MMORPG: War God, You are Invincible Again -
Chapter 80 - 80 78 Confrontation
80: Chapter 78: Confrontation 80: Chapter 78: Confrontation “Damn it!
This is infuriating!” Bodo was naturally listening through the Crystal Ball to Lu Hong’s declaration, and immediately became enraged beyond measure.
“You’d better keep your comments to a minimum; I believe the lord is currently watching us through the Crystal Ball,” the Golden Guard agreed with Lu Hong’s bold statement.
For someone who possesses Divine Blood and has defeated a Demon Lord, flipping the Blood Lord doesn’t seem to be a difficult task.
“What’s there to be afraid of, as if he would show mercy to my men if I didn’t say anything?”
“Well…
then it’s up to you,” the Golden Guard thought about it and agreed with Lu Hong.
“Since you have the strength to defeat the Demon Lord, then the four of us must take this seriously,” another Golden Guard spoke, and a wave of Fighting Spirit instantly ignited the passion in the four of them.
“Excellent!
Although the four of us had also reached the Third Transition Peak in our lives, we never had the chance to confront a great Abyssal Lord head-on,” one of the guards remarked.
“Now, this wish is indirectly fulfilled.”
“Good, the four of you are my predecessors of the warrior profession.
I will certainly give it my all this time and let you all fight to your heart’s content,” said Lu Hong, who picked up his greatsword and backed away a few steps, distancing himself from the four of them.
“Since you are ready, then we four will have to battle seriously with you, despite the embarrassment of fighting a junior.
But be careful, our level might be suppressed to the First Transition, but we can still use all skills within the Third Transition,” the Golden Guard kindly reminded Lu Hong in the end.
“Thank you all for informing me; I will be careful,” Lu Hong said, watching the four draw their weapons.
He quickly adjusted his posture to his best form, ready to meet the attack from the four.
The leading Golden Guard had already launched an attack, his dual swords whipping up a torrent of blood as he chopped down at Lu Hong, “Fury Blood Strike!”
“No way, he’s using his big move right from the start?!” Lu Hong quickly dodged, performing the skilled move “Jump Slash.”
However, the range of the Fury Blood Strike was very broad.
Originating from the Golden Guard, the attack spread out in a fan shape.
As a result, by the time it reached Lu Hong, it had almost sealed off any path for him to dodge to the sides.
Since he couldn’t dodge it, Lu Hong spurred his Fighting Spirit to meet the attack head-on.
Before the Fury Blood Strike could finish, another Golden Guard burst through the curtain of blood, wielding two greatswords and fiercely slashing towards Lu Hong.
Lu Hong knew the terrifying power of the greatswords’ combo attacks well.
However, being his former main profession, he was also very familiar with them.
With his understanding of the Bloodthirst combo, he successfully suppressed the opponent’s ferocious assault.
“Good, very good!” The Golden Guard specializing in close combat skills watched as Lu Hong perfectly blocked his attack, his face breaking into a smile, and offered another kind piece of advice, “Watch your feet.”
“I’ve been on guard!” Lu Hong retorted, pushing back the close-combat guard with his formidable Fighting Spirit.
At the same time, he also leaped away from his original spot.
A Blood Dragon burst from the ground with a roar.
“Come back!” The Golden Guard who had released the Blood Dragon saw his skill anticipated, called back the Blood Dragon and, brandishing two greatswords, joined the fray.
“Brother, let’s go together,” the last Golden Guard who hadn’t made his move yet said to the one who initiated the attack.
“Don’t rush,” the eldest guard stopped the youngest one: “Let the second and third brothers test his skills first.”
“I thought we agreed to give it our all?” The youngest was puzzled; if they were going all out, all four should be joining the fight.
Seeing his younger brother contradict him, the eldest frowned and disciplined him: “I said to wait a moment, not that we wouldn’t join, just to gauge his abilities first.
Why are you so impulsive?”
“Oh!” The youngest, chided by his elder brother, had no choice but to step back resentfully.
During the brief exchange between the two brothers, Lu Hong had already exchanged hundreds of blows with the two Golden Guards.
The power of their greatswords was truly astonishing; not only were they wide in range, but in their hands, they were extremely flexible.
For Lu Hong, it was almost as if he was fighting against four people at the same time.
As the saying goes, it is hard for one pair of hands to fight against four, and even more so for one sword to fend off four?
“He’s not going to last,” the eldest, observing the battle, saw that Lu Hong was struggling: “But to be able to do this much is already quite remarkable; this man’s speed and strength are very strong.”
“What’s the use of being strong if he is still being suppressed by the second and third brothers?” The youngest spoke dismissively.
“No, that’s not right,” the eldest seemed to have noticed something: “Wrong!
He’s not being suppressed; he’s testing moves!”
“Bad news!
Second and third brothers, pull back quickly!” the eldest, clear-eyed as the outside observer to the brother’s duel, realized Lu Hong’s stratagem and immediately warned his entangled siblings.
“Too late.” Lu Hong laughed.
Every person has certain attack patterns, and as a qualified warrior, figuring out the opponent’s routine was his forte.
“We’ve already successfully suppressed him; why retreat?” The second and third brothers did not heed their elder brother’s directive, continuing to assault fully, attempting to crush Lu Hong head-on.
“Sorry, that’s just your illusion,” said Lu Hong, as he had yet to use his Bloodline Power and his strength that defied common sense.
Having grasped the two Golden Guards’ sword technique habits, Lu Hong’s Fighting Spirit surged, and with a sweeping strike, he forced the two back several steps.
“He has grasped the rhythm of our attacks?!” The second and third brothers realized the intention of their opponent amidst their relentless offensive, as they were suddenly pressed.
“Right, now it’s my turn,” Lu Hong charged forward, his attacks extremely precise after figuring out the two’s style.
With each strike timed perfectly between their coordinated moves, it took no time to completely dismantle their Combined Attack Skill.
“We should join in, big brother,” the youngest said, seeing his second and third brothers in a passive position, unable to restrain himself from speaking to the eldest Golden Guard.
“Let’s do it,” said the eldest Golden Guard, not contradicting this time, and he and the youngest quickly joined the battle.
With the addition of the two, Lu Hong, who had been maintaining an advantage, was suddenly caught off guard, nearly having his vital points struck several times.
Lu Hong felt increasingly pressured as he faced the simultaneous attacks from eight giant swords; it was an angle of assault that was simply impossible to defend against.
After one of the opponent’s giant swords barely grazed his neck, Lu Hong swept away the attack with a horizontal strike.
“The combined attack of the four is indeed formidable,” Lu Hong retreated tens of steps, widening the distance between them.
“To be honest, you’re really strong.
Just a First Transition warrior, but your combat experience has almost surpassed any of us.
If it weren’t for our joint efforts, we would probably be no match for you,” the Gold leader fairly evaluated Lu Hong.
“That was just a pure comparison of sword skills,” Lu Hong took a deep breath and added, “In terms of sword skills, I’m afraid I can’t win against the four of you.”
“Then in terms of Fighting Spirit, you definitely can’t beat us four either.
Although just at First Transition, our Fighting Spirit level is much higher than yours.
Our Bloodline Power alone in terms of pure strength is more than twice that of Fighting Spirit.
You have no advantage to speak of in a clash,” the Gold second in command questioned, “But I really can’t understand, how exactly did you defeat the Abyssal Great Lord?
Although the Demon Lord was also suppressed to the First Transition level, his strength is still immensely powerful.”
“Right, if you have any ultimate techniques, just use them.
Otherwise, it’s impossible for you to get past us,” the Gold leader agreed with the second’s viewpoint, inquiring of Lu Hong.
“I just feel that it’s not freaking cool to use cheats to defeat you guys,” Lu Hong replied with a slight smile, “But looking at the current situation, if I don’t use cheats, I’m afraid I really won’t be able to fight against the four of you combined.”
“As long as it’s your own strength, it doesn’t count as an external force.
Come on, let us four see just what kind of ability you have that allowed you to defeat the Abyssal Great Lord.”
“Fine!
Then I won’t hold back,” Lu Hong firmly gripped his giant sword, and his monstrous power was fully unleashed under his control.
“Huh?” The Gold leader, watching Lu Hong, keenly sensed the slight changes in his opponent.
“Esteemed seniors, be careful,” the moment Lu Hong’s voice fell, he charged like an arrow released from a bow, his speed more than twice as fast as before.
“Not good!” With only a dozen or so meters separating them, Lu Hong’s assault left them no time to react appropriately.
“Defend together!” the Gold leader bellowed, and the four promptly raised their giant swords to form a shield.
With a fierce Jump Slash, Lu Hong sent the Gold guards flying in an instant.
“What terrifying strength,” the four emerged from the shattered walls, their hands violently shaking, barely able to steady their swords.
The Gold second in command, invoking his Bloodline Power to soothe his muscle injuries, spoke solemnly, “Is this how you defeated the Demon Lord?”
Lu Hong contemplated; he hadn’t yet activated Lion’s Descent mode, but he didn’t have the heart to demoralize them further, “Let’s just say it is.”
“If all of our Human Race had your strength, even a counterattack into the Abyss wouldn’t be out of the question,” the Gold leader lamented, “What a pity.”
“Why say so much; let’s go again!” The fourth seemed to be the most impulsive.
Seeing the fourth take action, the other three followed suit.
“Overwhelming!
Bloodline Power, activate!” All four simultaneously used their Skill, enhancing their strength to the maximum.
As eight giant swords descended from the sky, Lu Hong stimulated his Fighting Spirit, launching the War Challenge Skill.
“Break for me!”
Nine blades intertwined, immediately unleashing a tremendous shockwave.
But even as the four pushed their physical abilities to the limit, they were still no match for Lu Hong’s strength.
The War Challenge Skill, with only a slight delay, broke through the opposition’s suppression, and the dragon of Fighting Spirit soared into the sky.
The four Gold guards were sent flying, tumbling to the ground.
Not only had they failed to gain an advantage in strength, but their Fighting Spirit was completely overwhelmed by Lu Hong.
It could be said that they were utterly defeated in every aspect!
“This is the strength capable of defeating a Demon Lord,” the Gold guards murmured, “We thought that at the Third Transition Peak we had almost reached the pinnacle of strength, but now it seems we are nothing.”
The four faces showed bitterness; to be honest, it was quite a blow.
“Um,” Lu Hong subdued his aura a bit, seeing their dispirited looks and not sure how to comfort them, especially since he hadn’t used his full strength.
“For our final move, please use your strongest Skill, so we can see the limit of the First Transition before we die?” The Gold guards requested of Lu Hong.
Seeing the four determined to face death, Lu Hong nodded, “Alright.”
“Okay, then that’s what we’ve agreed,” the Gold guards raised their weapons high, and four streams of Bloodline Power emerged from them, merging into a massive Crystal Ball.
“Lion’s Descent!” Lu Hong held nothing back, summoning the skill of his Lionheart Bloodline.
A lion’s roar echoed throughout the entire hall, Lu Hong’s eyes turning a true red, his long hair wildly flaunted.
“If you ask for my strongest Skill, that would be Jump Slash,” Lu Hong slightly bent his legs and suddenly leapt into the air, immense Fighting Spirit engulfing his entire body.
“Blood Burst!” Watching Lu Hong dive from the sky, the four shouted in unison.
The condensed Crystal Ball trembled intensely before drifting slowly toward Lu Hong, exploding with a resounding boom.
“Slash!” Lu Hong’s speed unabated, like a meteor, he plunged into the erupting volcano.
