Chapter 417: Chapter 417: Wood Qi, Advancing to Divine Emperor! (2)_1

She called Lan Mei and Xiaohuo over and said, "Lan Mei, we’ve already arrived at the Fengwu Continent. Where did you live before?"

Seemingly not expecting to ever set foot on the land of the Fengwu Continent again, Lan Mei was very excited, looking all around. Hearing Dugu Qianye’s question, she replied, "Master, the place where I lived before is called the Phoenix Tree Forest, where for hundreds of thousands of miles, there are only phoenix trees."

"So where is the Phoenix Tree Forest?" Hao Pengyou asked. A place that wide and filled with phoenix trees, the sight must be spectacular!

"Er, I’ve never left the Phoenix Tree Forest, so..." Lan Mei said somewhat embarrassed.

"No way! You’ve never left the Phoenix Tree Forest?!" Hao Pengyou exclaimed.

"What’s so strange about that? We’re not allowed to leave until we become Super Divine Beasts. It’s quite normal for me not to have left!" Lan Mei explained.

"That is to say, you also don’t know how we should get to the Phoenix Tree Forest," Dugu Qianye concluded.

"So what do we do now?" Xiaohuo asked.

"Let’s go to a place with people and ask around," Dugu Qianye said as she stood up. She asked Lan Mei to change back to her true form, but just as she took two steps and was about to fly onto its back, the ground beneath her gave way, and she fell through.

"Sister!" Xiaohuo, standing next to Dugu Qianye, saw her fall to the ground and immediately jumped down after her.

"Little junior sister?!" Hao Pengyou ran over and, not seeing Dugu Qianye or Xiaohuo, only found a bottomless hole. He panicked and jumped in after them as well.

Lan Mei had changed into human form when Dugu Qianye fell. After Hao Pengyou jumped down, she followed suit.

Dugu Qianye kept falling down the hole, and to her shock, she discovered she couldn’t fly here! Looking up, Dugu Qianye noticed that the hole that had once been big enough to fit her body now looked the size of a bowl, a testament to the depth of the cavern. At this rate of falling, she was sure to be smashed to a pulp!

"Xiaoteng, go!" Dugu Qianye called out in desperation.

Upon receiving Dugu Qianye’s order, the Vine Emperor extended one end of itself swiftly, stretching out rapidly. Once it hit the ground, it wove its vines into a large net, covering it with several flowers. Just as it finished, Dugu Qianye landed onto it, rebounding on the flowers as she continued.

"Master, are you alright?" the Vine Emperor asked with concern.

"I’m fine," Dugu Qianye said as she got off the flowers, "Leave it here, they’ll need it."

"Ah—Sister!"

"Bang!"

Little Fire screamed as she landed on the flowers, thinking she was definitely doomed this time, and then fell onto something soft.

The Vine Emperor carried Little Fire to the ground. As Dugu Qianye lifted her up and stood up, Hao Pengyou and Lan Mei consecutively fell down as well.

"Crack!"

"Ouch!"

"Ah—"

Lan Mei landed on Hao Pengyou’s hand, and with a crisp snap, his piercing howl followed immediately after.

"Ah, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!" Lan Mei hurriedly got off the flowers.

"My hand..." Hao Pengyou lifted his hand briefly, felt an excruciating pain, quickly put it down again, and lay on the flowers with a pitiful face looking up at Dugu Qianye and the others.

Dugu Qianye took out a bottle of elixir, poured one out for him to swallow, and said, "Brother, I concede, your luck really is unparalleled!"

"Er!" Hao Pengyou felt the phrase sound eerily familiar, then remembered he had just said something similar to Dugu Qianye when they were on the ground.

Indeed, Hao Pengyou’s luck was quite poor—poisoned by a Man-Eating Flower, almost devoured by the Vine Emperor, and now his arm was broken by Lan Mei.

"Schadenfreude!" Hao Pengyou accused Dugu Qianye with his eyes.

"We’re even." Dugu Qianye said with a smile.

Hao Pengyou had been lying on the Man-Eating Flower, waiting for the pain in his arm to subside before he climbed down from the blossom. By that time, Dugu Qianye had already surveyed the terrain clearly.

"How is it, did you find anything?" Hao Pengyou asked.

"I looked around, and this place seems to be a natural cave, very wide, nothing special, but there is a tunnel inside. I walked in for a while, thinking of you here, so I didn’t go far." Dugu Qianye said, "How are you feeling now?"

Hao Pengyou moved his arm and said, "I’m fine now. Shall we go inside and have a look?"

"Sure." Dugu Qianye nodded, leading Xiaohuo as they turned and left first, with Hao Pengyou and Lan Mei following behind them.

It truly was a cave; walking through, they saw various oddly shaped stalactites, which became more bizarre and beautiful the deeper they ventured.

"Sister, this place is so beautiful!" Xiaohuo pointed at the stalactites in a dark passage and exclaimed.

"Indeed very peculiar!" Dugu Qianye also marveled.

"Truly magical!" Hao Pengyou said, looking amazed.

As they continued further, Dugu Qianye noticed that the stalactites inside had all turned green, and were covered with green lichen-like plants.

Two hours had passed, and they still hadn’t reached the end.

"The space here is too small, otherwise, I would transform and carry you over." Xiaohuo complained.

Dugu Qianye was also getting tired and turned to Hao Pengyou, saying, "Let’s walk a bit more, and if we still haven’t reached the end by then, we’ll head back."

"Okay." Hao Pengyou said; he was indifferent, as he wasn’t particularly curious about it.

They walked inward for another half hour, and just when they were about to give up, the flower on the back of Dugu Qianye’s hand suddenly stood up and fully stretched open.

"Wow, that feels good!" Vine Emperor twirled its little flower and shouted happily.

"What’s wrong?" Dugu Qianye asked Vine Emperor.

"Master, I feel so comfortable! It feels like I’m about to fly!" the Vine Emperor said excitedly.

"Oh?"

"Really, master, there must be treasures inside! Let’s go over quickly and have a look." the Vine Emperor urged.

Dugu Qianye looked at Hao Pengyou, who seemed to have no objections, and they continued to move forward. The further they went, the more intense the Vine Emperor’s reactions became; it even began humming tunes to express its current feelings.

However, Dugu Qianye couldn’t make out what it was humming because she only heard one word.

"La la la, la la la, la la la la la..."

"Sister, look!"

Turning a sharp corner, Xiaohuo, who was leading, discovered a mass of green gas ahead, filling the entire cave, and called out to Dugu Qianye in surprise.

As Dugu Qianye turned the corner, she saw the scene ahead as well and held onto Vine Emperor, who was desperately trying to dash forward, saying, "Senior brother, do you know what this is?"

Hao Pengyou glanced at the green substance and said uncertainly, "This, perhaps I know."
