Chapter 315: Flashback - 55

Silas’s POV

And just then, there was a knock on the door. Hearing that, I flinched and glanced back. Before wasting any time, I wore my clothes properly while sitting on Theron’s lap.

I quickly covered Theron’s mouth because I thought he would say something or make a noise. Even though my hand was small compared to his, I still covered his mouth. And just then, we heard:

"Theron and Silas, I know you both are inside, so open the door. You both are out. Your pheromones are leaking out."

I really thought he wouldn’t be able to find us, but when he said the pheromones were leaking out—man, it was so obvious. Why did we get intimate in this type of game in the first place? If Theron and I didn’t get intimate, then Meyer wouldn’t have been able to find us.

Shit! I’ll lose the game. But still, like a mature person, we will have to accept our loss. That’s why I get off Theron’s lap and open the door. Meyer was standing there, and beside him, Orian and Kael were standing.

"Wait, what are you both doing inside the room? And why was the door locked in the first place?" Kael asked.

Man, why is this happening to me? First time I kiss someone, and here, everyone will know through my expression. That’s why I quickly look down so they can’t see me blushing.

"What? We were just hiding here. Why are we reacting, Kael?" I dash out from that room because I didn’t want to answer more questions. As I leave, I go out from the palace, come into the yard, and notice Damon was standing there near the tree. I take my steps toward him.

"Damon, what are you doing here? Don’t tell me you didn’t hide anywhere?"

"I’m not good at this game. That’s why Meyer caught me first. I’m going to search for all of you in the next round after he finds everyone else now."

"But you hid very well. You seem to be enjoying this game... Can I ask, why is your face so red right now? And why are Theron’s pheromones on your body?"

He caught me off guard when he asked that. "Me and Theron were hiding in the same place. I think that’s why his pheromones must have rubbed on me," I said.

Hearing me, Damon takes a step ahead and touches my head. My eyes were fixed on him, and his full attention was on me too.

"If you look at me like this, I’m going to feel embarrassed, Damon." His gaze is something that makes me shy, and it’s real. Like, my heart starts to beat very fast when his eyes are on me. It feels like he’s even staring at me through my skin.

"Sorry about that. I won’t stare at you like this anymore. And are you done with playing, or do you want to play again?"

"I’m not done yet. I want to play more. I want to play until none of you, none of you, are able to find me."

Earlier, I was such a confidence in this game. But when it started, the beginning was very bad. But the ending is going to be superb, I know.

After that, we played for an hour, and while playing, we were finding each other, and someone was losing, someone was winning—and then, I won. I was so proud as I won. I was feeling like, yes, I’ve won life. I’m the only one who can win this game.

Even if everyone was very good at this game, still, they didn’t react like this even when they won. But when I won—because they were unable to find me—that means I am the great person who can hide, and no one can find me.

"I think we should stop now. I don’t want to play anymore," I said.

"Silas, you’re kidding, right? Just because you won, now you want everyone to stop playing this game? I haven’t even won once. That’s why I want to play more until I win," Meyer said. Hearing him, everyone exchanged glances. It seems Meyer hasn’t even won once. That’s why we decided to play again.

But as time was passing, we realized that Meyer is really the worst in this game. He doesn’t know where to hide. When I was counting while standing in front of the tree, Meyer was hiding behind that same tree—like I can’t see him. But he was so big that I couldn’t help but notice.

The way he was playing, it was sure that he is not going to win in this life. So what we were doing was a waste of time.

"Guys, let’s continue this game tomorrow. Let’s just go and take a rest now."

I suggested it, because this was the only way to stop the game in the middle. And fortunately, everyone agreed—including Meyer, because he was also tired.

As everyone nodded, I quickly turned around to leave from there. Orian was also tired. He hugged my arm, and he and I started walking. Suddenly... Lysander came and stood beside me. While walking, he joined his hand with mine.

I quickly looked at him as he did that. But since Orian was also beside me, that’s why I took my hand back from him.

"No need to hold hands right now. I can walk. I’m fine like this."

Lysander’s face dropped, hearing this. I didn’t mean to hurt him. I was just telling him that we shouldn’t hold hands right now—that’s because of Orian.

But since Orian was here, I didn’t say that out loud. I thought Lysander would undoubtedly understand this, but seeing his reaction, one thing is sure—Lysander doesn’t understand anything I say.

"Do you hate me now, Silas? That’s why you don’t even want to hold my hand?"

"No—no, Lysander. Why would I feel like this? It’s just that we are outside now, so it would be better if we hold hands when we both are alone."
