Chapter 1362 - Chapter 1362 Chapter 1362 Advanced Enchantress

Chapter 1362: Chapter 1362: Advanced Enchantress Chapter 1362: Chapter 1362: Advanced Enchantress The moment the Death Knight soared into the sky, the enchantress flashed.

Shadow Step!

The enchantress spiraled upwards with the Death Knight as if they were connected by a silk thread, or as if she was his shadow.

Boom…

An explosion burst forth from where the enchantress originally stood, and not far away stood someone holding a Shield in one hand and a gun-blade much larger than any sniper rifle in the other.

The gun-blade, modified from a long spear, served as both offense and defense. It was designed to combine the large weight and size of both the Spear and Shield, enabling it to withstand impacts and offer exceptional defense.

Its attack methods included thrusting and slashing while also incorporating principles from breath-emitting creatures, similar to the so-called “Dragon Strike Cannon.” The ammunition loaded was much stronger than that of regular firearms or sniper rifles, though it had a shorter range–barely ten yards more than a long spear.

The artillery shell was like a jet of special energy flames, similar to a flamethrower or an impact cannon, capable of dealing massive damage within its range and instantly killing fragile creatures.

Only the survival Hunters or berserk Warriors could switch to or double as users of this weapon. The specialists who exclusively used this weapon were called “Dragon Strikers.”

It was a variation of a profession, known for its integrated offense and defense, and its mighty area-of-effect attacks which could often instantly take down other professions. However, its drawback was apparent–the armor and equipment were excessively heavy.

Moreover, the gun-blade was enormous, weighing more than two or three times as much as a heavy spear. Coupled with the hefty shield, it made movement slow and clunky, with limited dodging skills save for a charge similar to that of a heavy spear and no fast movement skills, which made it easy to kite.

The Death Knight turned the enchantress into a decoy through a slashing attack. Although it was unexpected, the Dragon Striker reacted swiftly and fired his cannon. However, the enchantress was too quick, and the shot missed.

All this might sound slow, but in reality, everything happened incredibly fast. If the enchantress had reacted just a tad slower, she would have been killed instantly–all of them were experts.

In the hands of the enchantress, the daggers resembled venomous snakes, repeatedly drawing splashes of blood.

The two daggers combined with a paralyzing toxin and a severely poisonous toxin turned the Death Knight’s blood from black to green. If it weren’t for the Death Knight already being dead, and the neck being a weakness but not fatal, the Knight would have been decapitated.

Even so, the Death Knight’s health crazily plummeted. As it peaked, the enchantress pressed directly onto the Death Knight’s armor, placing a sticky bomb on it.

Clang…

The enchantress kicked the Death Knight away, performing a nimble backflip in the air. Meanwhile, the Dragon Striker had already lifted his gun-blade, ready to deliver a fatal blow to the enchantress.

The recoil of such a gun-blade was tremendous. Firing a shot would cause a kickback, and the barrel would tilt. Hence, by the time he adjusted it, the enchantress had already moved beyond the attack range of the gun-blade.

However, once the enchantress descended a bit, she would re-enter the shooting range. Unable to gain momentum in mid-air and having used both her mobility skills, even if she had upgraded levels or inscription enhancements, they wouldn’t cool down so quickly.

So, in the eyes of the Dragon Striker, the seemingly fragile enchantress would inevitably be shattered by one shot.

“Damned little girl, you are doomed,” said the Dragon Striker, eyes glowing red, evidently assisted by an optical accessory.

The enchantress’s eyes were as calm as ancient wells. After kicking the Death Knight away, she somersaulted with force, and a grenade had already appeared in her palm, although it was angled in such a way that the Dragon Striker couldn’t see it.

As the enchantress flipped over and was about to land, she triggered the flash bomb she held.

Bang…

Blinding light flickered in the dark cave, and the Dragon Striker, staring at the sky, was suddenly blinded.

Realizing the danger, he immediately raised his Shield and his gun quickly transformed into a Slicing Blade in his hand, ready to meet the enchantress’s attack–his reaction was notably swift.

However, the enchantress did not descend from the sky to attack directly, but after releasing the flash bomb, she landed on the ground silently, like a ghost.

The moment she touched the ground, the enchantress lifted her wrist, and a Hook Claw shot out, latching onto the Dragon Striker’s calf.

The Dragon Striker prepared for an attack, but unexpectedly, the enchantress didn’t engage directly and instead just released the Hook Claw.

Abruptly pulling on the Hook Claw, the enchantress was drawn closer to the Dragon Striker, who was then pulled down.

Despite still being in a blinded state and sliding on the ground, the Dragon Striker kept his Shield in position to protect his vital parts, and the Slicing Blade in his other hand continued to swing, creating shadows of blades that shielded him. It was an incredibly cautious and formidable defense.

“You think you can kill me like this? Not a chance…,” the Dragon Striker said, his voice full of confidence.

The enchantress’s eyes remained as calm as ever. She lowered her posture, and as both slid towards each other due to the pulling force, she suddenly let go of the Hook Lock, and with a tip of her toe, she flipped over, brushing past the light of Dragon Striker’s blade.

As their bodies crossed, the enchantress’s middle fingers, adorned with strange rings, revealed an almost invisible thread.

As they passed each other, the thread caught on the Dragon Striker’s head.

Both slid in opposite directions, and whoosh…

The Dragon Striker’s voice cut off abruptly as his head rolled away from his body, and the enchantress stood upright, a drop of fresh blood falling from the thread between her fingers before the thread retracted into the rings.

A flicker of joy flashed in the enchantress’s eyes, obviously very pleased with the tool. She was extremely satisfied with following Li Yao’s suggestion to take on the secondary profession of Tool Thief because not only had the various tools improved in effectiveness, but she could also use many tools that only a Tool Thief could handle. After adapting over this period, her combat abilities had improved significantly. Previously, other members in the guild stood a chance against her, but in the recent guild grand combat, she hadn’t lost a single match, which spoke volumes about the effectiveness of her tools.

For instance, the two rings in her hand, made from Demon Fire Silkworm Silk–which were finer than a strand of hair but more tenacious than any thread before being made into a tool–could withstand a weight of over three tons. Once crafted into a tool, coupled with the Tool Thief’s enhancements, they could bear a maximum weight of over five tons.

So fine yet so tough, they were sharper than blades, possessing a decapitation effect far superior to any blade.

The Priest who sensed something was amiss and rushed towards the Starfire formation only released a Shield after the Dragon Striker’s head had rolled off, but it was already too late.

At the same time, the Death Knight, who had been kicked into the air by the enchantress, had regained control over his body. He grabbed at the adhesive bomb on his armor, trying to tear it off, but such adhesive bombs aren’t called adhesive if they could be easily removed…
