Chapter 1117 - Chapter 1117 Chapter 1117 Charge
Chapter 1117: Chapter 1117: Charge Chapter 1117: Chapter 1117: Charge Although these fellows were a bit unconventional, just relying on the thousand-strong Giant Rhinoceros Army was undoubtedly a reason to be arrogant.
Moreover, the other party had just said that charging ten thousand Goblin Eaters with a thousand Giant Rhinos wasn’t an exaggeration–indeed, the Giant Rhinoceros Army had the capital and strength to back this claim. The rhinos, although not Warcraft, were tough-skinned and thick-fleshed. Ordinary low-level magic wouldn’t affect them, and even now, many leather armors were originally made from hides with ultra-strong armor and magic resistance.
“Vampire ladies, let me show you what we’re capable of, and then you’ll obediently crawl into bed and wait for me,” Wan Renwang said with a smile and a wave of his hand.
Following Wan Renwang’s command, thousands of giant rhinos rapidly charged towards the vampire formation. Hot on the heels of the rhinos were other undead species, clearly, this was a legion obtained through military exploits earned with the help of the rhinos.
As the Giant Rhinos thundered forward, the ground trembled with their steps. Li Yao instantly flashed to a tall tree in the distance, while the Black Dragon Queen floated quietly behind him, calmly observing the battlefield. Having experienced aeons, such disturbances hardly stirred any emotion in her.
“Disgusting thing, you don’t even qualify to become a Blood Servant,” Nicholas said coldly, watching the rapidly approaching rhinos, “Let them witness what a real Vampire Legion is like.”
The morale of her Vampire Legion had completely skyrocketed. Their leader enabling them to maintain combat effectiveness during the day had already greatly boosted their spirits–such a talent was extraordinarily rare, a one-in-a-million aura skill.
Being assigned to her side had actually spelled despair for them, meaning they were forsaken by their race, but this aura had enabled them to achieve many miraculous battles, and their leader’s wisdom had time and again built immense confidence within them.
Though captured last night, today their leader’s aura had grown even stronger, making them fearless.
Just as the Giant Rhinoceros Army was about to trample the vampire forces, Nicholas let out a sharp shriek, and massive bat wings appeared behind her as she soared into the sky.
All elite vampires of the Vampire Legion also emitted sharp cries and soared upward, dispersing the Blood Servants rapidly as they ascended.
“Let them feel the boiling of blood.” The vampires ascended, shrouded in a blood mist resembling a blood cloud, and the stench of decay spells rained down like blood rain, enveloping everything.
Puff puff puff…
The vampires’ targets were not the Giant Rhinos but the other undead legions. As globs of blood plasma hit the ground, both skeletons and Goblin Eaters emitted white smoke as if scorched by Holy Light. This was the corrosion of blood toxin; non-elite undead simply dissolved in this bloody rain.
While elite undead were continually corroded, their health rapidly dwindled, only silver class undead could maintain over eighty percent of their combat effectiveness.
These blood magic-casting vampires continued to rise, while another group of ten thousand flew quickly to replenish the original positions.
“Blood Spears!”
With this icy command, vampires who flew into position rapidly hurled short spears, blood-red in color, seemingly still dripping with fresh blood. The howling of the blood spears emitted strange, sharp noises as if to shatter one’s skull.
Puff, puff, puff, puff, puff, puff…
Clearly, the Elite Vampire Legion was well-trained over time to coordinate, each row releasing a fixed quantity of blood spears, then soaring up like those who had cast magic before, forming a huge ring, their thrown blood spears seemingly linking into handles on the ring, creating an eerie circular fan shape.
Several Blood Spears pierced through the bodies of the undead creatures, and many with tenacious vitality were nailed directly to the ground.
The ground flashed with a hint of earthy light from the Giant Rhinos.
“Crush them,” Wan Renwang’s face twisted menacingly.
The eyes of the Blood Servants were blood-red; their wings weren’t strong enough for flight but certainly added agility to their movements.
As the Giant Rhinos neared, the Blood Servants exhibited no fear; instead, they furiously threw themselves at the Giant Rhinoceros Army, Wan Renwang’s face cold with indifference, evidently accustomed to seeing the scatter caused by the rhinos’ charge. They expected no different this time.
Bang, bang, bang…
Several Blood Servants were either sent flying by direct hits from the Giant Rhinos or crushed under their massive bodies. In terms of strength and size, there was simply no comparing the two sides; true collisions, even for elite vampires, couldn’t withstand the impact of a rhino charge.
Yet the Blood Servants didn’t confront them head-on, but rather avoided direct collisions, swarming over the Giant Rhinos.
Despite significant losses, numerous Blood Servants managed to latch onto the Giant Rhinos, their sharp blood claws firmly embedded.
Like little birds clinging onto a wild boar, they continued to charge along with the Giant Rhinos.
“Hahaha, idiots, ridiculous vampires, are you trying to be ornaments on the rhinos? Your little claws can’t even scratch their hide, trying to kill a rhino this way is absurd.”
Wan Renwang, at the forefront on a gigantic Giant Rhino, smashed a Blood Servant off with his Warhammer. The Blood Servant hit the ground and, rolling due to the enormous inertia, was then trampled into pieces by following rhinos, Wan Renwang carelessly leaving the remaining blood teeth and blood claws embedded in the rhino’s body.
Others on the Giant Rhinos also knocked off the clinging Blood Servants, quickly breaking through their lines. After running a distance, they turned their formation around, the battlefield a mess in the wake of the rhino charge, leaving behind a ground muddied with blood.
Under the assault of vampires, the Undead Legion also suffered heavy casualties.
But Wan Renwang and his men hardly cared, once again raising their hands and then launching another charge in the opposite direction. On other Giant Rhinos, numerous Blood Servants continued to madly bite, but to Wan Renwang and his men, it seemed merely like tickling.
“What a Giant Rhinoceros Army, truly equipped with the might to shake thousands of troops,” Li Yao sighed.
The Black Dragon Queen said, “They’re only good for strutting in front of cannon fodder regiments. Against real elites, they’re nothing.”
“Compared to the Dragon Clan or the Guardian Legion, even the regular armies of various races, they indeed amount to nothing. But at our current stage, where can we get real sixth-tier elites? The Giant Rhinos are already a decent charging army,” Li Yao was quite satisfied.
The Dragon Queen nodded, “Nicolas indeed has some strategies. Once these rhinos are handled, the combat power of the Vampire Legion can increase a level, fully capable of a frontal assault.” …
