Chapter 2555 2555: 2555. Splitting The Mind

Knowing that the quest he was working on was becoming all the more true to what he'd been asked to do, Walker understood more of the dangers that they could face.

The space mana between the world and the elemental planes was not as separated as he had believed that it was. The chaotic mana in between might be the cause of some trouble here and there but it was also clear that the elemental planes could directly sense and influence the world to some degree now.

That was if there were those with the strength and intelligence to influence the world. The naturally occurring elemental runes had a potent and a uniquely specific form of whatever mana they were born from. Meaning that they put pressure on space mana and could allow for their mana to seep through in to the chaotic manas.

Where that mana stood out was where the elemental planes was able to get a focused connection. Chaotic mana and the mana of the world which was calm were very clearly different. Even those without any ability to sense and utilize elemental manas would be able to see that.

Meaning that if someone had enough strength they could pull at that naturally occurring mana and try to drag it to them. They would not be manipulating space mana at all. The space mana was already under pressure and that was what caused this incident and potentially more of Walker didn't do anything about it.

What he had to do was strengthen the bridges to the elemental planes.

The reason that it was so easy to make these connections were the issues with the space mana. And if the bridges to the elemental planes weren not releasing the manas and absorbing manas in fair trade as the world did, then more and more pressure would be there. The small breaks that allowed chaotic mana and unbalanced manas through in different places would continue.

The ability to use life, death, and natural mana to enhance and balance the elemental planes he pulled in to the world was a countermeasure. It wasn't a requirement to accomplish the quest link but a way to handle things while he was working to accomplish it.

If he didn't move fast enough more and more breaks would either bring connections with chaotic manas or with partially formed elemental planes. Basically, the weight on his shoulders would only grow as he moved slower. He needed to replenish his mana faster and the best way for that would to be getting closer to the bridges to the elemental planes.

The had the manas that he needed and they would be needed to balance the planes themselves, so the best bet would be to prepare there rather than sit in any place that was generally out in nature or away from the cities and kingdoms.

The blizzard elemental was a new being that he did not expect to meet or have to handle. It was proof that some beings would be coming here whether they even knew themselves or not. He was sure that there had been no way that the true sages or even the elemental rulers would know of these things.

Meaning even more so that they would not be able to help with these sorts of issues. They would still be expecting that if they had a race about to perish they might be able to reach out for help. Something that was all the more possible the longer that time went on.

The origin beings should be adding more and more elemental planes to grow every single elemental plane. That meant that the borders between them would also grow and the world would be under more pressure. The denser mana s as the elemental planes shifted would be harsh on the world and that was why this quest must have appeared in general. The world wanted him to prepare and existence itself was most likely also playing a hand in this.

Stepping in to the air with what mana Walker could use right now, he began moving rapidly. Using the manas in the surroundings was not new to him. This was something that Walker had learned some time ago and he was also able to absorb that mana and use it as his own. It was just not the same.

The level of control he would have over that mana was not as high and would be a larger challenge that what others might find. It would weigh on his mind even more which was an issue since he had used almost all of his mental strength just using multiple manas of unique form to enhance and grow the blizzard elemental plane that was becoming part of the world.

Right now he would need to focus on the space mana and even that felt like he was asking for a massive headache and to pass out. This was an issue he hadn't expected and wondered if he could have trained better. But how was it that he would have brought his mental strength higher and higher other than doing what he had been doing the whole time?

Walker had been meditating and training his mind consistently since he had gained his strength. He'd pursued magic since it was something he found amazing. Many people wished they would have some magical skills and even some ability to use magic in any form or fashion.

Yet, as Walker was allowing his thoughts to split between rushing to the next bridge to the elemental planes and also thinking about solutions to his mental problems, he realized he already had the. He had skills for multitasking and even for memorizing and storing his memories to be seen at a moment's notice. He even constantly used the all around appraisal since it had been a habit further splitting his mind and concentration.

When he fully focused on something he always found that he was able to do it, even just now with the blizzard elemental plane he had managed to focus just on that and achieve his goal.

He had not realized that this entire time he had made massive advancements in utilizing his own strengths due to splitting his focus on them over and over. He even realized that the true sages must do something similar since they would split themselves between various golem bodies when they wanted to travel to the world or handle other issues throughout the entirety of an elemental plane.

Meaning that the more he and they had done so they were all training mental strength. If he wanted to handle these bridges, he needed to use these skills properly. Focus himself on different tasks coming together for the greater while not focusing on unimportant aspects of what he was doing.

"One focuses on absorbing and using ambient mana, another for life, death, and natrual manas coming together, and another on space." As Walker mumbled his process, he understood that it is more than just plausible. He could manage this much better the more that he processed the amount of time and energy he would need.

While many would find this an impossible task, Walker knew very well that he had already done this over and over. He was even doing it now as he sped through the next elemental rune teleportation formation and found himself on the island with the first bridge to the elemental planes he had been to.

He felt the manas flowing with higher density the moment he stepped through and took a moment to split his focus. He was already walking through the air and felt that the bridge was almost waiting for him. He knew that space mana connected the bridges and that they would most likely adjust slightly while he altered some here and there.

Where he also felt a change was that there was a greater amount of dark mana flowing through this bridge meaning that it was connected to the dark elemental plane. Not that this was a problem at all.

After just a few seconds of thought, Walker pulled at the space mana and made a connection with the bridge. It responded to him and seemed stubborn just as all space mana was naturally. However, he was easily able to begin shaping it as his different thought processes started to manipulate manas around the area too.

His mind was splitting itself to multitask but also working together. If anyone were to read Walker's mind then they would find it was like being in a crowded room. A lot going on at once but also a lot of team work and communication. He has split his mind and managed to begin moving manas as if he was a team rather than just one person.
