At that moment, seeing that they couldn’t breach Li Yao and the others’ defenses, the Red Crystal Ants changed their strategy again.

Heaps of ants linked together, forming giant balls over two yards in diameter, rolling and crashing manically into the formation.

The Giant Red Crystal Ant Balls reached the range of flames enveloping the Giant Dragon Queen and Edward.

These giant balls ignited into roaring flames on the outside, but the Ant Balls, now blazing spheres of fire, swiftly approached them.

Even facing Floating Snow, it was just the outer layer of ants that were constrained by the snowflakes; the interior was unaffected and continued to approach rapidly.

Everyone’s faces dramatically changed. If they couldn’t handle this situation, their team’s annihilation was imminent. If even the Steel Monster that was the Spider Tank and Death God could be devoured down to nothing, what chance did they have?

“Use whatever trump cards you have now, or there won’t be another opportunity,” Li Yao quickly summoned the broodmother, but the information it provided him was grim. These ants were blessed by divine beings and controlled by the Ant Queen’s mental control. Even if he could take command of some ants, the number was limited and so was the effect.

Li Yao summoned the Touch of Darkness, which whirled madly about. Countless Red Crystal Ants had their life forces sucked away, but still, multitudes of the ants swarmed over Li Yao, viciously biting and corroding him. Li Yao was in excruciating pain, but fortunately, the life drained by the Touch of Darkness was greater than the damage taken and, coupled with the life-draining effect of the attacks, his health did not decrease. Nevertheless, the agony of feeling as though a million ants were gnawing at his heart was unbearable.

However, the frenzied dance of the Touch of Darkness held them off from at least one side.

A towering flame of orange-red appeared, and Edward’s body was covered by a spectral shadow.

“Secret Art, Flame Burn, Explode.”

Flames shot forth in rapid succession, each Red Crystal Ant engulfed by the inferno burst apart, spewing countless sparks. The ants covered in the embers burned rapidly and then exploded again.

Pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop…

With Edward’s outburst, the massive onslaught of the Ant Balls was finally temporarily contained.

“Earth Flame!”

The Black Dragon Queen did not have an explosive aura, her Magic Wand merely flashed with a red light.

The Void suddenly shattered, an illusory volcanic mouth appeared, and then crashed down, incinerating countless ants into ash in an instant.

On the Hydra’s side, numerous flame-headed hydras blocked its front, and with the additional heads bursting forth, they could hold off the attack. But upon seeing the Black Dragon Queen’s display of power, it roared in frustration, “Damn desert, otherwise how could I let an old woman like you show off?”

The Hydra had always been competing with the Black Dragon Queen, and now that she hadn’t unleashed her full wrath, it was hardly satisfied.

“In the water, you are still no match for me,” the Black Dragon Queen said, full of contempt.

Li Yao quickly asked, “How long can this volcano last?”

“I’ve tapped into the origin power to harness the Earth Vein Power here. Right now, it doesn’t even need the support of my Mana. Judging from my sense of the Earth Vein, the power will continue pouring for at least three more days,” the Black Dragon Queen explained indifferently.

The crowd gasped again, deeply sensing the gap between themselves and the Black Dragon Queen. Even Li Yao felt somewhat relieved; had the Black Dragon Queen not been extremely weakened by a curse and tortured back then, even possessing the Death God’s Contract, he wouldn’t have been able to forge an agreement with her. If she could have used Rule Power at that time, he would have stood no chance.

“Good, turn into your Giant Dragon Form, encircle the team and spray Dragon Breath, protect them for the time being. I must find a way to locate the Ant Queen, otherwise we may never extinguish these ants.”

Edward also heard the regret in Li Yao’s voice. If they could stabilize their formation and slaughter Red Crystal Ants to level up, it would be exhilarating. “Where’s the Ant Queen?” Edward asked, looking bewildered.

“We must find her,” Li Yao had no time to explain in detail.

Li Yao put away the Touch of Darkness and in a flash, appeared between the two horns of the Black Dragon Queen.

He then began channeling his spiritual power into his Divine Eye, the light in Li Yao’s eyes surged, extending for several yards like twin beams of light. More crucially, those on the ground felt a strange sensation when looking into Li Yao’s eyes, as if their every flaw and even the secrets within their hearts could be discerned…
