Chapter 450: Chapter 415 Dragon King

The day after the competition ended, Wu Li appeared on time on the first floor of the Martial Arts Hall to begin his morning practice.

Although he had drunk quite a bit of alcohol with everyone last night, Wu Li still got up on time the next morning to continue his uninterrupted morning routine.

Before long, Li San also entered the Martial Arts Hall.

The two exchanged greetings and each did their own morning practice, only taking a break to chat after an hour.

"When are you going back to the country?" Li San asked.

Wu Li thought for a moment, "In a few days. The competition is over, and Bo Yuan Martial Arts Hall’s reputation has finally been established abroad. We need to consider expanding and opening branches in various locations. Once I have dealt with these matters, I’ll return to Hua Country."

Li San nodded, "I have to go see the Elder first today, and then make a trip to Los Angeles."

Wu Li asked, "Something up?"

Normally, Li San, as a Double Flower Red Stick, was quite idle and barely interfered with affairs, only taking action when necessary. This is why he managed to find the time to compete in the tournament for over a month. However, once it was necessary for him to take action, it definitely meant something big!

Li San made no effort to hide it and simply said, "Recently, the Longhua Association has stirred up quite some trouble in Los Angeles. We, Hongmen, have a branch there, which has a good relationship with Zhiyuan Hall, so the Elder has asked me to go over and lend a hand."

"Longhua Association?" Wu Li repeated, feeling that the name sounded familiar.

Li San smiled and said, "That’s the Longhua Association Feng Lin belongs to."

"Oh, I remember now," Wu Li nodded.

Li San had told Wu Li when they were investigating Feng Lin that he was an Elder of the Longhua Association.

"Does this matter have something to do with Feng Lin?" Wu Li inquired.

Li San shook his head, "I’m not sure about the specifics. I’ll know after I speak with the Elder."

Wu Li said, "All right, just let me know if you need help."

Li San didn’t stand on ceremony with Wu Li.

Afterwards, Li San bid farewell to Wu Li and left the Martial Arts Hall.

Not long after Li San’s departure, Li Tongyun also sought out Wu Li to say goodbye.

"The competition is over, and I’m preparing to leave."

Wu Li was not surprised by Li Tongyun’s departure, "Okay, if there’s another similar competition, the position of head coach is still yours."

Li Tongyun smiled and nodded, "I’ll be waiting for it."

Then he turned around and left with a carefree stride.

By the morning, Wu Li had bid farewell to two friends, and then came the partings with the rest of the Hua Country Team, with most of them returning to their country.

Busy until the afternoon, Wu Li finally had time to start dealing with company matters.

In fact, as soon as the Hua Country Team advanced from the group stage, registration numbers at Bo Yuan Martial Arts Hall began to rise, and now, with the team having won the championship, the number of registrants had increased even more.

Obviously, having just one Martial Arts Hall in New York was far from enough. After discussing it with Liu Yuanbo, Wu Li planned to open two more in New York and one in Washington.

Money and properties were not an issue. Wu Li had won ownership of more than three hundred properties across the United States after a previous martial arts challenge, so he wasn’t worried about finding locations. However, Bo Yuan Martial Arts Hall was short-staffed and particularly in need of coaches.

While Wu Li was competing, Liu Yuanbo was busy recruiting Chinese-born combat sports coaches from the local American population, training them, and now that over a month of intensive training had finished, they could just about manage to serve as coaches in other branches. Yet, they needed to keep learning online and periodically undergo assessments.

Liu Yuanbo had arranged all of these tasks methodically. The only thing he needed Wu Li for was to return to his old job—as a coach.

"With the current shortage of staff, Master, you’ll have to return to coaching. With your popularity, all I have to do is advertise that you’ll be personally training, and scores of people will surely come to sign up."

These were Liu Yuanbo’s words to Wu Li, and so Wu Li had no choice but to stay in the United States for now as a coach, waiting to train the flood of newly recruited instructors.

...

November 16th, Manhattan District, New York.

In a newly decorated Martial Arts Hall, Wu Li was teaching over fifty new instructors the Standing Three-body Position.

Most of these new instructors were Chinese who had settled in the United States, with a few being Americans. They were all experienced combat coaches attracted by the high salaries Bo Yuan Martial Arts Hall offered and Wu Li’s fame.

"Alright, that’s it for today’s training. Go home and solidify what you’ve learned today, and I’ll see you all tomorrow."

At 9 p.m., Wu Li declared the end of the lesson.

"Goodbye, Sir Wu."

"See you tomorrow, Sir Wu."

The students said their farewells to Wu Li. The assistants here were old students Wu Li had previously taught, so all the current students also referred to Wu Li as Sir Wu.

After the last student left, Wu Li slowly walked out of the Martial Arts Hall.

It was raining outside, and Wu Li opened his umbrella, stepping onto the street.

For convenience and not lacking in funds, Wu Li had someone quickly buy a flat for him in the Manhattan District of New York, so he didn’t need to stay in a hotel for a long period.

His residence was not far from the Martial Arts Hall, just a ten-minute walk, so Wu Li walked there every day.

Because of the rain, there were few pedestrians on the streets, with only vehicles flashing their lights as they came and went.

Wu Li hadn’t walked far when he looked up casually and suddenly froze.

About a hundred meters ahead at the crossroads stood a person wearing a long coat, not holding an umbrella, just standing in the rain.

Although Wu Li couldn’t see the person’s face clearly, the aura and the subtle authority they exuded caught his attention.

Looking closely, Wu Li felt as though the person stood there as if they had merged with the wind and rain around them.

Sensing Wu Li’s gaze, the person suddenly turned around and looked at Wu Li.

Wu Li could acutely feel a bright gaze piercing the hundred-meter distance, through the wind and rain, falling upon him.

Then the person began walking towards Wu Li.

Wu Li slightly furrowed his brow. No inquiries were needed, no doubt was harbored; Wu Li’s intuition told him that this person was heading straight for him.

The two approached each other, coming within thirty meters.

Drip, drip, drip... The sound of raindrops hitting the ground.

With Wu Li’s hearing and sharp sixth sense, he should have been able to distinguish the sound of the rain from footsteps around him at such a distance. However, as the person in front approached closer, Wu Li could no longer discern their steps from the rain – if he closed his eyes, he would think there was nobody in front of him at all.

"Spirit Realm, Borrowing Momentum!"

Even without System Detection, Wu Li could tell that the person before him was at the Spirit Realm, just like himself, currently Borrowing Momentum from the world, merging with the surrounding wind and rain!

The person stopped when there were ten meters between them, and a voice came over, speaking in Chinese: "Wu Li."

Wu Li too halted, his expression calm, "And you are?"

"You may call me Dragon King."

Before Wu Li could speak, the other person’s face broke into a smile:

"I’ve come to kill you."
