Melting Her Cold Heart -
Chapter 42. Help!
Chapter 42: 42. Help!
At the Crawfords,
Adam returned home in a foul mood. He had planned to visit Alex and seek his help or at least convince to stop supporting Sara, but he received an emergency call from his father, and he sounded pissed. For the sake of honoring his father’s summons, he returned to the main household of the Crawfords.
And now, he wished he didn’t.
"I hate you, Brother," Olivia said, staring at him with all the hatred that she could muster in fused into one intense glare. Her resolved shook when Adam stared coldly at her, but when she realized that that was all he could do, she stood her ground.
"You ruined everything. Because of you, people point fingers at me at school. Do you know how hi2 embarrassing it is for me?" She lamented, but Adam couldn’t care less.
His gaze shifted to his father, who had only been looking at him the whole time without uttering a word. He didn’t even scold or reprimand him. All he did was stare at him as if he couldn’t believe the man he was looking was his son.
While Lily just silently sobbed ans for some reason, Adam felt it was for more than one reason. She looked miserably heartbroken. The glare she sometimes throws at Dominic proved his assumptions right.
"How could allow that to happen? I know ow thay whore must be..." Olivia continued but was rudely silenced by Adam who had had enough of her ranting for the night.
"BE QUIET," Adam commanded coldly. "I dont want ti hesr another word from you," he then turned to Dominic his anger still bubbling. "Father, i have a lot to do and you keep9ng me here isn’t helping g at all. If you have something to say, then say it. If not, then I am leaving."
Adam stood up and was ready to leave when Dominic finally spoke, halting his step mid-motion.
"I am very disappointed in you, Adam," were the first words Dominic said, and although they didn’t surprise him, they still stung. "I thought after Sara canceled your engagement, you would repent og you ways, but you didn’t. And now this."
"Father..." Adam wanted to speak, but Dominic did not give the opportunity.
"Ypur grandfather said if you can’t fix this within 24 hours, you will be suspended indefinitely and effective immediately. Half of that time is already gone, Adam. You know what this means," Dominic clenched his fists. If only Adam was still a child that could be disciplined, then he wouldn’t have hesitated to list punishment on him. "I will advice you to focus on that. At least find out who is behind the scandal."
"There is no need to keep searching. It’s Sara," Adam said without a doubt in his words and his words took everyone by surprise.
"Wha did you say?" Olivia asked. Even Lily stopped crying and stared wide eyes at her son. The accusation made snese but at the sane time, it didn’t because the knew what kind of person Sara was.
Adam proceeeded to leave to leave without responding to Olivia’s question or any other that was asked. It was Dominic had said, he didny have much time left. He went to his car, and without waiting for the driving, he drove off himself heading for Alex’s villa.

"Is everything alright?" He sounded worried but she didny pay attention to that as he own worries overshadowed all else.

As she spoke, she rushed into the closet and locked herself in.
"Please hurry," she said again.
"Where are you," she heard hom and she could also hear his his hurried steps ans knew he was already on the move. He didny even ask what was wrong and he was already coming.
