Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva
Chapter 902 - 66: Tilan, the Pet Hospital Veterinarian_2

Tilan didn't answer immediately. Instead, she tilted her head to look at the young man for a moment.

"I'll talk to Suoga after she's finished showering, and then I'll leave," she paused briefly.

"You're a student too, aren't you? Don't you have classes?" She finally recognized him—because of the matter involving the cat-ear sisters. Ailu Kelu had later shown her some intelligence reports, and she'd glanced over them. Only now did she give it more thought.

"I took a few days off," he rubbed his head.

"Well, you've been gone for quite a while. The teachers have been urging, so…"

"So it's better to return to school and sort things out first," Tilan suggested.

He wanted to argue back, but the girl's brief words quickly dispelled any thoughts of rebuttal. Her presence caused Shan's already anxious emotions from the past few days to surge to the forefront.

"Uh... I got it. Tomorrow I'll talk to Alanna. I probably need to visit school too," he said.

After finishing this short conversation, Shan began to overthink again—like how he should explain things to Alanna tomorrow, how to account for them to his mentor, and how to get back out there afterward without affecting his studies.

The young man… Tilan felt something peculiar about him now.

Compared to normal people, his thoughts were too easily captured—or rather, the emotional fluctuations in his mind were too outwardly visible. With the Talent of a Songstress, influencing someone like him was incredibly easy. If she were slightly malicious, she could even hypnotize him on the spot.

She closed her eyes slightly, using her perception to observe him again.

Although he was easily influenced by outsiders, his unique characteristics also allowed him to sense many emotional shifts that normal people couldn't perceive. If utilized properly, he could excel in certain professions.

If Connectors all had such talents, it would indeed make sense for them to build extraordinary connections.

After completing her observation, Tilan opened her eyes just as Suoga stepped out from her shower, wearing a dark red tank top with a damp towel slung over her shoulder.

"Did Gen go to sleep?" Suoga glanced at the garage interior.

"Yes, he left first," Shan replied.

"Then we'll discuss things with him tomorrow," she said before looking over at Tilan and Shan.

"Are you sleeping here tonight, Zi Jin? I feel like you might not be accustomed to staying here."

"I'll head back later," Tilan shook her head.

"What about Shan?"

"I'll stay here tonight, but I need to head back to school tomorrow," he said.

"No worries. You go deal with school first. I'll hold things down here," Suoga waved dismissively.

"It's a rare chance to get into college—it's a place that can change your life. I didn't have that option," she said while pulling a drink from the fridge and sitting down next to Tilan.

"Tonight was amazing~ Zi Jin, you're the most impressive Breeder I've ever seen," she praised, seemingly still savoring the victory from earlier.

"With you here, the revival of our organization feels promising. At the very least, just by standing there, you give off this… how should I put it… this aura of incredible strength and elegance, a mysterious and captivating presence." She tried to describe the vague feelings in her heart with her limited vocabulary.

"It's like those senior members of organizations in TV dramas. Yes, that's it—really fits that vibe. Haha, I knew I made the right choice," she said cheerfully, entirely unlike Shan or Gen, who were weighed down by their worries.

After a few more casual comments, the time neared 11:30 p.m., and Tilan got up, saying she needed to head back.

"Safe travels tonight. If you're scared of the dark, I can walk you partway," Suoga waved.

Though her appearance seemed young and delicate, Suoga had witnessed Tilan smash through the entirety of the competition firsthand. She felt that Tilan, as a top-performing university student, was undoubtedly stronger than herself, so she didn't worry about her safety.

Shan didn't know about all this. Before she left, he asked her out of concern, but he didn't insist too much—as he wasn't the assertive type.

Leaving the dilapidated warehouse behind, Tilan walked along a nearby street. The area was somewhat deserted, with only a few streetlights still lit.

As she strolled through the night, Tilan thought about the people she'd encountered tonight, analyzing them briefly.

Suoga didn't require much explanation. Her thought process was almost instinctive—understanding what kind of person she was was enough; there was no need to dwell on the logic behind it. Gen, on the other hand, was much more cautious, but his own issues weren't significant. His standing in the organization was far inferior to Suoga's, making it difficult for him to control her. Shan was very straightforward. Though his abilities were decent, his actions seemed even greener than hers.

Such individuals made it hard for Tilan to imagine Alanna as the mature, calculating leader or a cunning master strategist. For an organization like this to exist for a long time, it had to be because it was too 'harmless,' failing to draw significant attention from the outside world.

As far as she was concerned, that was fine. If this truly were some nefarious organization, she wouldn't dare to join recklessly. If exposed, it wouldn't be good for the Songstress's reputation.

Since she had entered this, sooner or later the Court of Judgment would take notice of the organization. However, as long as she was present, the Court of Judgment had a customary rule that they wouldn't intervene during this period to avoid 'disrupting' the original life trajectory of the Songstress.

After all, their primary responsibility was 'protection,' not 'surveillance.'

Wrapping up her day, Tilan returned to school, indulged in a proper soak in the bath, and rested. The next morning, she stepped out at 9 a.m.

"Ding-ding-clang-clang—"

Opening the door to a pet clinic, Tilan heard familiar sounds—the usual when a customer arrived.

"Oh, it's Zi Jin," recognized the voice. Lemon Fruit immediately jogged out from the room next door, cradling a calico cat.

"I'm giving it an injection. According to its owner, the little one has been running a fever recently."
