Shen Yuan’s magic formed into a dome and burned mercilessly without showing any signs of dying down.

Well, that effect is to be expected since he used quite a lot of mana and mental strength to do that.

Merging magic isn’t easy especially if the caster wants to retain the properties of the magic. Each magic must be fueled with an equal amount of mana so that they wouldn’t cancel or overpower each other. Only mages with superhuman mana sensitivity could achieve such precision.

The injured assassin’s half-body was sprouting out of a floating mirror, his only hand was holding Cardinal Rin firmly.

Shen Yuan conjured a ball of foxfire but before he could send it flying to the two, the assassin suddenly said.

"Your husband and son are rushing here as we speak. If you’re really concerned about their safety, then you will let us go."

"Huh?" Shen Yuan looked at the assassin, looking incredulous. "Since when did, the losers are allowed to spit useless threats? You better watch your mouth, or I will take your tongue also."

"This isn’t just a threat, Yuan because..." The assassin spoke unhurriedly to Shen Yuan and dropped the bomb causing Shen Yuan to take a step back.
