Chapter 154: BARBEQUE NIGHT

After the two of them finished them heart felt bonding time, Gavi still had to do his exercise after that. Well, he had his lips curved down at first while he was ’being dragged’ downstairs. But then as usual, he started enjoying exercising. One thing about exercising with Dante was that, he did not allow gap easily ever since Gavi started that with him. Dante after all wanted his son to have and learn disciple and a habit of keeping himself fit, while he enjoyed himself.

And it did not hurt to start it from a young age, with fun.

Later, as the evening deepened and it was almost time for dinner, Dove came out of her study. She was doing some work and also had to attend a couple international conferences face time. So, she was locked in her study for a few hours since the evening.

Coming to the living room, a little puzzled as she found no one, she looked around with a small frown. "That’s weird, where has everyone gone? Why don’t I see anyone around?" Dove murmured to herself.

Just when she thought to find someone to ask, Dove saw Butler Joe enter the house from outside. Seeing him, she at once took a few steps towards him and asked, "Uncle Joe, where are everyone? I don’t see anyone in the house. Normally, everyone would be here downstairs as it is almost dinner time. Even grandpa is not in his room. I don’t even see Aunt Freya around."

Butler Joe smiled at Dove gently and said, "Young Miss, everyone is in the garden."

Hearing him, Dove blinked in surprise and asked, "In the garden? Everyone? What are they doing in the garden at this time?" She saw the middle aged man smile again, and say, "Why don’t you go and see by yourself, Young Miss? Anyway, I was coming to call you too."

Hearing him say that, Dove turned curious too. And she went towards the garden wanting to see what were everyone doing there at this time.

While she was about to step in the garden, she heard the sound of them laughing and talking loudly. It seemed like a very lively atmosphere. And what was more was that, she smelled a very delicious aroma coming from the garden. When she stepped in the garden, everyone noticed her, and it was her grandpa who said jovially, "Here! Dove is here too! Dove, did you finish your work? You have come in a very right time." Dove as if infected by the harmonious atmosphere there, smiled faintly and looked around. The garden was decorated with lights and candles. And chairs and tables were set up. The ambience felt very simple and warming.

Just then she heard here son say loudly, "Momma, we are having barbeque today!" She turned around to see her son, her eyebrows raised in surprise. And she found him standing beside Dante behind the barbeque grill, wearing a small apron and gloves, holding a plate of a few things. While, Dante was cooking, he seemed like he was playing the role of his assistant.

Freya and Senior Sterling were sitting at a little distance from them, and looking at what they were doing and were talking a joking with each other. It was then Freya who said, "At evening today, Gavi came up to us and said that he and Dante wants to organise a barbeque night today. And here we all are. And these today boys, they wouldn’t let anyone help them with the cooking and want to do everything by themselves."

And as Freya said that, Gavi was the one who chimed in, "Grandma, the house helps sisters are here to help us if we need something. Moreover, Uncle Dante is already cooking them so deliciously, see! You don’t have to help with anything. You both are old now, you can sit and rest and wait for the food to get ready~"

And before he could finish, Freya gasped and stood up from her chair and took a few steps in front and said, "Did you just call me old on my face?" Gavi blinked his eyes innocently a couple of times, before he squinted them mischievously and said, "Aren’t you my grandma? And Grandmas are always old. But don’t worry, grandma, I will not tell anyone that your back has already started aching and that you cannot even stand straight."

Freya gasped again! After all, firstly it did not feel nice to be called old on face for a woman, and then on top of that, this little boy had the audacity to even tease her! "You little trouble maker! Let me not get my hands on you!" And as she came near to him, Gavi instantly put the plate that he was holding down on the table. And he turned around shook his little butt and did a little dance, before fleeing around.

This made everyone chuckle and laugh, while Freya put her hands on her hips and looked at the little boy running around the garden as he would stop at a little interval and do that dance showing her and then run again."

Dove too giggled, before she looked at Dante, who was wearing a sleeveless tee, and an apron over it, while he was cooking behind the barbeque grill. And for some reason, Dove felt rooted on the fround, while her heart did a leap. Since when did men start to look this attractive while cooking? Was it like this the whole time and she never knew? Dove wondered.

But the next second, on realising what her thoughts were, she frowned and shook her head. What the heck? Since when did she start to think like Lisa! It was Lisa who had a hobby to eye every other good looking guy, and go around talking to her about how hot some men were? Well, while she never really understood that all, she would just listen to her blabber.

But times like this, maybe Dove did understand what Lisa would mean. Or maybe, times when she looked at Dante?
