Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva
Chapter 1001 - 104: Conversation in the Snow

At the end of November, the weather became slightly colder.

Tilan walked on the street in her winter dress as small snowflakes fell from the sky, covering the world with a thin layer of white.

Compared to the warmth and relaxation of summer, winter always seemed a bit more restraining and stiff, although for some, being wrapped in thick clothes felt like wearing armor, providing a certain inexplicable comfort.

Arriving at a storefront, Tilan glanced at the sign above before pushing open the glass door and entering.

All sorts of lively noises greeted her, including conversations between the elderly and children, animal sounds, and the noises of wings flapping and cats and dogs running.

This was a pet hospital, and quite a popular one at that.

"Ah, it's Zi Jin. Are you off from class today?"

"Miss Zi Jin is here, it's been a long time!"

"Could you help me check on my little Bai? It's been feeling down lately."

As soon as Tilan entered, many people gathered around her. She smiled and greeted them one by one, then waved her hand and headed into the staff area at the back.

This was the lounge, where a man in a white shirt was leaning on the sofa with a cup of coffee, reading the news.

"Long time no see, Zi Jin. Are you here for a visit today?" he greeted simply.

"I've finally got a break recently, so I came to take a look." The young girl found a place to sit down.

After finishing reading a news article, the man paused the screen and turned around. He first glanced at the girl's white winter dress with furry edges, then looked at her legs encased in pure white socks, giving a gentle thumbs-up in praise.

"Zi Jin looks great in any outfit," he said before standing up.

"Would you like some hot coffee?"

"Hmm, I'll have a cup, please." After a slight hesitation, Tilan didn't refuse like before and decided to try what Lemon claimed to be the 'poison coffee'.

"Okay, hold on a moment." With that, he walked out.

Though it was winter, the lounge was quite warm. In the center of the circular sofa was a round table, beneath which a heater emitted a soft orange glow, and on it lay a white and gray spotted cat sound asleep, its rhythmic snoring audible in the quiet room.

Behind the sofa, a cage hung with a pale yellow parrot standing with its eyes closed, and on top of a cabinet on the other side, a glimpse of emerald could be seen, likely a coiled snake in hibernation.

Apparently sensing the pleasant environment, by Tilan's side, a large white and blue spider revealed itself. It first circled the sofa, its black eyes darting about, then leaped to hang upside down from the ceiling, running a few circles before landing beside Tilan.

Seeing the spider lift its leg as if wanting to climb onto her lap, Tilan tapped it lightly on the head.

"No, you better check your size now; you can't perch on my lap or think about sitting on my head."

The spider, even in its non-combat form, was now two meters wide and indeed couldn't sit on Tilan's head anymore.

The stopped spider grinded its teeth, making a sound of complaint and protest, then circled the circular sofa a few times before leaping back to the ceiling to lie upside down.

Seeing this, Tilan shook her head slightly, thinking this guy probably just wanted to scare people again.

Soon, a figure appeared at the door, excitedly opening it. The loud footsteps startled the cat sleeping by the heater, but after seeing who it was, the cat turned around and lay back down to sleep.

"Ah, Zi Jin, you're here! It's been so long since I last saw you." Lemon ran excitedly over to Tilan, grabbing her hands.

"I heard from Orcas that your school's management is very strict, and you haven't had the opportunity to come out this semester. Otherwise, I would have thought you disappeared."

"Uh, it really is a bit strict." Tilan nodded after a moment's thought, then turned her attention to another topic.

"How's the business here over the past six months?"

"Pretty good, and there haven't been any major issues. The Orcas you recommended is indeed amazing. Although his style is completely different from Zi Jin's, he has solved a lot of problems." She chattered about various incidents over the past six months, including a few times troublesome customers were scared off by Orcas.

...

"Let me tell you, the white tiger Orcas raised is really impressive. Even though it's around the same size as the black lion Emily keeps, their combat abilities are on a completely different level."

"In July, there was this troublemaking thug who had a particularly ferocious white dog, the kind that drools while walking. He came to our shop, demanding we bathe and groom his dog. The white dog almost bit one of our staff, and yet he just laughed it off, saying it wouldn't kill anyone and asking us to continue the service."

"Things looked like they were about to escalate, so I called Orcas to handle it."

"In the end, that fierce-looking white dog, snarling and biting, cowered as soon as it saw Orcas. And when the white tiger appeared, it laid flat without daring to move. Seeing that scene, that thug was furious, but it was so satisfying," Lemon said constantly chatting.

"That dog shouldn't be an ordinary animal, right?" Tilan thought that if it were a low sequence transcendent animal, the staff at the shop would have been able to handle it easily.

"Though I don't like it, that dog does have Sequence 6 abilities. According to the thug, he spent over ten million Federation Coins on it."
