Chapter 227: Hit Hard!
Chapter 227: Chapter 227: Hit Hard!
Boom!!!
Mara slashed out again, and the force behind the strike was several times stronger than before.
It was as if infinite power had suddenly erupted.
"It’s embarrassing to use this little strength. Let’s see how I kill you!"
Finn’s eyes were steely, unflinching. He brandished the silver spear in his hand again, unleashing wave after wave of energy, and charged at his opponent.
Factiong!!!
The two weapons collided violently, throwing off sparks with each impact.
"Get back!"
Finn snarled coldly, the power surging within his body erupting in a violent burst that sent Mara flying backward.
Mara staggered, struggling to keep his balance as his footing faltered.
"Hahaha... Boy, I didn’t expect you to hide your strength. So, you came here looking to die? Fine. Let me help you."
Mara’s twisted grin deepened, a sinister aura oozing from his body as the surrounding temperature plummeted like a sudden plunge into an arctic abyss.
His form dispersed into a cloud of black mist and vanished.
When he reappeared, he was already in front of Finn.
"Die!!!"
Mara hissed, venom in his voice. He gripped the saber with both hands and slashed downward.
A jet-black arc of energy descended from above with pure destructive power.
It carried an overwhelming killing intent and an unholy aura meant to obliterate Finn entirely.
"Break!!!"
Finn’s expression was ice cold. His lips parted as he calmly uttered the word, like a battle-hardened god of war.
He thrust forward with both hands, smashing the demonic slash apart with a crack of his spear.
He followed up with a sweeping assault, the spear slicing through the air, each swing carrying devastating force.
In that instant, Finn unleashed the full extent of his power.
Every spell he had ever mastered surged to the surface. The spear shadows filled the sky, completely engulfing Mara.
They were so densely packed, so relentless, it was impossible to distinguish one from another.
"Die!!!"
Mara roared, igniting with black infernal flames. A monstrous pressure burst from him.
He looked like a demon pulled from the depths of the Dark Dimension, his very body overflowing with twisted magical energy.
With a snarl, he swung his saber into the wall of spear shadows.
BOOM!!
Thunder cracked violently.
Waves of energy exploded outward.
The surrounding mountains, trees, and earth were obliterated in a single breath.
Total devastation.
Pedal pedal!!!
Finn was flung backward repeatedly, blood trailing from the corners of his mouth.
He trembled, pale and unstable.
Mara was incredibly powerful—arguably more dangerous than Mephisto himself or the Demon Kings Finn had encountered before.
Especially troubling was the nature of Mara’s power—pure evil magic. Dark matter and demonic energy that twisted and corroded.
In that last exchange, Finn had clearly been overwhelmed and severely injured.
"Human boy, you’re still far beneath me!!!"
Mara stood tall, gazing down at Finn with contempt.
His body radiated thick demonic energy like armor.
He was like a demon-lord of the Lower Realms—bloodthirsty, merciless, and utterly terrifying.
"Really? Then keep playing!!!"
Finn wiped the blood from his mouth, a cold smirk curling on his lips.
Then, like lightning, he launched himself at Mara—so fast he was nearly invisible.
"Not good!!!"
Mara’s pupils contracted. His expression darkened.
He felt it—an overwhelming sense of danger. A death premonition.
Swish!!!
In a blink, Finn was right in front of him, the spear in his hands slicing downward.
The power behind this strike was greater than anything he’d unleashed before. Destructive, devastating, absolute.
"Die!!!"
The cold light in Finn’s eyes intensified. The pressure around him grew, trembling the very air, threatening to collapse the space itself.
Boom!!!
Mara threw a punch to block it.
BOOM!!!
Finn was thrown back violently. His chest ached, breath ragged and shallow.
But Mara wasn’t left unscathed.
He, too, trembled from the impact.
Psst!!!
Mara coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Still, he remained standing. Barely.
Despite being severely injured, Mara’s demonic physique—a characteristic of his race—kept him upright.
"You’re dead!!!"
Mara growled, eyes brimming with fury.
BOOM!!!
With a roar, he vanished and reappeared before Finn in a split second.
He raised his leg and kicked out with a devastating whip strike.
The air split as the wind screamed from the power of the kick.
If it landed, Finn would be wrecked.
BOOM!!!
Golden light flared, intercepting Mara’s strike.
Finn scrambled to his feet, gripping the spear tightly. He thrust forward, targeting Mara’s midsection.
The weapon glowed with intense arcane energy, piercing through space toward Mara’s heart.
This was a lethal strike.
"Get out!!!"
Mara bellowed, meeting the attack head-on with his fist.
BOOM!!!
The resulting explosion rocked the battlefield.
Energy waves spread like a storm.
Finn was blasted back, groaning as he stumbled.
Mara slid back ten meters, his body trembling.
"Boy! Today, you’ll understand just how powerful a demon of my caliber truly is!!!"
Mara’s voice grew more maniacal, eyes glowing red.
He summoned the magical energy within his body and funneled it directly into his blade.
The saber pulsed violently, its power multiplying.
The very air around them became restless, warped by the intensity.
Mara’s blade gleamed with a deadly glow.
He roared and slashed toward Finn.
BOOM!!!
It was like thunder splitting the sky.
The atmosphere itself felt as if it had cracked.
Mara’s power now exceeded natural law. His slash could tear through the very fabric of reality.
"The next strike, you won’t survive."
Mara’s tone was deathly calm now, in stark contrast to his earlier fury.
There was no longer any need for theatrics.
The aura from his body expanded—quiet, cold, and consuming.
The world around them turned black. Shadows devoured light.
Thunder rolled overhead.
It felt like the apocalypse had come.
"Hm?"
Finn’s eyes narrowed.
He could feel it—the deadly aura creeping toward him like frostbite. Sharp, clear, and merciless.
It was unmistakable: if he didn’t act now, he’d die.
No time to hesitate.
He gripped the spear tighter, twisted his body, and launched himself forward into the darkness.
