Mob Yandere -
Chapter 205-2 Surely, Just Like A Certain Mask, No Matter How Many Times You Repeat It, You Won't Die, Will You
It was a nightmare. A nightmare that refused to end.
How many times had it come full circle? A boundless, endless hell with no exit.
I've torn open my stomach. I've slit my own throat. I've broken my neck and thrown myself into oblivion. And yet, each time, it begins again. Always back to the start. Always repeating the same mistakes and arriving too late. Watching sacrifice after sacrifice pile up—forming a mountain of corpses made from those I tried to protect.
But there's no escape. No surrender. No compromise. No shortcuts.
I started this. I involved others. So I must keep going. But no matter how much I struggle, things only get worse. Disputes become arguments, arguments become tragedies.
It became pure chaos. One girl attacked by all. A daughter betraying her mother. A mother betraying her daughter. A sister stabbing her beloved older sibling. A younger sibling strung up by her own blood. They screamed. They cursed. They cried and clung to each other, only to end in slaughter—tearing the pieces apart and turning them into rituals.
When they could bear no more, they broke down. Desperate, they turned on each other, begging for help and escape, until they were indistinguishable from one another. The cycle would reset, their memories blurred, and they would begin again—captives of the same ritual that continued to fail.
They tried to repent. They apologized. They helped each other. They held on together, hoping to endure. But when even one of them shattered again, they fell into despair once more—comforting each other recklessly, flowing into the next nightmare.
I tried to calm the madness. I tried to bring peace. I died for them. I was begged to return. I returned and failed again. I rejected their desperate plans. I restarted again and again, but each time I erred. I comforted the wounded. I died again.
I tried. And I failed. I was struck down. I took risks. I was put in danger. I killed. I was killed. I ended my own life. And still—I repeat. Over and over. Mistakes. Failures.
Eventually, everyone except me stopped explaining. They began moving as one, following a single path toward a single goal. They believed in a perfect solution, even if it meant stepping on each other.
Resistance. Always resistance. Moving to the next cycle. Each time, they tightened control. Every path was sealed. Those who spoke out were silenced. Hierarchy became absolute. Punishment became routine. Gratitude became obsolete. Mercy was forgotten.
An iron system rose. Stronger than monarchy. More ruthless than war. Innocence was rewritten into prejudice. In the end, even that ritual collapsed.
How many more times must I fail?
Sometimes it's betrayal. Sometimes it's my own fault. Even when things begin to go right, something breaks. The spiral continues. A cycle of tragedy, farce, and disaster.
But no loop is truly infinite.
Everything that begins must end. The problem is... the ending never lands where I wish it to. They've accepted their fate. But maybe—just maybe—it never had to be this way.
So tell me, someone. Please.
How do I escape this system?
What am I supposed to do...?
---
"What are you planning to teach, exactly?"
"Huh...?"
It felt like I'd been asleep for ages, yet also for just a moment.
My vision was hazy. My thoughts felt slow and fuzzy. A faint, sweet scent reached my nose. I became aware of the soft texture beneath my face—some kind of smooth fabric pressed against my cheek.
The cloth was so fine it was nearly transparent, now soaked with saliva. The marks had spread across the Nanban-style nightwear, spoiling its neatness. The scent wasn't pleasant. I grimaced.
Lifting my eyes, I saw a hand above me. My gaze traced the arm upward until I met her eyes.
"You should've woken me. I've made a mess of things."
"You looked so peaceful. I couldn't bring myself to disturb you."
Her voice chimed like a bell, light and teasing. I felt a twinge of irritation. She'd overstepped her place, and I decided to return the favor with a small act of mischief.
"Kyaa♪ Oh... what are you going to do with me?"
"You think I'm cute, right? Then take care of me for a bit."
I leaned in again, burying my face against her nightwear, still warm and faintly damp. Beneath the fabric, the gentle softness welcomed me.
"Well... if you insist, I suppose I can."
She pretended to frown, but her lips curved into a smile. Her arms encircled my neck, pulling me closer. I pressed into her embrace, feeling her warmth seep through me. She giggled softly, murmuring comforting words, and everything began to blur again.
"Mmm... maybe I should nap a little longer."
"That's a good idea. I'll stay by your side."
I nodded, giving in to the drowsiness. As the golden strands of her hair swayed gently, the head maid smiled and caressed my head.
Without resistance, I let myself fall into the thick warmth of the blankets. I surrendered to her, just like always. That was my role. That was what it meant to be the one they called 'Boss.'
"Now, go ahead... let yourself rest. Let me take care of you..."
Her voice was sweet, almost hypnotic. The nightmare I had been trapped in seemed far away now—like something I could simply forget.
And as her voice lulled me into the quiet, my memories began to fade...
---
"...My head hurts."
"Hehe. That's no surprise. You've been asleep for quite a while."
"Then tell me..."
"Mari looked quite lovely too, you know."
"...Is that so?"
The second awakening came late—past noon and creeping toward evening. I had clearly overslept. What should've been rest ended up stabbing me in the head like a dull blade. My skull throbbed so badly that getting up felt impossible. I stayed in bed, still buried under the futon, resting my head on someone's lap. It was clear now: trying to take the lazy route could totally backfire.
"The doctor said it's because your blood vessels expanded. Here's your medicine. This should help."
"Mmm..."
I accepted the pill from her and asked for a water bottle. She, with soft honey-colored hair, raised it to help. I leaned up slightly, placed my lips to the spout, and took a drink.
Gulp... gulp...
After swallowing, I adjusted my position and looked up. Her pale pink lips came closer.
"Mmm."
"Nom... mmm...♪"
We did it the usual way—mouth-to-mouth. She gently leaned over, pressing close. The water I'd taken in was passed between us. Calmly, I let her push the pill deeper as I swallowed. Even after I finished, her lips lingered against mine.
"Mmm... chu... mmm... phew. Hehe. You took your medicine properly this time. Good job, good job♪"
It felt like it lasted forever, like I might run out of breath. When we finally parted, a soft thread clung between us. Flushed and breathing heavily, I looked at her and spoke.
"I could've done it myself, you know."
"You shouldn't steal someone's job like that! It throws off the balance. Just because you can doesn't mean you should!"
"A job, huh..."
Proudly puffing up, she looked pleased with herself. I repeated her words under my breath while idly playing with her hair, letting my fingers curl around the golden strands.
"Hehe. That tickles... Do you like touching hair?"
"I think it feels nice. Do you mind?"
"Of course not! If I hated it, I wouldn't wrap it around you, Master!"
The arms that had been around my neck slid down, playfully brushing across my stomach. It was payback for teasing her. I twitched a little and lifted my hips without meaning to. She only smirked in response—mischievous and quiet, a true troublemaker.
"Is there a maid being naughty with her Master?"
"There's one right here. Want to scold her? Perfect timing too—there's a whole group of peeking troublemakers behind the door."
We both glanced toward the slightly open sliding door. Movement. Rustling. Whispers that weren't exactly quiet. The presence behind it was impossible to miss.
"Come on, come on. Don't just peek. Come say hello. It's rude to Master, you know?"
A clatter followed. Then, a small head peeked in. I recognized her immediately. That Yin Energy, that face—
"...Shii, right?"
"...! Yes! I'm Shii!!"
When I guessed her name, the flat expression she usually wore transformed instantly. Her smile bloomed like a flower, and for a moment, I couldn't tell what part of my words made her so happy. She glanced at the head maid for reassurance. The head maid smiled, and Shii slowly stepped forward.
She wore a Nanban-style nightgown, similar to the head maid's, though hers had a unique design. The fabric shimmered faintly blue in the evening light. Silver threads near the chest caught the glow just right, drawing attention to the gentle curve there. When she noticed my gaze, she smiled brightly.
"Now, now, girls. You didn't come all this way just to spy in your sleepwear, did you?" the head maid said.
One by one, the rest revealed themselves. The first was a girl who looked a bit like Shii—more energetic, though. She wore a matching nightgown in a different color. Then came Yuu, Shaan, Kanade, Shizuku, and others—ten in total, all young girls, each wearing Nanban-style outfits tailored to their personality.
Their nightgowns varied: different colors, stitching, patterns, even cuts that revealed a bit more skin—likely a design choice to help with the summer heat.
"Ehehe~"
"Look, Danna-sama!"
"How do I look? Grown-up now?"
"Fluffy~♪"
They stood in a row, almost like models showing off. Some were shy, others proud, some full of energy, others bashful—but every face glowed with excitement. No sadness, no fear. Just joy. The scene sparkled not just from the fine outfits, but from the atmosphere itself. A colorful, vibrant moment.
Before us, a low table was piled with a feast, dishes beautifully arranged and still steaming.
"..."
"...Master?"
"..."
"...Come on, Master!"
The head maid nudged me hard, snapping me out of my daze. She frowned.
"Say something. They all worked so hard to prepare this for you."
"Ah... right. Of course."
I turned back to the girls, their eyes shining with anticipation. Slowly, I looked over each of them—from right to left, and back again.
"They're adorable. And the outfits... they suit you all perfectly."
"Aren't they grown-up too?" someone teased.
Fuumi gave me a sharp look. I realized my mistake too late—calling them "adorable" could come off as childish. No kid likes being called a kid.
"That was poorly said. Sorry. But I meant it. You can be cute, beautiful, and mature all at once."
Even then, Fuumi didn't look satisfied. Her eyes flicked toward the head maid, clearly irritated. With a soft sigh, the honey-haired girl who'd stayed close to me all this time gently pulled away. Her warmth faded, replaced by a smaller presence that climbed into my lap.
It was Shii—quietly wrapping her arms around me, face to face.
"Ah! Ah! Ahhh!? You took it! So sneaky!! You totally took it!!"
"Danna-sama, if you're going to make excuses, prove it with your actions!"
"Don't ignore me!!"
Fuumi shouted like she was on the verge of tears. Shii countered with a bold demand, her voice confident and poetic. Fuumi fired back more frustrated yells, but Shii ignored her, stepping even closer.
She leaned in, her light nightwear brushing against me. The fabric was thin, barely hiding the outline of her small frame. It was warm—soft in a way that felt more like a child's embrace than anything else.
"Me too! Me too!!"
Almost crying now, Fuumi pushed Shii aside and climbed onto my lap. Before I could react, Yuu and Shaan joined in from the sides, clinging to me like baby birds begging for attention. Arms tugged at me from every direction, their small hands grabbing and pulling. I was being swarmed by a flurry of limbs and voices.
Was this... the true form of a "perfect lady"?
"Alright, one more time... I'll be your lap pillow♪"
Right when I lost balance and flopped back, the head maid's lap caught me like it had been waiting for this exact moment. She looked down at me with a calm smile that left me at a loss for words.
Ever since I woke up with no memories and met her for the first time, I'd always felt like I was one step behind her. Like she knew what I would do before I did. Maybe it wasn't foresight—maybe we were just that close.
"Everyone, it's okay to love Master, but don't cause too much trouble, alright?"
"Fuunyu!"
"Unyu!"
The twins gave vague little answers as they snuggled against me. Having fallen along with me, they now pressed their cheeks into my stomach, their flushed faces staring up at me. Their breaths were quick, like they'd been playing too hard and run out of steam.
"Hehe. Honestly... what am I going to do with you two?"
The head maid gave a soft, resigned smile. She continued on like an older sister watching over a rowdy group of younger siblings.
"Let's see... Shii-san from the poetry division, and Fuumi-san from literature. The rest of the girls will have to wait their turn, okay? And Master... if you keep spoiling them like this, you'll never catch a break. But I suppose that's just how big your heart is."
"Muu..."
I couldn't find anything to say. The twins looked up at me with gentle, innocent eyes. Still lying on either side of me, they rubbed their soft cheeks against mine, like cats marking their favorite spot.
"Hehe... Danna-sama..."
"Danna-sama, please treat me like an adult again..."
With dreamy, peaceful expressions, they nuzzled close, their breath faint against my skin. Behind them, the other girls waited quietly, eyes shining with anticipation.
If I kept dragging it out, things might get out of hand again. It was probably best to handle things quickly and gently.
"You girls are seriously hopeless..."
I patted the nearest head with a light hand. Shii giggled and leaned in, while Fuumi gave a tiny nibble with her baby teeth. Four small hands danced around mine, their fingers intertwining with mine like a game. They pressed their noses up to me, faces full of joy.
I stopped just short of what they clearly wanted next. They looked up at me, eyes shimmering, holding still like puppies waiting for a treat.
"..."
"Master."
"Mmm. Let's do it."
I nodded gently. They straightened up, trying their best to act mature. The girls in the background watched with quiet smiles, and even the head maid seemed amused.
This little "game" was part of their daily routine. A small kindness, a simple reward... their form of gratitude.
"..."
After a while, I wrapped my arms around them and gently held the back of their heads. Last time they'd asked me to pamper them more, so I followed through with quiet affection. It didn't take long for them to melt into it.
Still, I had to stop at some point. Too much attention, and the others would get jealous.
"Alright, next."
"Pwa, ah...!?"
"Auu... yaa..."
I gently pulled the twins away and looked up to find the next pair already waiting, crawling forward like kittens. Their eyes sparkled with hope.
No problem. I still had the energy for a few more rounds.
Same as before. Calm. Steady. Gentle. I gave them their turn, one by one.
That was my duty... as their Master.
