Following Jian Yuezhi’s gaze, she scanned the area but did not see Dugu Qianye, which relieved her. If Heavenly Venerable had taken a liking to Dugu Qianye and taken her away, there would be no more chances to deal with her! The hatred she harbored for Dugu Qianye couldn’t be quenched until she had flayed her skin, extracted her tendons, drunk her blood, and consumed her flesh!

"All of you, pay close attention. If you let anyone in, you can expect to be skinned!" said the Patrol Team Captain before taking his position at the entrance of the forbidden area.

Before long, Yong Xing and Gong Shi appeared in the sky above the forbidden area, and Jian Fengxing, along with all the sect members, knelt down.

"We welcome Heavenly Venerable!" The unified voice rose from the forbidden area, informing Dugu Qianye behind the mountains of Yong Xing’s arrival.

"Rise," Yong Xing gestured with a wave of his hand, and Jian Fengxing led everyone to their feet.

Yong Xing landed in front of the forbidden area’s main gate, and Jian Fengxing stepped forward to greet him, saying, "Heavenly Venerable, everything is ready! We can enter at any time."

Yong Xing nodded and said, "Good." His eyes swept over Jian Yuezhi, and his body, just about to turn, paused as he asked, "Yuezhi, I heard you met with Green Emperor Xiahou. Meeting another great talent, how did it feel?"

Jian Yuezhi saluted Yong Xing and replied, "Thank you for your concern, Heavenly Venerable. Green Emperor Xiahou’s alchemy skills are quite impressive, but he specializes in alchemy, and I, in artifact refining. We each have our strengths, and I do not consider myself inferior to him!"

Yong Xing laughed heartily upon hearing Jian Yuezhi’s words and said, "Good, you are confident! I am looking forward to you surpassing the heights reached by your ancestors!"

"Yuezhi will do his best!" Jian Yuezhi answered.

"I heard you also visited the Alchemist Sect, how was it there?" Yong Xing continued to inquire.

After contemplating for a moment, Jian Yuezhi responded, "I didn’t like it there, it’s not as good as our Refiners Sect!"

Yong Xing chuckled and, without asking Jian Yuezhi further, said to Jian Fengxing, "Let’s go inside."

Everyone stepped aside as Jian Fengxing channeled two streams of Spiritual Power towards the gate, striking precisely into the two slots in the center of the door. As the Spiritual Power poured in, a Barrier suddenly flashed around the entire forbidden area, enveloping it in layers of light that shimmered under the sunlight.

Dugu Qianye was behind the mountain, considering whether to hide inside the Refining Demon Pot for a while to avoid detection by Yong Xing. While hesitating, the forbidden area suddenly revealed a Barrier, which disappeared after a short moment.

"A Barrier?" Dugu Qianye had not expected such a thing to exist in the forbidden area. She had already searched the entire Sect without uncovering why Sha Hongfei had betrayed them in the first place. Remembering what he said to Little Linzi when leaving the Patrol Team, she planned to investigate the forbidden area someday. Fortunately, she hadn’t acted yet, for if she trespassed into the forbidden area, she would certainly have been discovered.

Suddenly, a ripple passed through the air, and Flame One appeared before Dugu Qianye.

"Flame One, why have you come?" Dugu Qianye exclaimed in a low voice upon seeing him. She glanced around to make sure no one else was nearby before swiftly entering the Refining Demon Pot with Flame One. Once inside, she spoke, "Didn’t I gesture for you to stay with the Patrol Team? Why did you come here? Yong Xing has just arrived. What would you do if he discovered you?"

Flame One could feel the concern in Dugu Qianye’s words and replied, "Mistress, we have discovered important clues."

"What clues? About Sha Hongfei?" Dugu Qianye asked.

Flame One nodded and produced the message recently passed on by the Flame Army. Dugu Qianye took it and began to read, her expression turning grave.

"Ding Li is Sha Hongfei’s daughter?!" Dugu Qianye thought about the harassment she had suffered over the past few months, realizing it was all orchestrated by the maidservant beside Ding Ru, though she had managed to thwart their efforts each time. Initially, she thought it was due to Ding Ru’s affection for Jian Yuezhi that targeted her, but now it seemed that the true purpose was to kill her and incite hatred between Jian Yuezhi, Jian Fengxing, and the Sect!

She continued reading, browsing through all the messages before falling silent.

As she suspected, Ding Li indeed sought revenge against the Sect to create chaos and target her. No wonder Dugu Qianye always felt Ding Li’s hatred towards her was inexplicable; it turned out she was simply caught in the crossfire!

Ding Li’s real name was Sha Li, the daughter born to Sha Hongfei after he fled the Sect.

For a while, the Sect seemed to be caught up in other matters and didn’t pursue them, allowing the two to enjoy a brief period of happiness. Soon after, the woman found herself pregnant, prompting Sha Hongfei to leave her hidden and depart on his own, never to be seen again.

After carrying the child for ten months, the woman gave birth to a girl, who is now Sha Li. She raised Sha Li until she died when the girl was just a few years old, revealing everything about Sha Hongfei to her on her deathbed. A young Sha Li endured much suffering, eventually ending up in the Ding Family as Ding Ru’s maidservant.

Because of her hardships, Sha Li always believed that if not for the Refiners Sect, she could have had a happy family. Instead, she became an orphan and now a maidservant, hence her hatred for the Sect and Jian Fengxing. Learning that Ding Ru had joined the Refiners Sect, she followed under the guise of caring for Ding Ru. Over the years, she caused much trouble within the Sect but always covered it up with a facade of jealousy towards the women around Jian Yuezhi.

"Now that we know Ding Li is Sha Hongfei’s daughter, does she know about the Gold Spiritual Bead?" Dugu Qianye asked.

"We captured her and interrogated her by all means, but she denied having the Gold Spiritual Bead. She claimed that the Sect’s accusation of Sha Hongfei stealing the Gold Spiritual Bead to betray the Sect was just a pretext. So my subordinates think perhaps Sha Hongfei did not take the Gold Spiritual Bead when he left. Maybe there was another reason for his departure," Flame One answered.
