Master Bai! This Celestial Fox Spirit Is Asking For Divorce
Chapter 238: Episode 22.1 End Of A Long Day

Chapter 238: Episode 22.1 End Of A Long Day

Being a beast personally tamed by his father-in-law, Mammy Yin has Shen Yuan’s complete trust that it will never flash its fangs against Yanyan.

Didn’t it act as Yanyan’s guardian when the Cardinals attacked them?

Mammy Yin, although a beast, showed compassion and intelligence that instantly won Shen Yuan’s favor.

However, the same couldn’t be said for the mutated giant panda.

It was nothing but a typical wild animal a day ago. There’s no guarantee that it will behave well behind their backs.

"Yanyan..." Bai Tingfeng called his son, and his face was unreadable.

Shen Yuan carefully studied the man’s expression and concluded. They share the same apprehension. They both agree that it is still too early for Yanyan to be left alone with the animals.

Or so he thought.

Bai Tingfeng asked Yanyan, "Are you sure? After a long time of sleeping with your parents, you might find it hard to sleep alone. What if you suddenly missed us in the middle of the night? Are you going to disturb our slumber so that you could sleep together with us?"

"Oy..." Shen Yuan looked as if a glass of cold water was splashed on his face.

What on earth is Bai Tingfeng talking about now? Wasn’t he supposed to veto Yanyan’s idea?

"Our son is growing fast. We should teach him how to become independent in some things at an early age," Bai Tingfeng explained.

"Are you sure that is the only reason?" Shen Yuan asked the question that was dangling in the deepest pits of his heart.

Bai Tingfeng is exceptionally supportive of Yanyan’s proposal. It’s hard for him not to have suspicions.

"What other reasons do you have in mind, Yuan?" Bai Tingfeng asked lightly, but in looking at his eyes, Shen Yuan could see what the bastard was hinting at.

The celestial fox spirit didn’t answer and instead focused on his son. Although deep inside, his chrysanthemum is already tingling with excitement.

Yanyan, who is too young to understand the undercurrents that have been happening between his parents, answered fast.

"No. I will not. Although I know Daddy and Papa will be willing to open your doors for me, Yanyan doesn’t have the heart to disturb your rest. I love you both and wish for the two of you to stay healthy, so I wouldn’t dare interrupt your much-needed sleep."

"Yanyan!" The celestial fox spirit’s eyes turned into a heart shape. "How could you be so cute and sensible at the same time!"

Shen Yuan couldn’t control himself and grabbed his son to smother him with kisses.

Yanyan giggled.

Meanwhile, Bai Tingfeng’s heart is also full of happiness. He’s got a fantastic omega for a husband and a filial son. Can he ask for more? He’s probably the luckiest alpha on the planet now.

Bai Tingfeng joyfully messed up his son’s hair and whispered, "I love you."

There’s no need to clarify to whom he is saying those words. It’s automatically directed to the two people before him.

Drunk in endorphins, Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng made quick arrangements.

Bai Tingfeng asked someone to clean their son’s room. At the same time, Shen Yuan prepared Yanyan’s panda.

There’s no way in hell he will let a dirty panda sleep beside his son. He personally prepared a tub full of warm water for the panda.

"Foxfire beasts," he summoned the six wandering little cubs in the bathroom.

The big panda, who is still afraid of Shen Yuan, was sitting timidly beside the bathtub. Its big ass jumped when five little flaming foxes materialized in the air.

"Can you communicate with this big fellow here?" He asked the five.

As a fox spirit, Suki initially has the ability to communicate with animals. However, he lost that power once he ascended to become a celestial fox.

You see, rising to become a nine-tailed fox isn’t just about getting extraordinary powers and abilities. One undergoes a series of tribulations, and to break through, sacrifice is inevitable.

And in his case, he sacrificed the ability to communicate with animals.

Shen Yuan never regretted his decision, even now when he needed it. He got these foxfire beasts who could act as his interpreter.

"Ack-ack-woo!" The five sang together, which directly translates, "This cute fatty seemed to be a bit smart. Therefore, we can."

"Great!" Shen Yuan clapped and went straight to the point. "Tell him that from now on, we will provide him with a home and food as much as he likes. The only thing that I ask him is never to hurt my son. Because if he dared..."

Shen Yuan showed his palm in front of the panda, and a robust blue fire suddenly roared, startling the panda.

The foxfire beasts share the same brain cells when it comes to intimidation.

Like the master, the foxfire beasts strengthened the fire in their bodies and, in excellent synchronization, acted like little overlords.

The little foxes even turned the lights off to further their intimidation. The foxfire beast is quite well-learned in the ways of the villains.

"Ack-ack-ack-ack-wooo-ack!"

"Hihihi!"

Quirky sounds of foxes echoed inside the thick walls of the bathroom, and the whimper of the panda was heard every now and then. The cold atmosphere made the sounds creepier than it already is.

However, Shen Yuan, who was watching this from the side, had a dead expression.

Damn, he didn’t teach them these theatrics.

Once Shen Yuan saw that the panda’s eyes turned glassy, he flicked the light switch on and put a stop to the ensuing madness.

He picked the panda up as if it were just a massive stuffed toy and gently placed the bear in the bathtub.

"You did more than a good job. You guys can go now," Shen Yuan told the foxfire beast and recalled them back to his tails.

He didn’t allow the foxfire beasts to argue for more time to roam the house.

Shen Yuan silently bathed the panda, and as if to prove that the "convincing" worked, the giant panda was oddly cooperative with him.

When he raises the panda’s arm, it will hang its arm high. Obviously, it became subservient to him now that it knew what he wanted and what goods would be given once it behaved well.

Being a fox spirit, Shen Yuan doesn’t want to see wild animals lose their edge, but he guessed that for this panda, the ferocity in its blood is close to zero.

"If you landed on the care of a normal human, then they will probably raise you into a domesticated wastrel. But your luck is good because you met me. I will pound some fierceness in your thick muscles in the future. That way, Yanyan will not just have a pet but a guardian too!"

"Ahhhh. Ahhh," the panda made some noises.

’Can’t understand anything. But feeling bad!’

The giant bear looked at Shen Yuan with lingering fear and suspicion. However, that look only lasted for a fleeting moment as suddenly; the omega poured something into the tub.

"Don’t be a scaredy cat. That’s just a healing potion. You should be thankful. That’s a high-grade one. It’s incredibly precious than the ones that have been used on you when you’re still in the villa," Shen Yuan told the animal despite the apparent difficulty in communication.

It doesn’t matter though. Action speaks louder than words, anyway. It didn’t take long until the panda felt what he meant.

The mutated giant panda felt its wounds and bruises healing at fast speed.

In its head, it told itself, "Those five God foxes are correct! If I don’t fight, then this strong human who’s actually a god will bless me!"

The mutated giant panda thought that maybe— just maybe— luck was finally on its side.

Shen Yuan didn’t know that thanks to the theatrical performance staged by his sly foxfire beasts, a helpful misunderstanding sprouted in the panda’s mind.

"Good night, Yanyan," Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng kissed their son on the forehead before they left the bedroom.

Yanyan’s room is the usual bedroom that is commonly seen on TV. Full of stuffed toys and posters from his favorite cartoon. However, at this moment, two giant beasts are lying on the spaces on both sides of the bed.

"Good night, Papa. Good night, Daddy," Yanyan greeted back.

Shen Yuan thought that with the furry animals around him, the child would be too excited to sleep. Thankfully, the battery of the energetic child ran out of juice the moment he lay on the bed.

The couple each gave the beasts a look before they retreated from their son’s room.

"What kind of magic did you use on the panda? He seemed to be more tamed now," Bai Tingfeng immediately asked once he closed the door.

Shen Yuan shrugged his shoulders, "Just your typical carrot-and-stick method."

’Featuring cheeky foxfire beasts,’ he silently added at the back of his head.

"Oh, I see," Bai Tingfeng responded, sounding like he was pulling his breath from somewhere.

The celestial fox spirit looked at the man and didn’t drop any follow-up comments. He’s just looking at the man’s eyes, silently waiting and unwittingly building the tension between them.

"This will be our first, right?" Bai Tingfeng asked in a deep and husky voice.

"Yeah..." Tonight marks their first time sleeping in their bed with just the two of them.
