Marry The Devil -
Chapter 36
Chapter 36: Chapter 36
A smile flashed across Queen Venessa’s face as she looked at her sons. For her, everything went as planned.
Only a few days ago did she receive a message from the wizard, regarding an alliance.
In the letter, he told her he knew the king was going to ask for Mala’s hand in marriage, and he told Queen Venessa to make sure that things didn’t go as planned. He wanted everything to get ruined.
He wanted Mala and Francis to get separated at all costs.
Desperate to rise to power, Queen Venessa agreed.
Only if Francis and Mala knew what their separation had caused.
"What exactly is your plan?" Queen Venessa asked. "How do you plan to kill His highness?"
Lord Chris smirked. "Sir. Oliver and I have agreed that he would hand the book over to me before the crescent night starts. So while he’s busy trying to cast his spells and kill Mala alongside Francis, I will secure as much power as I can, save Mala and end Francis on the spot," Francis revealed.
The door was pushed open, revealing Sir. Oliver as he walked into the room. He took a while to scan the room, before he proceeded to smile.
"Queen Venessa of silver village, it is indeed an honour to finally meet you," Sir. Oliver said.
Queen Venessa smiled. "It’s an honor to meet you too."
"The wizard here has told me alot about you. I am really really grateful that we still have people like you around, Queen Venessa. The wizard told me about your strong desire to make sure that the villages are in good condition and that is why you have agreed to bring Mala to us. Thank you so much Queen," Sir. Oliver said, offering a slight bow.
Queen Venessa placed her hand on her chest. "I did it for the sake of the people, and because I am aware of what Mala is capable of. I lived with her since she was a child...she’s nothing but a witch. I tried everything that I could do change her, but she didn’t listen to me. I know what would be at risk if she suceeds in killing the king, and that is why I agreed to be of help," Queen Venessa said and Lord Chris smiled.
"She indeed loves the villages so much," Lord Chris added.
Sarcasm.
"I am glad to hear this. The reason we requested that Mala is secretly brought here is because of a ritual that needs to be performed. After everything that we have done, his highness made everything go in vein because of his feelings for that thing. Since we have no other choice, we have decided to go through our last resort," Sir Oliver said.
"What’s that?" Queen Venessa asked.
"We all know that the cresent night is the night where the devil in his highness comes out completely. That night is the only time that Mala can be killed. But since the night is too far and we’re running out of time, we have decided to bring the night closer to us with a ritual," Sir. Oliver said. "I’ll draw out of bit of Mala’s blood and shift the cresent night towards us as soon as I can."
"With the time spell?" Queen Venessa asked and Sir. Oliver nodded.
"You do not have to worry about anything. I will get everything done. All you need to do is give me a hand when I need it and that’s all," Sir. Oliver said and Queen Venessa nodded. .
"Let us get started," sir Oliver said.
Soon enough, the air was filled with chants and noises, accompanied with Sir. Oliver’s loud voice as he pleaded with the moon spirits.
Soon enough, everything ended. The thick and dark clouds vanished, the thunder stopped and Sir. Oliver lowered his hands. He turned to the other, who stood on the other side of the barrier that he made.
"It is done. The Crescent night would come in the next two days, and now the king wouldn’t have a choice but to kill Mala then," Sir. Oliver said and Queen Venessa smiled like it was exactly what she wanted.
Sir. Oliver felt proud of what he had done, thinking everything he did would be in favour of the village and Francis. But little did he know that behind the smile on their faces, are secrets untold.

The gentle morning sun, shinned on Sir. Oliver’s forehead as he made his way to the King’s room. He walked towards the door with his heart racing, not knowing what to expect.
Sir. Oliver didn’t know how the king was going to react if he told him that he had shifted the date of the Crescent night.
Sir. Oliver landed two knocks on the door.
"Come in," Francis answered.
Sir. Oliver walked in with his head lowered. He slowly raised his head, only to see that the king’s claws had left countless marks on the wooden walls and table. He tore the sheets and the curtains weren’t in good condition.
"Your highness..." sir. Oliver called, seeing how wild Francis had become. He was beginning to question if it was truly a good idea to kill Mala.
"Your highness...I ... I came to tell you something important."
"What is it?" Francis growled.
"Your highness.. ..I see that you’re not in a good condition currently. Do you want me to burn incense to make you feel better?" Sir. Oliver asked.
"Your incense never works," Francis growled and his red eyes was fixed on sir. Oliver.
"I...I came to tell you about something that I had done."
"What did you do, Oliver?"
"The Crescent night would occur in two days. I made a ritual..... you’ll have to kill Mala in two days," Sir. Olive revealed and he immediately shut his eyes, expecting Francis to strangle him as usual, but he didn’t. The king’s voice was cold.
"Do whatever you want. Get me princess Arabella. Tell her that I need her to make me feel better."
"Your highness, did you just say .... Princess Arabella?" Sir. Oliver asked with his eyes widened. "Mala is currently here. We can have her brought to you till the time you will kill her."
"There’s no point. I do not want to see her. Bring me Arabella." Francis ordered.
