

And then all he heard was sounds of hitting and punches, and yells and sheirks. Dante was very worried that the old uncle would get hurt while saving him. He wanted to turn around and see. But then he resisted knowing that he had promised him.

And all the time his heart was racing like crazy.

After what felt forever, Dante heard the Old uncle’s voice, "Little kid, you slvan turn around now."

And at once, Dante turned around to look at him with big, worried eyes. But when he saw that the Old uncle’s wasn’t hurt, and had his sleeves rolled up. And then he turned to look at the other two who were on the ground aching in pain.

And his eyes shone. Old Uncle had beaten them to ground! He looked at Simon with his eyes shining as if he was looking at his hero. And seeing that look, Simon laughed and said, "Young boy. I may be becoming old. But this bones still had strength to beat this flies to the ground."

"You- bastard!" The man groaned, who seemed to have fractured both his legs as he couldn’t stand up and he cursed, "Do you think it’s over?"

To which Simon shook his head and said, "No. I know it isn’t. But the rest of the things will be handled by the cops." He said while signalling his eyes towards the cars of the cops that were coming towards their direction. And seeing that, the other’s eyes widened.
