Chapter 1119: Chapter 1119: Demanding Chapter 1119: Chapter 1119: Demanding “No need for that, you clean up the battlefield, reorganize them, and assess the damage,” Li Yao said as he pulled out the Thousand Mechanisms Bow, a glint of light flashed in his eyes, and he suddenly released his fingers.
Infinite Range Arrow!
Along with a streak of light, Alluring All was pierced through the throat from behind, her body tumbling down and getting crushed into mincemeat by the Giant Rhinos.
“Fuck your grandmother, this shit actually works,” Wan Renwang, afraid he’d be hit by an arrow too, abruptly leapt from the back of a Giant Rhino and landed behind a large tree.
The Giant Rhinos also gradually ceased their charge and began to return to Li Yao’s side.
“Interesting,” Li Yao said leisurely as he nocked a second arrow, but before he could shoot, he saw a group of players rushing over.
A thief suddenly used Shadow Step to appear behind Wan Renwang and began an ambush, unleashing a series of skills that left Wan Renwang with less than one-third of his health.
Wan Renwang abruptly activated Shield Wall, stunning the thief with a Shockwave and ducking to the ground as he gulped down a Healing Potion.
But his face changed color immediately because he saw a group of players directly blocking his escape.
Following a wave of attacks, Wan Renwang was left with just a sliver of health, even after activating Shield Wall, otherwise, he would have been killed by that last barrage of attacks.
“Wan Renwang, even you have days like this.”
“Yeah, weren’t you very arrogant? Keep that up.”
“Damn it, because of you my entire army is gone, fuck your grandmother.”
Wan Renwang glanced at the players closing in, laughed wildly, “I thought it was someone significant, turns out it’s you trash. Having spared your lives out of pity, you dare join forces to hunt me down, should have crushed you into mush when wiping out your Legions. Begging like dogs for mercy before, now what are you arrogant about?”
“You’re arrogant, but you’re still getting defeated so miserably,” one player sneered.
A female Mage said through gritted teeth, “My Tree Demon Legion was so adorable, all wiped out by your sneak attack. You owe me for my losses.”
“Exactly, this guy has robbed many players, there must be a Legion in his war space, call it out and we’ll let you go,” the crowd jeered.
“I’m not afraid to tell you cretins, indeed I have an army left in my war space, but I’ll give you nothing,” Wan Renwang said with a cold laugh, seeing more people gathering from other directions, “You’re not worthy of killing me.”
As he spoke, he promptly slit his own throat with his sword, and everyone was baffled–this was a decisively suicidal move.
Li Yao shook his head slightly and put away the Thousand Mechanisms Bow, “I thought his army was acquired through military exploits, turns out it was from robbing others, but this turned out to my advantage. Had I known, I would have let Nicholas play with him slowly, to wring out a bit more army.”
Li Yao shook his head again, assessing the gains and losses this time.
The whole battlefield was a mess, the Giant Rhinoceros Army was formidable indeed–thirty thousand Blood Servants, after two charges by them, had lost more than half, while the elite Goblin Eaters were unharmed.
Li Yao checked, the queen was still evolving, and even the members of the Worm Tribe were in a slumbering state. With no other option, Li Yao ordered the Blood Servants and lower-level Undead to clean up the battlefield, leaving no stone unturned, after all, these corpses thrown into the conversion pool were all energy.
Yesterday’s great battle, along with today’s, Li Yao estimated that about ten thousand energy units had been credited to his account–an unexpected joy indeed.
Today’s battle with the Vampires also yielded brilliant results. Although nearly twenty thousand Blood Servants were lost, around a thousand Blood Servant Giant Rhinos were gained. While they lacked the Hero Aura and were slightly weaker than when that Hunter was present, becoming Blood Servants and adding Nicholas’s aura granted them bloodsucking and regenerative traits–an even trade of strengths and weaknesses.
Scavenging Vultures, comprising mostly elites, a few silvers, and some ordinary vultures, although only average in combat strength, were still part of the air force. Since Vampires weren’t exactly adept at direct and forceful confrontation, the addition of these aerial cannon fodders significantly improved the Vampire Legion’s survivability.
Additionally, other lower-tier Undead Legionnaires like Goblin Eaters and Skeleton Warriors totaled around twenty-five thousand in number. Although their strength varied, as cannon fodder, they were quite satisfactory.
The Vampire commander led them without hindrance. Although unable to deploy the Sonic Array, those benefiting from the Blood Fog Confusion also gained a significant boost, increasing the number of troops Li Yao could send into battle.
Furthermore, after today’s battle, Li Yao realized that some players already possessed armies of this size. His Worm Tribe was no longer an advantage, so Li Yao decided to expand his Bug Race Troops once again, naturally, after the queen had absorbed the Divine Blood and completed her metamorphosis in a couple of days.
While Li Yao was quietly strategizing, the group of two to three hundred players didn’t leave. Instead, they ran over to Li Yao’s army formation.
“Halt!” Nicholas called out with a cold face.
The leading player coughed lightly and said, “Don’t misunderstand, we have some matters to discuss with your lord.”
Nicholas saw Li Yao with his head down, not knowing what he was doing, and said impatiently, “The lord is busy and doesn’t have time to see you. Be gone.”
“Hey, buddy, over here, over here. We’re all players here; give us a response,” came a shout from the crowd, as if they were calling out to Li Yao.
Li Yao was disturbed from his thoughts and frowned instantly. He looked at these players and asked indifferently, “Gentlemen, you’ve had your revenge. Is there anything else?”
The leading player spoke earnestly, “We’ve come to thank you for helping us defeat Wan Renwang. That guy relied on his Giant Rhinoceros Army to rob us…”
Li Yao waved his hand dismissively, “I’m not interested in your affairs and don’t need your thanks. If there’s nothing else, please leave.”
Li Yao wasn’t in the mood to deal with them as he was preoccupied with how to complete his task of becoming a leader. According to his guildmates, some players were also undertaking leader tasks. It seemed that everyone had been busy over this period, with some even aiming for leader status. Naturally, he couldn’t fall behind, especially since he’d always been one to lead the charge.
“Cough, cough, cough, also, now that you’ve defeated Wan Renwang, can you return our troops to us?” the leading player asked.
Li Yao was taken aback and frowned, “Your troops?”
“Yeah. These Undead Legions were stolen from us by Wan Renwang. Now that Wan Renwang is dead, the troops should naturally return to their original owners, right?”
The crowd echoed his sentiment, clearly seeking the return of these legions, with some players even casting their eyes on the Giant Rhinoceros Army.
“No, no, no, you’ve misunderstood one thing: this is now my army. You’re being quite hilarious. Alright, I’ve enjoyed your joke, now go do whatever you need to do,” Li Yao said, waving them off with impatience.
“So, are you saying you won’t give us face, then? There are over a hundred of us here, from different guilds. Brother, you should really think this over,” the leading player’s expression darkened.
Li Yao’s face also turned sour, “Even if I don’t give in, what can you do to me? A bunch of idiots. Scram while I’m still in a good mood.”…
