Chapter 1011 - Chapter 1011 Chapter 1011 The New Pet
Chapter 1011: Chapter 1011: The New Pet Chapter 1011: Chapter 1011: The New Pet Li Yao truly reaped a major harvest this time, one that couldn’t be measured in Gold Coins.
Only Starfire, no other guild could nurture such a normal-sized harbor city, let alone this one.
The scale of the port was fairly significant from the start, much like Starfire’s original garrison, which was said to be a village but was actually more like two. One can imagine the expenses involved, if not for the support of the shops in Starfire main city, Starfire’s finances would have likely collapsed long ago.
Moreover, because of the development of the port, Starfire’s entertainment racing plan had to be temporarily shelved.
Therefore, to other guilds, Starfire’s development seemed nothing short of miraculous.
Starfire’s strategy was simple: spend money, but other guilds couldn’t follow suit.
Many powerful individuals in reality even investigated Sister Li’s strength and background, knowing that Sister Li was extremely wealthy, an unparalleled beauty and also a super-rich lady.
However, according to their channels, Starfire hadn’t bought any Gold Coins.
This was precisely what made other guilds green with envy; Starfire had developed without relying on any real-world funds, and what’s more, they were developing two real strongholds simultaneously, which was truly miraculous.
And as Starfire continued to surge in popularity, let’s not even talk about the businesses that cooperated with Starfire for promotion; there were countless others who wanted to join Starfire.
However, Starfire wasn’t accepting any capital injections at all, with shares firmly controlled by Li Yao and the first batch of veterans.
If it were any other guild, they simply wouldn’t be able to develop, whereas Starfire was only becoming more popular. Although Starfire was a Dark Camp guild today,
with both strongholds becoming neutral, players from the Neutral and Light Factions were surprised to find that they could search for Starfire in their guild search.
This meant that players from other factions could also join Starfire.
As Spark Station grew livelier, players from other guilds were also desperately trying to join Starfire.
It was just that Starfire had nearly reached its member limit, and no one was concerned about this now.
After all, Starfire also needed to level up, preparing for the level 40 main story instance.
Apart from Starfire becoming a bustling hub, by day Bloodmoon had already descended.
The radiation range of Rogge Camp had turned into a sea of monsters, not just an increase in ordinary monsters, but all the bosses refreshed at once and actively attacked the towns.
The speed of killing in defending the cities was already fast, and with the added bonus of multiple experience points, the leveling speed drove countless players mad.
And Titan’s Relics had been fully unveiled; the two factions cooperated to move the relics to the surface, and as both factions’ armies joined the offensive, players also launched their attacks.
Starfire had already leveled up there much earlier. Under Li Yao’s guidance, they chose an advantageous terrain and transported various defensive mechanisms there, establishing fortifications. Facing the frenzied monster attacks, Starfire was quite at ease.
This made countless onlookers envious of Starfire’s leveling progress.
However, Li Yao was right there in the middle of his team, summoning his pets as well as Rocket Cannons and Arrow Towers, while he himself began crafting his own pet inside the stronghold.
Sister Li was also remotely managing guild affairs while soaking up experience points on the side.
Of course, even if Li Yao didn’t attack, his pets, Rocket Cannons, and Arrow Towers were formidable enough.
Before coming here, Li Yao visited the auction house once, and sure enough, as he expected, the three-slot grey equipment was very cheap, but there were too few of them, especially the level 40 ones. Li Yao ended up spending a few silver coins to buy a three-slot equipment piece. He actually hoped there would be more expensive equipment available.
Li Yao’s idea was actually quite simple, which was to create his pet before the main questline dungeon began, and then come up with a suitable rune language for himself.
Time slipped away quietly until two days later, Li Yao finally managed to create his new pet.
It was an immensely huge true turret, completely different in concept from Li Yao’s smaller turrets. In terms of area, it looked even more gigantic than the Spider Tank.
It resembled a massive super tank, except that, of course, it couldn’t move.
Li Yao was of course aware that it was only the base of the three components and it was supposed to lack a propulsion system.
Li Yao could make minor adjustments, but if he added a propulsion system, it wasn’t that he couldn’t do it, but that would result in a decrease in quality.
This wasn’t what Li Yao wanted to see. He still wanted to get his hands on the other two parts and then assemble them into a super robot that could fly or even be used as a Mecha.
When Li Yao placed the Mechanical Core made of Rune Stone into it, his pet was finally completed.
VX-001 Laser Turret
Rank: Mid-level Racial Chief
Health: Determined by its own and its master’s health.
Armor: Advanced Metal (immune to low-level physical and Magic Assaults), all damage 35% forgiven.
Skills: 1. Omnidirectional Thermal Radiation Device: Used about every 30 seconds, releases a 300-yard thermal shockwave, causing 2k + master’s bonus damage, and in the next 5 seconds causes another 10k + master’s bonus fire damage.
2. Ten-Barreled Rapid-Fire Laser Cannon: Frequently used. Targets a direction where an enemy is located and fires continuously for 3 seconds, causing 6 instances of 2k + master’s bonus natural damage. The firing angle is about a 20-degree cone with unlimited range.
3. Arm Charging: Lasts 4 seconds. Once fully charged, VX-001 can use P3Wx2.
P3Wx2 Laser Barrage (correct name is pew pew Laser Barrage): Starts firing a barrage of lasers in the direction faced after starting charging and rotates clockwise or counterclockwise by 120 degrees during the firing process, covering a thirty-degree arc with a range of three hundred yards. If hit, the target will suffer 80k (instant death) damage per second.
4. Rear Rocket Bomb: 4 seconds before the Rocket Bomb launches, a crosshair will appear at the target’s position. After 4 seconds, launches a Rocket Bomb from the rear to attack the crosshair position, dealing 1500k (instant death) fire damage in a 3-yard radius.
Life Form: Mechanical mid-level life form, capable of growth and evolution.
Energy filling: Fire gemstone, Epic Dust, Arcane Dust.
He immediately signed the contract, then looked at the attributes and put it away. This pet was simply indescribable for Li Yao.
No doubt his three little turrets were nothing compared to this true firepower turret.
“This is the real turret. If I could get a Gatling gun too, that would be awesome,” Li Yao thought a little greedily.
Since this pet was basically immobile, it sacrificed mobility, but this allowed it to explode with incredible firepower. The key was that as a pet, this turret could truly benefit from Li Yao’s attribute bonuses.
With health nearly one-fourth more robust than the Spider Tank, and with the so-called damage forgiveness, it was incredibly tough.
Li Yao thought of the skills that came with the earrings, and suddenly smiled.
Li Yao almost couldn’t resist trying out the power of this pet, but he held back, planning to keep this pet as his trump card for pioneering a new territory…
