Chapter 144: Lupin pack - 39

Chapter 144: Lupin pack - 39

Silas’s POV

When we glanced out of the ship, we saw many soldiers spreading gas everywhere. They were holding big spray machines, dispersing it like a mist.

Seeing them, I finally took a deep breath and sighed in relief. We both came out of the ship, but as soon as the soldiers saw us, they stepped back and pointed their weapons at us.

"Hey, who are you two? And where did you come from?"

Hearing the soldier’s question, one thing came to mind — the Lupin pack doesn’t know Damon yet, so they can’t recognize him.

They started looking closely at his face, but they didn’t recognised him.

But at the time our ambulance had an accident, and the soldiers saw damon they immediately called him "Your Highness," as if they knew him.

And in reality, only their king knows Damon, not the all soldiers or pack mambers.

"We are survivors. Can I borrow your phone? I want to call my family," Damon suddenly asked.

The soldier hesitated for a moment but eventually handed over his phone.

"Is the signal back?" Damon asked while dialing the number.

"Yeah," the soldier replied.

Thank God, the signal is back. That means everything is going fine, but what are they spreading around?

When I asked, I found out that they had discovered an antidote to the virus. They guessed that it would make the infected wolves shift back into their human forms, curing them.

One of the new scientists had developed this antidote — it’s truly impressive. Because of that scientist, everyone will be fine.

I think the license of the scientist who caused this mess by experimenting and turning normal people into zombie-like creatures will be revoked.

When Damon made the call, he stepped away to talk privately. I guessed he couldn’t speak openly in front of the soldiers, so I stayed there, facing them.

As he spoke, I noticed how much had changed overnight. Once they found the antidote gas, they began spreading it worldwide — through helicopters, choppers, cars, and even on foot.

They knew that once the wolves inhaled the antidote, they would revert to their human forms and no longer pose a threat.

I was scared, hoping everything would go well and praying that Shine was safe. Since the moment those four took me to the ambulance, I hadn’t seen Shine.

I wished he was unharmed because if it weren’t for me, he wouldn’t have needed to be here.

I wondered what was happening back at the blood fang pack. How would my fans react to my sudden disappearance?

Would anyone care if I just vanished? And what about Damon — would he still insist I stay here for the next three months? I was still confused and worried.

As I stood there, Damon finished his call and handed the phone back to the soldier, thanking him. When he glanced at me with a smile and grabbed my hand, memories of last night flooded back, and my heart began to race. I quickly looked away.

"What’s going on? Why do you look so flustered? Did you get sunburned?"

Sunburn? How could I get sunburned in winter?

"Nothing. Where are the others? They’re safe, right?"

"Of course, they’re safe. Don’t worry about them."

After that, we were taken to the place where all the survivors were staying. When we arrived, I saw Damon’s brothers there, and even my manager, Shine, was present. Just as we began to settle in, I suddenly heard...

"Mumma!"

I turned toward the voice and saw Velric running toward me, tears streaming down his face. I quickly squatted down and hugged him tightly, relieved to see him safe and sound.

"Are you okay? You’re not hurt, right?"

"No, Mumma, I’m totally fine! But what happened to your lips? They look hurt."

As soon as Velric mentioned my lips, memories of last night’s kiss resurfaced. Wait — are my lips that swollen just from a kiss? I didn’t know that could happen since I’d never kissed anyone before last night.

"Yes, Silas, what happened to your lips?"

Lysander approached, glancing between me and Damon’s lips.

"Did you two kiss? Both of your lips are swollen."

"NO! Of course not! We didn’t kiss at all! How could we?"

I quickly turned to Damon, who stood behind me, his expression unreadable. I silently prayed he wouldn’t open his mouth and reveal the truth.

"Mr. Damon, why don’t you clarify if you kissed Silas or not?"

Why was Lysander asking Damon that? Damon would definitely spill the truth! Just as he was about to speak, I quickly stood up.

"Damon!"

Everyone’s attention turned to me.

"Damon??... You’re talking informally with my brother now?" Kael said

It took me a moment to realize I had been speaking informally to him since last night. He hadn’t said anything, so I didn’t notice. But there’s nothing wrong with talking informally if the other person doesn’t mind.

"Excuse me, if your brother isn’t complaining about me being informal, then why are you butting in?"

"What did you say?"

"What, you can’t hear now? Well, I guess that could be possible because after hearing your own voice, anything could happen," I stated.

"You’re forgetting your place. Just because my brother is being nice to you, you think you’re on our level now?"

"Oh, really? I think you’re forgetting something — it’s me who’s talking nicely to you. Otherwise, my hands do a lot of talking. Want to hear them out?"

Just then, our car arrived to take us to the airport. Damon had also sent someone to bring our luggage from the villa.

Shine arrived with the soldiers, and just like that, we got on their private jet to return to our pack.

Damon had canceled my three-month vacation, and I decided to take Velric with me too. Surprisingly, Damon didn’t say anything; instead, he seemed genuinely happy.

Seeing a smile on Damon’s face was really something new for me because I had never seen him smile before. Well he looks good while smiling though.
