Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva -
Chapter 857 - 50 Words Are Like a Sharp Sword_2
Framing's words caused a stir in the hall, as many guests began to whisper amongst themselves. Just as Framing was about to clear his throat to continue, the side door of the hall opened, and Flora, dressed in a classical goddess gown, stepped into the venue. She walked up to the stage and took the microphone from the host.
"Mr. Framing, do you realize what you are doing? This is the opening ceremony of the 'Four Winds Deity' hotel, not a press conference for 'Mocodanta'. Your disrespectful behavior does not merit our respect; please leave early."
After she finished speaking, several security personnel in suits emerged from the side door. They approached Framing, and though they didn't lay hands on him, their intent was very clear.
The scene unfolding in the hall was witnessed by many guests and the still-present band members, creating a tense atmosphere where no one felt comfortable breaking the silence.
"Things seem to be getting interesting," Ores remarked as she observed the three people beside her, noting their curiosity.
"Let's not resort to violence too hastily, Miss Flora," Framing said, still unruffled.
"The matter I am about to address is of grave importance. Your haste in this matter will only raise suspicions that your hotel indeed has numerous issues that you are afraid to let me disclose."
This statement put the Four Winds Deity hotel in an extremely awkward position. To silence him would lead to endless gossip, but letting him speak could potentially lead to even more dire consequences should any issues arise.
If it were older members of the Four Winds Deity family dealing with today's events, they would have more strategies and means at their disposal. However, the managers present today were from the younger generation, and they had no room for error. Even a slight loss was a total loss, for losing this project would mean no future for them.
After a brief but intense internal exchange and voting, Flora's raised hand ultimately reluctantly retreated.
"Then go ahead and speak your mind, Mr. Framing. But I must warn you: everything you say will be recorded, and in the event of any falsehood or slander, we will initiate litigation, involve the police and legal institutions, and the Four Winds Deity will not forget what happens today," Flora warned.
"No problem," Framing said confidently, causing Flora's heart to sink.
"The issue I want to address is simple: there are significant security flaws in the hotel, making it unsafe for guests residing here."
If the issue were style and comfort, there would be plenty of room for debate, as these are quite subjective. However, with safety, the wealthy and noble guests who frequent high-end hotels naturally pay great attention.
As soon as he finished speaking, a murmur swept through the crowd, with many even more curious about what Framing was referring to, especially since the Central Star Domain was already known for its high security.
"Imagine, if someone with an unclear identity infiltrates or sneaks into the hotel you're staying at, what could happen? An unexpected assault by a villain while you're most relaxed, harming your innocent children and family, it's a frightening thought," Framing vividly described.
"You might say that this hotel has fine security, what with its surroundings, internal security personnel and Autonomous Units, etc."
"But what I'm talking about is not these things. Real criminals won't foolishly force their way in, especially in the Central Star Domain. They'll deceive and disguise through various means to quietly approach you."
"Unfortunately, I discovered a dangerous individual in the hotel, and as an operator of the hotel, you were completely unaware, allowing the individual to roam freely, even becoming a quasi-staff member."
His words once again stirred unrest in the venue.
"Who is it?"
"Could it be a fugitive?"
"That shouldn't be, everyone is registered upon entry, and the venue is equipped with the Federation's latest scanning devices."
"Could it actually be someone Framing brought in to backstab us?" Some were suspicious of this.
"Heh, I know you all are doubting and don't believe it, but luckily, the person is still in the hall and hasn't left yet," his words once again sparked exclamations, and many became highly tense.
Flora and the young members of the Four Winds Deity family frowned, ears filled with directives to summon security and lock down the hotel.
"Mr. Framing, who are you talking about? Can you point them out right now?" asked a person standing up, dressed so impeccably that their prominence was apparent. Many others echoed the sentiment.
"Yeah, just say it, stop beating around the bush."
"Speak up."
Framing nodded in satisfaction.
"I know everyone is anxious, but I'm just worried about the Four Winds Deity family's grudge, as I am but a small figure, unable to bear such anger," he humbly said at the moment.
In response, Flora and others could only clench their fists in frustration, powerless to stop him.
"It's okay, everyone here can testify. If what you are saying is true, then we'll stop staying at the Four Winds Deity's hotel, and we will support your cause."
"Right, isn't a problem meant to be brought to light? How can one feel assured otherwise?"
"We've all vouched for you, as long as you tell us, we'll mediate with the Four Winds Deity for you."
Seeing the crowd's eager reaction, Framing felt the time was ripe. He turned his head to look towards Flora on the stage.
In response, Flora could only suppress her worries and heaviness, took a deep breath, and then spoke.
"Mr. Framing, if you dare guarantee that you've not played any tricks and are telling the entire truth, then we won't pursue any liabilities against you afterward."
