MILF Hunting in Underworld -
Chapter 199 - 199: Fu ting's struggle.
"Jia, do you have any ideas?" Li Na asked, her gaze filled with hope.
"Exactly! Volleyball originated from Sersphia."
"Surely, you know what to do in a moment like this, don't you?"
Xin Yi and Ying Yi joined in, looking at Zhu Jia with pleading expressions. They had already lost two sets, and one more loss would mean the end.
Zhang Yufei and Fu Ting also looked at her, clearly expecting some guidance.
"It's no use," Zhu Jia said, shaking her head with a helpless look.
"I've never played volleyball before. I'm as lost as you all," she added, wiping sweat from her face with a towel.
"Is that so?" The trio's spirits sank upon hearing her response.
"Are we really going to lose without winning a single set?" Ying Yi asked anxiously, hands on her head.
Zhu Jia and Zhang Yufei shared her frustration. They wanted to win just as much, but the blue team's defense was too strong. Xie Qingyi and Chen Miya weren't giving them any openings to score.
They spent most of the time on defense because their attacks were barely effective.
Fu Ting was the one scoring most of their points, fighting alone against the blue team's rock-solid defense.
'Damn it…' Fu Ting clenched her fists as she watched them struggle. 'They're giving it their all, so why am I like this?'
She couldn't shake the guilt of not matching their efforts. The thought of using her talent crossed her mind, but she quickly shook her head.
'Even after all this time, I still can't let go…' She lowered her head, covering her face with a towel, as memories of that incident flooded her mind.
The incident that had shaken the kingdom to its core, with her at the center of it all.

Fweet!
A few minutes later, Gu Mama blew the whistle, signaling the start of the game.
"And we're back!" Lin Yulan's voice echoed from the commentary box. "Will we see a comeback this time, or will it remain a one-sided match?"
"What do you think, Principal?" She paused, giving him a teasing smile, her fingers grazing over his arm.
Yang Chen took a moment before answering, his expression laced with disappointment as he glanced at the red team below.
"The red team is still missing something crucial for their victory," he said, his gaze lingering on Fu Ting through the window. "But, that's just my take."
"Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us," he added, though deep down, he already knows the game's outcome.
Fu Ting, who was preparing to serve, froze momentarily after hearing his words. It felt as if his comment was aimed at her.
Standing still, she could hear the encouraging cheers from the stands.
'Sorry, everyone, but… I just can't.' She tossed the ball into the air, preparing to serve, but just as she was about to strike, a loud cheer from the stands caught her off guard.
"Come on, Senior Fu! We believe in you!"
The shout made her flinch, and she missed her aim.
Baam!
The ball slammed against the floor, silencing the crowd's cheers as it landed out of bounds.
Fweet!
"Out of bounds! One point to the Blue team," Gu Mama announced, blowing her whistle and awarding a point to the Blue realm.
'What's going on with that girl?' She glanced at Fu Ting in confusion. This was the first time Fu Ting had missed a serve, and she seemed unusually off. Gu Mama wasn't the only one who noticed the change.
Across the court, Jin Roulan went to retrieve the ball and was about to call Chen Miya over but she noticed Miya staring at Fu Ting with a troubled expression.
"Miya, you're too soft," she said, patting her on the shoulder. "In a game, someone has to lose."
Chen Miya shook her head. "That's not it."
"Ting'er… don't you think she looks sad?" she asked, pointing her finger at Fu Ting on the opposite side.
Jin Roulan was taken aback after hearing her heads because Chen Miya was usually spot-on at these sorts of things.
"Maybe she just doesn't want to lose?" she said after a moment of thought.
"Really?" Chen Miya looked unconvinced.
"I'm not sure, but we can always ask her after the game, right?" Jin Roulan suggested, deciding to talk to Fu Ting later.

The game continued, but Fu Ting kept making mistakes, and in the end, the Red team lost both the set and the match.
Since it was a best-of-five format, the match ended once a team won three sets, so there was no need to play all five.
After the game, Fu Ting was nowhere to be found.
From the rooftop of the academy building, Yang Chen watched as Fu Ting ran off from the academy grounds.
"Yang Chen, shouldn't we go check on her?" Lin Yulan, standing beside him, asked with concern.
"If that would help, would I still be up here?" he replied with a smile.
"Then why did you ask me to come along?" Lin Yulan looked irritated by his casual attitude.
"What do you think about taking on a disciple?" Yang Chen asked, finally revealing his intent.
Lin Yulan was taken aback. "You mean you want me to take that girl as my disciple?"
"Haven't you sensed it already?" Yang Chen replied, copying her talent and coating his hand with divine energy. "Both of your talents are connected to divine energy."
"So, it only makes sense for you to teach her," he added, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
Lin Yulan looked at him skeptically. "Your proficiency with divine energy isn't much different from mine, though," she said, feeling he was hiding something from her.
As he said, she did feel the presence of divine energy in Fu Ting when they first met.
"…She also has a past similar to yours," he murmured after thinking for a moment.
With his words, silence settled between them until Lin Yulan finally sighed. Seeing this, Yang Chen felt a sense of relief.
"You owe me for this," she said, before leaping into the air and disappearing from the rooftop.
'She's surprisingly demanding,' Yang Chen thought with a wry smile. 'Even after I found her a talented disciple, I still owe her?'
To tell the truth, Yang Chen wasn't entirely certain about what Fu Ting had gone through in the past.
From his observations, he could see that Fu Ting was dealing with some kind of trauma and added with the fact that her mother's physique had been devoured by someone, it should have been a significant incident that drew the attention of law enforcement officers.
Yet, there were no records of it at all!
Unless someone had erased all the files, this wouldn't be possible.
"Now that out of the way, should i go enjoy my date?" Yang chen said with a smile before disappearing from the rooftop.
Well, It wasn't exactly a date.
He had already informed Yao mei to take care of things in the academy. With Sun linhua, Hu Xinran and Gu mama by her, She shouldn't have a hard time.
Just as he disappeared from the rooftop, a large clouds landed on it and sitting on top of the clouds were Chen Miya and Jin Roulan.
"Roulan, Where did Ting'er run off to?" Chen Miya asked with a worried face. "She disappeared after the game, and I can't shake this feeling that something is wrong"
"I know. That's why we need to find her." Jin Roulan said while checking the area. "we can't just leave her alone"
Jin Roulan clenched her fists in frustration. If she had checked up on Fu ting right after hearing Chen Miya's words. This wouldn't have happened at all.
Fu Ting had helped her numerous times, and part of the reason she had become a top student among the second year students was thanks to her.
It wasn't just Jin Roulan who received help from Fu ting.
Chen Miya owed more to Fu ting because Fu ting had saved her from a dangerous incident in the past.
At that time, only two weeks passed since Chen Miya joined the academy.
If Fu ting hadn't intervened, She would have become a target of bulling.
That was when she met Fu ting and Jin Roulan for the first time and it was also one of the instances where Fu ting used her talent!
