Chapter 100: IT’S SOMETHING BETWEEN US MEN

Gavi looked at his momma a little blankly as his eyes turned teary. His momma will be away from him for hours? How was it possible!

Dove had never left her baby alone for hours and had gone anywhere ever before. When Gavi was just born, she had talked to her University and changed her mode of studies, with the reason of her handling the company.

But even when she had to go to the university to maybe attend some important lectures or examination, ehe would leave her little son with Lisa.

But then ever since Gavi started having senses and intelligence, she would always take him with her wherever she went. He was just a little baby after all.

And now, on thinking about it, Gavi looked at her with teary eyes.

The other three adults who were looking at Gavi with a smile windened their eyes in shock, particularly Dante and Dove, when they saw him looking at their way teary eyed.

Dove at once sat in front of her son, matching his height and cupped her face asking, "What happened baby? Why are you so sad?"

Gavi’s lips quivered as he looked at his mother, and said in a heavy tone, "Momma, you are leaving me here?"

Dove felt like her heart was being pinched and she rubbed her son’s face. And then said, "It’s just a matter of a few hours, baby? Then you are going to come back to me, isn’t it?"

"B- but..." Gavi said, but not sure what he should say. And the. He saw his mother smile at him and pat his face, "My Gavi is a big boy, isn’t it? What is there to be scared of now? See, there are other children too, they are not scared."

Gavi blinked his eyes, as he listened to his mother. And then he blinked his eyes, as he heard her last line. He turned to look at other kids of his age, who were looking at their direction curiously, and then turned back to look at his mom.

His little mind understood that his momma was telling that those kids were better than him, since they weren’t crying like him. Does his momma think that these kids are better?

And at this he felt even more disheartened.

But Dove wasn’t aware of what was going on in her little son’s mind. She leaned closer, before kissing his cheeks and said that she loved him.

And Gavi nodded his little head. Then he saw Dante sitting in front of him, and he patted his shoulder, and came closer to him, and said in a whispery tone, so that only the two of them are able to hear him, and he said, "Champ, are you scared?" .

Gavi looked at Dante, his lips curving down and he shook his head. And Dante smiled and said, "That’s my brave boy. No need to be scared. And your mom doesn’t mean that these kids are better than you. All she means is, if these kids can then Gavi can do it better. So don’t be upset, hm?" And hearing Dante say that, Gavi looked at him in shock.

How did Uncle Dante know that he was upset for that?

And then he blinked his eyes, his mood better after hearing that. And Dante then said, "Make a good impression on the first day of your school, hm? Let everyone think that you are the coolest guy along them all. Make sure all the pretty little girls think you are the best " And saying that, he winked his eye at Gavi before standing up, and then he says, "Have a very good day. And we will be back to get you, once your school ends, alright."

Gavi looked at Dante with big eyes before a big smile appeared on his face and he nodded his head. "Bye- bye~" he waved his hands at them, as they left, and then Gavi held the home room teacher’s hand and entered the class.

As they left, Dove turned back to look at her son, who had just entered the classroom, and then she turned up to look at Dante who was walking one step behind her.

"You don’t have to worry much, Miss Dove. I have already appointed one of my men to be around here, to look after Gavi, in our absence."

Dove’s eyebrows raised a little. And though she felt that there was no much need for that. After all, having a bodyguard was already a lot, and then a little bit having one especially for him?

But she didn’t say anything. After all, it was always good to have protection for her son.

She thanked him and then after a moment asked, "What did you tell him, Mr Lancaster? Gavi suddenly looks in a good mood?"

Dante looked at Dove, before he looked forward, as they continued walking and said, "That is something between us men."

Dove looked at Dante in surprise, as her eyebrows rose, before she nodded her head and says, "Ohh... Is it? Alright then." And then she pursed her lips with a smile.

Dante too looked at Dove from the corner of his eyes, before he too chuckled lightly.

Meanwhile, back in the classroom,

"Everyone, meet your new classmate, Gavriel Sterling. Say hii, everyone." The homeroom teacher introduced Gavi to everyone.

Every body stood up, before waving their hands at him and said, "Hello, Gavriel."

Gavi felt a little awkward not knowing what to do, and not having experienced this kind of experience before. He cleared his throat before waving his hand back at them and said, "Hello."

The home room teacher smiled at them and said, "So, everyone should be good to Gavriel and be friends with him, alright." And when the kids nodded, she told Gavi, ", Gavriel, go and sit on that desk."

And Gavi nodded and went to sit on the desk that was just appointed to him by the teacher. When he settled down, the teacher said, "Now we shall start the classes, yes?"
