Chapter 1195 - Chapter 1195 Chapter 195 Disposal

Chapter 1195: Chapter 195: Disposal Chapter 1195: Chapter 195: Disposal Li Yao unleashed a burst of power, emptying his mana and depleting the Dragon Source.

At that moment, Li Yao was drenched in blood, appearing as a bloodied figure, radiating a fearsome aura.

Li Yao’s recent display of violence was simply too brutal, smashing a person to pieces, which is an entirely different concept from shooting one to death.

Moreover, in just an instant, thousands had been slaughtered, and though Li Yao now seemed powerless to fight back, he still instilled dread in those who witnessed him.

Li Yao nonchalantly picked up two dark gold items dropped by the boss, not even looking at them as he stored them away.

Starfire’s people quickly rushed over, surrounding Li Yao to protect him, while the Mist Walker silently appeared with his men behind Li Yao.

“This is your level of refinement? What an eye-opener,” even the Mist Walker, a druid who believed in the way of nature, couldn’t help but burst out in anger.

A few leaders’ eyes flickered with embarrassment, but they all pretended not to hear, choosing to turn a deaf ear as it’s better to ignore such matters, especially since nothing serious had happened.

Li Yao slowly stepped out of the encirclement, “Leaders, I trust there’s no doubt about the ownership of the outpost.”

Although the leaders were displeased internally, they were helpless, the outpost had been captured by him, and the leaders had been killed by him. Plus, they had acknowledged the claim in front of many witnesses, so going back on their word now was futile.

What was more important was that the ownership of these outposts was merely a form of capital; it didn’t mean that if you occupy it now, it was yours for good. Post-battle, the factions would need to redistribute the ownership.

Even if they retook the outpost by force, it would be useless, as it would still be considered his victory in the negotiations.

Despite their reluctance, it was a done deal; what mattered more was how to rendezvous with the main Legion, not engaging in meaningless squabbles here.

“If you would allow us passage, that would be great,” said the Amazon leader.

Li Yao nodded, “United against a common enemy, there should be no problem with passage.”

The Amazon general nodded and shook hands with Li Yao, her eyes shining, “You are strong. I look forward to the opportunity to spar with you, and I hope General Prairie Fire will not skimp on his guidance.”

“Definitely, when the opportunity arises,” Li Yao smiled too, gaining favor with an NPC, which would make information and missions much more accessible in the future.

“Damn it!” The Amazon exclaimed in anger.

Li Yao’s expression changed as he quickly split his scythe and held it behind him.

Clink, clink…

Two daggers were blocked by Li Yao, and surprise flashed in the Lion Man assassin’s eyes, “Heh heh heh, lucky you, but next time you won’t be so fortunate. You’d best hold onto those treasures for me.”

After speaking, the Lion Man assassin threw a Smoke Bomb and vanished, sprinting away…

The entire sequence happened so quickly that no one had time to react; obviously, no one had expected an attack on Li Yao at this moment.

By the time the assailant disappeared, it was already too late to pursue them.

“Since you’ve come, don’t even think about leaving,” a cold glint flashed through Li Yao’s eyes as he also vanished in a flicker.

Li Yao swung his Sickle ferociously, striking at thin air, which left the crowd bewildered, thinking he was joking. How could he possibly know the thief’s escape route?

Yet, to everyone’s surprise, the figure of the Lion Man assassin stumbled into view, then quickly turned to deliver a blow aimed at stunning Li Yao.

“Kneel before me.”

With a slight upward motion of the Sickle in his right hand, Li Yao broke the thief’s attack. A pained scream erupted from the thief as he dropped to one knee.

“You think you can kill me, such scum? You overestimate yourself.”

As Li Yao spoke, he merged the two Sickles into a Giant Scythe. As he turned, the blade swept around, and the assassin’s head was severed from his body. Li Yao’s form flashed, and he was back in his original position, as if what had just happened was nothing but an illusion.

The clash between the two was as quick as lightning. It took only a mere two to three seconds from the assassin’s appearance to his death. The awe-inspiring process from Li Yao being ambushed to finding and killing his attacker left everyone in shock. The blood from the fresh kill sprayed onto Li Yao’s gear, already faded in color, dyeing it once more with a particularly gruesome hue.

This was especially true for the extraterrestrial players who recognized practically everyone here; they were some of the top and most famous experts among them. The Lion Man assassin was even known as the “Killer King,” rumored to have never failed a target.

However, such a formidable being not only failed but was slain so cleanly and even humiliated by being beheaded while kneeling, which was utterly disgraceful, making all the extraterrestrial players’ faces burn. They always looked down on Earth players, considering themselves superior, but this time, the embarrassment was more than enough.

With a cold expression, Mist Walker addressed the Lion Man General, “Are the people from your Sub-dimension trying to provoke a faction war by assassinating our General? If this matter is not satisfactorily resolved, and you think we from the Dark Camp are weak and can be bullied, then we will demonstrate the iron and blood of our Dark Camp with our lives.”

The Amazon General also spoke chillingly, “If we don’t get to the bottom of this today, I won’t mind teaching you uncivilized fellows a lesson.”

A General from the Light Faction weighed in, “Although I think the General of the Dark Camp is unpleasant as well, your actions are a challenge to our alliance’s covenant.”

Anger flickered in the eyes of the Lion Man General. He wanted to explode with rage at such insults, but they were isolated and weak. If they turned hostile now, they would surely be wiped out. Even annihilating them wouldn’t cause their higher-ups to turn against each other over this affair since reason was not on their side.

“As for those who don’t follow orders, expel them from the team, revoke all military merits, and make an example of them. Are you satisfied now?” The Lion Man General said through clenched teeth.

“The General’s words are exactly in line with my thoughts,” Li Yao said coldly. “I can’t control other teams, but within my command, failure to follow orders is absolutely not tolerated. All the recruits who recently approached the leader and snatched the spoils are to be expelled, all military merits cancelled, and all military ranks stripped. Mist Walker, is my handling to your satisfaction?”

Mist Walker nodded, “The General is still too kind. Such offenses against a superior should be treated as treason.”

The teammates of the involved players looked uncomfortable, but none dared to speak out. With Mist Walker being so severe, if they provoked Li Yao any further, they really could be treated as traitors. Only then did they realize the extent of Li Yao’s authority.

The other two factions proceeded with similar punishments, casting a gloom over the player community. Many were unlucky, losing their eligibility for the current event out of greed. Now, having suffered significant losses, they had been counting on earning great rewards with their military merits, but that opportunity was now gone–a truly disproportionate loss.

The incident provided a significant deterrent to all, and then everyone set off on their way. Li Yao stayed behind with a large number of sappers to collect the bodies. After all, these were units of energy, and one could never have too much of such resources…
