Chapter 1305 - Chapter 1305 Chapter 1305 Formation Array

Chapter 1305: Chapter 1305: Formation Array Chapter 1305: Chapter 1305: Formation Array Li Yao had been activating his Titan’s Eye continuously, noticing that although these hatching spiders varied in size, they were all purebred Silver Hero Spiders, ranging from level fifty to fifty-five Warcraft level. And hearing that woman talk about tens of millions of spiders in every cave, he immediately abandoned the idea of summoning a legion.

Moreover, according to what he knew about some methods of cultivating Divine Guards, it was somewhat similar to rearing Gu insects in reality. These spiders were quite special; killing them could yield special divine marks.

Obtaining enough divine marks could lead to evolution. Tens of millions of bugs slaughtering each other would result in the last million being almost entirely comprised of Warcraft at the chief level. In the end, only one or ten would remain, depending on the requirements for selecting Divine Guards, truly a selection from tens of millions.

According to Li Yao’s understanding of this cruel ritual, this was definitely the most crucial ground for the fallen elves, and those spiders would ultimately produce one or even several faction-level chiefs.

They were indeed true faction-level beings, much stronger than the Witherbarks, who lacked sanity.

Although the transformations of the Witherbarks were also formidable, the concept was different. The Witherbarks’ changes produced the equivalent of thugs and dead soldiers, whereas the faction-level produced here would be great generals commanding their own territories.

In Li Yao’s battlefield space, even though there might be hundreds of thousands of elite troops, he dared not summon them. Even if they could slaughter quite a number, even several times their own number, what use would that be against tens of millions of Warcraft-level Silver Hero Spiders? And in the end, the remaining five million would become a Warcraft-level Monster Corps, making it impossible to fight his way out with his own legion.

Seeing the spiders crawling up, Li Yao panicked completely, his hands bound behind his back without any chance of summoning a pet.

Li Yao couldn’t care less about the mysterious woman watching him. In a flash, his soul in the form of a Death God appeared, sweeping his Reaper’s Scythe through the air. Accompanied by swathes of ghostly light, the rapidly approaching spiders were instantly sliced into pieces.

Despite that his attributes were still far below those of a genuine race chief at this point, they were already incredibly powerful, at least much more so than these spiders, making it natural for him to kill them instantly.

Then, using his unbreakable Reaper’s Scythe, he directly cut the chains binding his original body, freeing himself from the spiderweb’s entrapment and finally returning to his own body.

The woman, who had been sipping wine and enjoying the spectacle, showed a hint of surprise in her eyes. The interest in her gaze intensified.

With the Reaper’s Scythe in hand, Li Yao was quickly trying to figure out what to do.

“So many bodies, I estimate I’ll gain even more energy units, huh…”

Li Yao had planned to harness the energy units from fifty million Silver Hero Warcraft, which would amass a huge Bug Race Troop for himself. But the spiders killed by his Death God form turned into specks of ghostly light and merged into Li Yao’s body.

“System: Player Prairie Fire has joined the Divine Guardian trial of the Ros Lord God.”

“System: Killing the trial participants rewards Divine Radiance.”

“System: Divine Radiance can be used to enhance one’s own rank, making up for any deficiencies.”

“System: Obtained twenty-five points of Divine Radiance, making up for deficiencies in a one-star elite attribute, progress 0.03%.”

Li Yao was startled, then overjoyed.

Although the race and inherent attribute differences meant that not all chiefs at the same level were equal, becoming a race chief had enhanced Li Yao’s attributes, which were still inferior to those of the elf race chiefs at the same level, an issue not pertaining to his current promotion.

In the end, it all came down to the fact that he had always been short on attributes during his promotion, lacking some at every stage from elite to Silver Hero to leader, totalling nine star levels, which naturally put him behind the average.

It wasn’t that it couldn’t be compensated for. When the time for Divine Enthronement came, those players who achieved godhood found various ways to make up for this deficit; otherwise, they wouldn’t have succeeded, or, even if they had, they would have become extremely weak gods.

But the issue was that this was something that happened years later when players were generally at full level, and it was a matter of when all kinds of good stuff and the world were fully available. Not to mention current players, it was virtually impossible for Li Yao to complete it either.

Therefore, in Li Yao’s plan, although compensating for the attribute deficit was important, it was not something that could be done in two years. Unexpectedly, he had stumbled upon this chance.

How could Li Yao not be overjoyed? Such opportunities were truly once in a lifetime, and he even refrained from summoning his pets.

“Could it be that the Spider Queen saw my exceptional talent and wants to cultivate me? But that’s impossible. She probably didn’t expect me to have this opportunity, or rather, she didn’t think I would survive,” he mused.

One must know that preparing for such a training for the race-level Divine Guardian trial would take a long time and a great cost. Fifty million spider eggs was not a small number, representing a formidable legion, all for the sake of cultivating a Worm King. It couldn’t possibly be to give him a leg-up.

“Since that’s the case, I will strive to attain divine brilliance. Let’s see if you regret your decision later.” As Li Yao quickly killed spiders, his mind raced with thoughts on how to emerge victorious in the end.

“Relying on myself alone won’t cut it,” he admitted. “No matter how good my skills, facing an endless assault is not the solution. There are too many poison spiders here–just one bite from each, and I’d be done for. Moreover, they can also gain divine brilliance by killing each other, and as their numbers dwindle, the remaining spiders will only get stronger.”

After two hours of continuous slaughter, Li Yao was starting to feel a bit weary. He realized he was engulfed in a sea of spiders. Despite the exhaustion from the relentless killing, seeing that he had completely compensated for his elite attribute deficiency and had started to make up for the Silver Hero level, Li Yao couldn’t bear to give it up.

Had it not been for the Touch of Darkness that helped him absorb some of the toxin, Li Yao would have likely perished by now.

“This won’t do, these creatures are already three-star Silver Heroes, each equivalent to a leader level. I’m almost unable to kill them instantly,” he thought. After pondering for a moment, he finally came up with a plan and immediately sent out a mental wave to the Broodmother.

The Broodmother quickly responded, “Great Dominator, it is impossible to control all of the bugs.”

Li Yao felt a twinge of disappointment, “How many can you control then?”

“With my own spiritual power, I can control five thousand. Any more than that would require energy units–one unit can control one additional creature,” the Broodmother replied.

Li Yao considered for a moment before saying, “Don’t worry about the energy units. Here’s what we’ll do: steady control of fifty thousand spiders, to fight alongside me.”

“Your will shall be followed, great Dominator.”

With the mental waves sent by the Broodmother, Li Yao’s brow emitted a light shower of stars, and as the light spread, the surrounding spiders, which were still fighting amongst themselves, stiffened for a moment, then quickly ceased their combat, beginning to form military formations.

In no time, fifty thousand spiders of various kinds were arranged according to their attributes. Ghost Hunt Spiders formed the vanguard, the Tank Legion, while Poison Spiders and Flame Spiders, among other magic classes, served as the ranged units, forming a series of interlocking fields of fire.

Li Yao sat in the middle of the formation, atop a Ghost Hunt Spider. As he sent out his mental waves, the fifty-thousand-strong army began their bloody combat…
