As the food were served, and the family was just about to start enjoying the food. Well, Gavi had already started digging in his plate, already taking a big bite of his cake, chewing happily, with his cheeks flushed with happiness.

After taking a bite, he stuck out his little tongue, saying, "Yummy!"

The family was just about to start when Butler Joe came up to Senior Sterling and said something in his ears with a serious expression, making him frown too.

Dove, looking at the interaction, asked with some concern, "What happen, Grandpa? Is something wrong?"

Senior Sterling looked at Dove, his expression stern than before and said, "The Davis Family has arrived."

And hearing the name of the Davis’ Family, everyone of their faces went down into darkness knowing very well why they were here, while Freya looked at them with curiousness, not having an idea.

"Why are they here all of a sudden? They did not inform us priorly." She said with a confused frown. After all, it was only right to inform the people whose house you are visiting a little prior, if not being a very close relative or sudden emergency situations.

"Is something wrong?" She murmured.

Senior Sterling turned around to look at Butler Joe, and before he could speak, it seems like Butler Joe had something more to say and he said, "Senior Master, and Sir Philip even highlighted that if they are not allowed to meet you or Young Miss Dove, then they are going to stay there at the road alone!

And they wouldn’t really care what the neighbourhood would think about the Sterling family."

Hearing that, Dove rolled her eyes and scoffed, "As if the neighbours have a whole lot of time to care." After all, the nearest neighbour that lived to them were about a walking distance of ten minutes. More over, who cared?

Senior Sterling turned to look at Butler Joe, and said, "Invite them in."

Dove rolled her eyes, and she sneered, "Apparently, they got so desperate that they came home early in the morning tagging the whole family along."

She said, while picking up a piece of food with her fork leisurely.

Anyway, truthfully Dove was waitimh for this moment honestly. Now would water and milk be separated! It would be fun to know how the father and son duo would react once they know why this all happened. Also, the perfect time to play the cards, she had in hand.

And thinking about that, she turned towards Dante, with a small smirk. Thanks to his idea.

The others looked at Dove, with different expressions. Senior Sterling had a small knowing smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Noah also looked at Dove and Senior Sterling. He blinked his eyes, wondering what was Senior Sterling thinking in his mind. After all, he knew about the Davis case.

His eyes then fell on Dove then, and then he saw her turn towards Dante sharing a smile. One that looked as if they shared some secret! And the way they looked at each other, it burned them to no ends. For that moment, he completly forgot about the Davis family in hand, and his attention and dislike was solely focused on Dante and Dove’s interaction.

His glare was broken when he heard Senior Sterling speak after a little while, "What’s the matter Dove? Did something happen with the Davis’?"

He asked.

And this made Noah raise his eyebrows in intrigue. After all, Senior Sterling already knew. But instead of doing anything like confronting her, he was simply asking her about it, as if he had absolutely no idea about it.

Dove looked at her grandfather, before smiling a little. Now it has come to a point, where it seems she has no other options. The situation has come to the truth. Smiling she said, "Grandpa, I have servered all ties with the Davis’ Enterprises professionally."

And hearing that, Senior Sterling raised his brows and asked, "And why did you do that, Dove?"

And before Dove could answer, a smooth male voice was heard, "And that is what he also want to know, Senior Sterling. What had made CEO Dove take such a decision out of no where, hampering both the companies."

It was Roan who spoke, as they stroded in with his father and mother into the Sterling Mansion.

The Sterling family turned towards the entrance to look at them. And then Senior Sterling stood up to welcome them, followed by the others. Since, Senior Sterling himself stood up.

Dove too stood up, and as she had her back faced towards them, she turned around. And her eyes first met with Roan who spoke, before looking at Philip Davis’ and Cara.

Roan who had spoken in a composed yet with the very recognisable anger in his voice, suddenly went blank as if losing his voice when he saw Dove after she turned around.

This is almost the first time that Roan and seen Dove after four years in person. And he could suddenly feel in his heartbeat ringing in his ears.

Dove had always been very beautiful. And he had a major crush on her from his teenage years.

In fact, when the elders decided to get them engaged, and when they were engaged even, he was the happiest.

Even most of his friends would envy him.

But then the engagement broke off.

Though, in his mind Roan still blamed Dove for that. But he still regretted. And now seeing her back after so many years, he felt something in his heart again, that he did not imagine having when he was coming over.

Roan came out of his trance when he heard his father say, "It is so kind of you, Senior Sterling for letting us in. Or else, we thought that you wouldn’t even let us in at all."

Senior Sterling looked at them with a formal smile and said, "Why would you say that, Philip? Davis family has been a long family friend. Why would we not invite you in, when you are already at our doors.

We even bring the dogs in who come at our doors and feed them. You are but our family friends."
