Chapter 109: GOING TO DEAL WITH THAT WOMAN

Dove nodded her head understanding who he is. But now the next question arises, why is he here! She did not say anything and just looked at him.

Dante then turned to look at Gavi and said in a gentle tone, "Gavriel, can you please wait for in the car for a little while. Till then I and your mom have to have a quick meeting with someone. Why don’t you eat your food till then? And this uncle will be here to look over you."

Gavi blinked his eyes, and then he lowered his head to look at the takeover that they had packed and then looking back at Dante, he smiled and nodded his head, "Will it take a lot of time?"

And Dante shook his head and said, "No! We will be quick."

"Okay, then!" And Gavi happily went inside the car, and then said, "Then I am starting to eat."

"Sure." Dante laughed a little before he closed the car’s door. And then looking over to his man, he told him something and the man nodded.

Dante then finally turned around towards Dove and asked, "So, let’s go?"

And Dove there, she was standing frozen, looking at Dante in disbelief. She opend her mouth and then closed.

Finally, getting back to her senses, she shook her head a little and asked, "W- where?" Where was Dante talking about to go?

And at that, Dante smirked before he said, "Miss Dove, don’t tell me that you were just planning to go away quitely after what you heard inside there."

"..." And for that moment, Dove was rendered speechless and she opened her mouth and closed. Well, he was right. In fact, she might be letting go a lot of things with the people she had a beef with in the past.

But that did not mean in the least that they would still target her now, and she would just keep quiet. Specially, if it involved anything near even close to her son.

Dove would maybe have confronted Mrs Davis there itself, but she didn’t. After all, Gavi was there with her. And she did not want Gavi to listen any of those.

And that was why, she had packed the food and decided to leave.

But that did not mean that she would just go. She had initially planned that she would ask Dante to be with Gavi for a moment, taking care of him, while she went back inside to confront that woman.

But before she could even lift a finger to do that. Here was Dante, already made all preparation for it. And she hasn’t even told him anything yet!

"But how did you know-" Dove said. Her voice coming out as audible whisper. And Dante smirked before winking his eyes and he shrugged, "Well, I just know. Because I would do the same. And being around you, and knowing you all this while, I can very well tell that you are not the one to easily let it go."

Dante then looked at her and continued, "Also, now you might have your question that how did I know about that women and all. Then let me tell you, Miss Dove, I had done my homework quite well, before I joined as your bodyguard, to know what I am signing into.

And though, I don’t know the whole story about it, even being the third person i can tell that, that woman is not a bright star. Nor the story she said was authentic."

And hearing him say that, the shock, slowly subsided from Dove’s face, before a smile appeared. And she rocked her head a little and said, "Wow Mr Lancaster, you are quite smart."

Dante smirked and before she could say some more, he urged her, "Now come on, let’s go. Or else Gavi will be waiting for late."

Dove chuckled before they both walked inside back.

Meanwhile, Gavi put a spoonful of pasta in his mouth, as he looked at his mom and Uncle Dante talking to each other, before they went away. He chewed his food and then gulping the food, he said, "They must have gone to deal with that evil old aunty." And he nodded his head.

Though, they might have thought that Gavi had not paid attention, he heard what Cara was speaking. And he even understood that she was speaking bad about his mother, given how the other ladies were giving looks to his mom.

Though he did not understand the full context, he understood that it was because he did not have his father with them. And he huffed.

"That man better be coming back soon in our lives. My mom is getting bullied for no reason for him. Or else, I am not going to let him in our family, and will find a good husband for my momma." Gavi huffed before he stuffed his mouth with another spoon full.

Back inside, the group of ladies giggled and laughed. When they saw Dove and the man leaving after telling the waiter to pack the food, they knew that whatever Cara was saying was probably true. Or why would she leave just like that.

And after she left, the group made fun of Dove, before their food arrived. And as they had just moved from the topic while having their food, when one of them stopped eating, as her eyes got focused on two people re entering the restuarant.

And she said clearing her throat, "Cara, they... Came back."

Cara Davis, who was giggling at something another lady beside her said, she stopped and raised her head to the first woman, and said, "Who?"

Following her gaze, when she was about to turn her head back, she felt a presence behind her followed by someone putting her hands on the support of her chair. "Hii, Aunty Cara. It’s me. Dove Sterling."

And Cara visibly froze. Why had she come back!
