Chapter 6290: Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragon vs. True Dragon
The red-haired woman held a seemingly endless shackle that was coiled around the flood dragon, holding it in place and rendering its struggles futile.
The flood dragon had long noticed the red-haired woman, but it initially didn’t see her as a threat. It was only when the red-haired woman casually blocked its attack that it realized she was more dangerous than it had thought.
That was why its humongous sun-like eyes reflected not ferocity but a pleading gaze.
“May I know who you are? Why are you making a move against me when there’s no grudge between us?” the flood dragon asked.
Its powerful voice shook the world. Even Chu Feng and the others, despite standing a far distance away, felt their eardrums on the verge of being popped.
And that was the flood dragon lowering its tone as a sign of submission.
“No grudge between us? You tried to capture those juniors; among them are my little brother and little sister. Yet, you’re feigning innocence now?” the red-haired woman questioned.
“Milord, the ignorant should not be held guilty, and your little brother and little sister have not been harmed. I’ll compensate you with treasures, so please have mercy on me.”
One of the flood dragon’s scales opened up, and several Cosmos Sacks harnessing the Ancient Era’s aura flew out.
These Cosmos Sacks fell into the red-haired woman’s hands, and she didn’t hesitate to stow them away. This brought a glimmer of hope to the flood dragon’s eyes.
It thought that her acceptance signalled room for reconciliation. The treasures in its Cosmos Sacks were overflowing with sincerity, after all.
But what the red-haired woman said next quelled its hope.
“Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragon. That’s a lineage descending from the Immemorial Era. It boasts the strongest flood dragon bloodline, but the race is fixated on metamorphosizing into dragons.
“There are rumors that a Concealment Flood Dragon in the Immemorial era metamorphosized into a dragon and rose above the true dragons, forcing true dragons to bow in submission to it. That was often thought to be the reason true dragons often capture Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragons before they metamorphosize lest another threat is born.
“However, there’s another rumor that the flesh, blood, and soul of Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragons are incredible tonics for true dragons when they are morphed as flood dragons, prompting the true dragons to capture and rear Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragons as livestock.
“However, the Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragons are named after their ability to conceal themselves thoroughly. Even true dragons can’t find them until they reveal themselves, making it hard for them to capture a Concealment Flood Dragon.
“There was a Concealment Flood Dragon in the Ancient Era who was a step from metamorphosizing into a true dragon, but it was lacking an impetus. It searched far and wide but to no avail. Later, it learned about an alternative way to enter the Heavenly Sacred Temple, a place filled with countless fortuitous encounters. This led it to turn its focus toward acquiring Heavenly Temple Aura.
“Unfortunately, it couldn’t earn the recognition of the Heavenly Sacred Temple, so it turned to plundering the Heavenly Temple Aura from others. It camped outside remnants that bestowed the Heavenly Temple Aura and waited for successful challengers to emerge, so that it could claim the Heavenly Temple Aura for itself,” the red-haired woman looked at the flood dragon as she spoke.
The flood dragon looked horrified. It roared in anger, “Who are you?!”
“I came here not for the Heavenly Temple Aura but for you. The rumors are true; the Immemorial Concealment Flood Dragons are rich tonic for true dragons. I am in a weakened state, so I’ll be devouring your blood, flesh, and soul today to hasten my recovery,” the red-haired woman calmly explained.
There was a tinge of excitement in her voice.
“You are a true dragon!!!” the flood dragon roared.
Aside from the palace related to the Heavenly Sacred Temple, the boundless mountain range split apart, causing everything to collapse inward. Everything turned dark.
Only the palace floated amid the void, unfazed by everything.
“Strong!”
Chu Feng and the others were shocked.
Similar to how metals had different durabilities, spaces could have different degrees of resilience too. The stronger a realm, the more stable its space was. This realm’s space, be it a formation or a natural one, was not one that ordinary people could faze.
But the flood dragon easily shattered the realm’s space with a roar. On top of that, the space showed no signs of mending, possibly because it couldn’t be mended. That was how terrifyingly powerful it was.
Yet, the palace was still unfazed against such a powerful roar.
If not for the barrier the red-haired woman had constructed around them, the earlier roar would have reduced Chu Feng and the others to ashes before they could register what was happening.
Chu Feng and the others looked at the flood dragon with grim eyes.
“Can big sister win?”
Little Fishy grabbed Chu Feng’s sleeves with uncertain eyes.
The flood dragon exploded its scales, shattering the red shackles binding it. Its body grew larger, and its aura intensified to a completely different level. It felt like it could devour even an entire starfield if it wanted to.
It was incomparably powerful, to the point where it plunged Chu Feng and the others into despair.
They would be doomed if the red-haired woman couldn’t defeat this monster.
Shoosh shoosh shoosh!
With a shake of its body, the flood dragon unleashed countless scales that encircled the red-haired woman. The humongous scales stacked up like a mini realm in the sky. Each scale wielded the power to destroy a realm; the destructive potential of so many stacked scales was unimaginable.
“It’s not without a reason that I survived the heyday of the True Dragon Clan,” the flood dragon sneered with anger seething in its voice. It harbored great enmity for the True Dragon Clan.
But soon, it suddenly widened its eyes in fear.
A brilliant red light swiftly shone through the cracks of the stacked scales like a leaking dam and enveloped the stacked scales.
Despite the barrier, Chu Feng and the others could feel the intense heat.
Flames were spreading swiftly, devouring the scales at an unimaginable speed. In the blink of an eye, they had grown to a scale even greater than the flood dragon itself.
The flood dragon turned tail to run, but the flames were proliferating faster than it could escape. Eventually, the humongous flood dragon looked no more than an insignificant mudskipper in the face of the flames.
Even the nearby realms looked no more than the flames’ sparks.
“I know what you’re capable of, but I don’t think you know what I can do.”
A humongous fire dragon emerged from the raging flames. It was so huge that even Chu Feng couldn’t see its full form. It towered in the darkness like a winding celestial river of fire, looking down on everything.
The flood dragon looked no more than a speck of dust in its presence.
