Chapter 104: I AM ENJOYING IT

Finally, Dove closed the file, handing it back to Noah and said, "The report was good, but I think of you add those changes, then it would be better. Also, the formulation would perhaps need a little more change, according to the reviews and testings.."

Noah looked at her and carefully listened to what she had to say. After she was done, he smiled looking at her.

And when Dove raised her head to notice, she blinked before blurting out, "Yes?" What? It was indeed somewhat very odd to be stared like that by someone who is smiling.

Noah shook his head a little and chuckled and said, "Nothing much, I was just wondering that how experienced you have got in these four years. It is really commendable."

Dove too blinked her eyes, on being praised by him and she chuckled lightly. Her smile on really reaching her eyes, as she remembered the last four years of her life.

And she replied, "Sometimes the situation you are in helps. " And she did not elaborate anything.

She was in reality taking about how she had in those years pushed to her limits to prove her self, her capabilities and make herself the best.

But her words were perceived by Dante and Noah, who heard her in a little different sense.

Noah, for instance thought that she might be saying that because she remembered so much pain and struggle. Well, it was right up to a certain point, but not up to what Dove was feeling.

And on the other side, Dante, he felt guilty hearing that. If only he could do it earlier, and be beside her earlier at that time. Then maybe, Dove would have it more easier.

Dante would maybe continue feeling this regret all his life, that though he was there for her in the shadows all this time, yet he wasn’t there physically beside her.

But that wasn’t what Dove was thinking. If fact, though the times were challenging for her, she was in fact thankful, because that shaped her in what she was today.

And as the three were immersed in their own thoughts, there was a knock on the door again. And as it was already open, Grace walked in, and said, "Ma’am, it is time for the meeting."

And that brought all of them back to their senses and Dove looked at Grace and nodded her head. "Let’s go." And she walked out of the office, with Grace following her. And just when Noah was about to follow her, Dante all of a sudden out of somewhere squeezed himself in, in front of him, following Dove closely.

Noah furrowed his eyes, but well, he did not have time to think about it too much.

The meeting continued for quite some time, before it was adjourned. Dove was the first one to walk out of the meeting room. And she met Dante waiting for her outside the room. Today’s meeting went on for longer than usual. It took almost more than an hour and a half.

She looked at Dante with an apologetic face and said, "Sometimes, I really feel bad that you have to keep waiting for me like this outside."

Dante smirked, as he looked at Dove, his gaze oh so charming and he said, "That’s my job, Miss Dove." And Dove at once shook her head and denied, "No, it’s not. It is not your job to be doing what you doing.

You are not the one who needs to be waiting outside someone. In fact, you are the type for whom everyone waits in a queue. That’s what you are made for."

She said so sincerely, before turning to look at him, and she sighed. "If not for Grandpa, then you would not have been needing to do it."

Dante smiled a little, looking at her, before shaking his head. "Miss Dove, you are thinking a lot more than necessary. In fact, let me tell you," he whispered, as he closed his distance between her a little and said, "I am really enjoying it."

"Huh?" Dove blinked her eyes and then heard him say, "Hm, in all honesty, it is a good thing to be taking a break from the full time schedule of being a CEO. It was too hectic. So it is a good thing that I get a little break, and all this while, Calix can work a little more."

Hearing him, Dove chuckled and she heard him say again, "Also, I really enjoy being around you and Gavi. That little boy makes me really. And it is a different experience to have a Boss, when you are the one who were the Boss all these years."

And hearing him say that, Dove raised an eyebrow and chuckled before saying, "Oh, is that it?" She giggled a little and said, "Then, Mr Lancaster, how about now I finally act like a real Boss to you?" She said teasingly, only to see Dante grin and he laughed, "Ah, isn’t that what I have been insisting you to do all these while, Miss Sterling?"

Dante then again said, "But let me tell you a secret, Miss Sterling," and Dove blinked her eyes, curiously leaning towards him a little with a nod and he said, "Maybe, you will get some complaint about me from other of your employees."

"Uh? And why is that?" Dove asked curiously. And Dante replied with a grin, "Because for the last one and half hour, while the meeting was going on, i wasn’t standing outside the room like a good bodyguard should do. In stead, i sat outside on the couch comfortablely, then went to the canteen to get some snacks once, and also went to the washroom once."

Dove blinked her eyes twice, before she laughed. And then in a good mood said while nodding her head, "It’s alright, Mr Lancaster. I will be a little more lenient towards you."

And Dante grinned and said, "If that’s so, then I will be a little more helpful to you."
