Magic Sect of Beauties: The Strongest Mage is in a Cultivation World -
Chapter 48 - 48: Peak Chiefs Tea Time, Sun Yuying's Blunt Rejection, and the Fated Meeting of Two Disciples.
Nestled in a quiet corner of the Dragon's Peak Mountains, a gazebo provided shelter for three Peak Chiefs indulging in a tea session.
Xiu Yulan, Chief of the Inkflow Spire, chuckled with pride as she savored a sip of herbal tea. "It seems this time around, I've discovered the brightest talent among the five Peaks," she spoke confidently.
Grandmaster Lin Feng, Chief of the Thundercloud Summit, responded with a slurping sound as he took a strong sip of tea. "Unfortunately, I'll have to agree this time, even if this disciple you speak so highly of isn't that special," he admitted with a sigh, though the bitterness was evident in his tone.
Xiu Yulan, donning an insincerely modest demeanor, couldn't resist needling him. "No need to be so sour about it, Chief Lin. Your entire generation has spawned the most talented disciples who will be the sect's pillars in the future," she said, almost shaming Lin Feng.
His reaction was palpable as he tightly held the cracked handle of his teacup.
Xiu Yulan, a beauty in the sect, sported thickly braided inky black hair, pitch-black eyes, and flawless, pearl-white skin. Her light blue and white daoist robe accentuated her voluptuous physique, and the abundance of jewelry attested to her luxurious taste. Notably, she proudly showcased her meaty cleavage, treating it as her pride and joy.
Taking another sip of her tea, Xiu Yulan placed a hand on her chest, pledging with a melodic voice, "Sun Yuying, my newly recruited disciple, will pave the path for her generation. She's the strongest of her peers, perhaps even more talented than Mu Lingxi." Her gaze slyly glided to Mu Zhihao.
Mu Zhihao, standing calmly at the end of the gazebo, surveyed the landscape. With chin-length black hair and brown eyes, he cut a stoic figure as the Mu clan's Patriarch.
Without sparing Xiu Yulan a glance, he curtly replied, "No."
Xiu Yulan, slightly surprised by his concise response, retorted, "That's a rather vague answer. I'll assume you're saying Sun Yuying isn't as talented as Mu Lingxi. However..." She paused, sipping her tea, then continued, "it's debatable."
Mu Zhihao turned to Xiu Yulan, stating firmly, "There's nothing debatable about those two. Mu Lingxi is a prodigy, far above this... Sun Yuying."
Lin Feng nodded in agreement, adding, "Indeed, that..." Before he could finish, Xiu Yulan glared at him, prompting a hasty silence.
Mu Zhihao clarified, "However, that's not why I said no. There's a new disciple of mine who I'm sure will be the singular pillar of this entire sect."
Xiu Yulan scoffed, dismissing his claim. "You don't need to lie in order to save your pride. It's somewhat sad," she retorted, raising her teacup to her lips.
Running his fingers through his beard, Mu Zhihao shot back, "It's even sadder that you'd think I'm joking."
Xiu Yulan froze mid-sip, and an awkward silence enveloped the gazebo.
Meanwhile...
At the Dragon Vein Spirit Pool, Sun Yuying stared in shock at the broken glowing blue blade. "It's impossible," she muttered, "once a dragon sword has been destroyed, it loses its composition, and all the dragon vein Qi lose their cohesive nature. Even mid-stage Spirit Gathering cultivators couldn't hope to refine something like this."
A junior disciple in the crowd suggested, "Maybe it's a senior cultivator who made it?"
Another examined the blade, running his fingers across it, and remarked, "No, I'm sensing traces of a cultivator at the third level of Mortal Realm."
Sun Yuying's eyes widened, her mouth agape in surprise, as murmurs rippled through the crowd—they were either surprised, scared, or skeptical.
"Isn't Sun Yuying at the seventh level of Mortal Realm?"
"Someone is actually better than Sun Yuying?!"
"Better? More like far ahead!"
"No, I refuse to believe this until I touch that sword myself."
"Yes! I mean, after all this is a Star Disciple we're talking about. She can't be easily surpassed by a nobody… right?"
The junior disciple holding the broken blade continued, "The sword feels so heavy but so light at the same time, like it's a million blades in one and at the same time one blade in a million."
The crowd was utterly flabbergasted.
Suddenly, a bald and muscular senior cultivator slapped the junior disciple who praised the sword.
SMACK!!
He grabbed him by the collar of his robes, then shouted at the top of his voice, "Would you dare say that such an inferior blade matches that of my beautiful, goddess-like Junior Sister, Sun Yuying?!" Saliva flew on the junior disciple's face as he yelled.
This shouting senior is Yuan Po.
He wore the Inkflow Spire uniform—light purple and white.
The scared junior disciple stammered, "I... I'm sorry...!" Fear oozed from his apology, a clear response to the intimidating aura exuded by the muscular Yuan Po.
Without hesitation, Yuan Po slapped the junior again.
WHACK!!
Then, he forcibly turned him to face Sun Yuying. "Now, apologize to her for downgrading her heavenly existence," Yuan Po demanded.
However, as they turned towards Sun Yuying, she wore an irritated expression and dismissed Yuan Po, saying, "Get lost. I don't have time for such nonsense." With that, she marched back into the Dragon Vein Spirit Pool, leaving everyone with the clear impression that she intended to challenge the quality of the unknown but superior dragon sword.
Yuan Po stood there in shock, insulted and ignored by Sun Yuying.
Some disciples in the crowd couldn't help but cover their mouths, stifling laughter.
Yet, as soon as Yuan Po glared at them with angry eyes and throbbing veins on his shiny bald head, they promptly shut their mouths, suppressing any further amusement.
Yuan Po tossed the junior disciple aside, revealing an ointment hidden in his robes. He poured it onto his hand and rubbed his bald head, making it shine even more than before. The disciples squinted, momentarily blinded by the radiant gleam emanating from his head.
"Argh! So bright!"
"This must be Heaven's light!"
Proudly clearing his throat, Yuan Po confidently followed Sun Yuying into the megastructure.
Catching up with her, he desperately walked behind Sun Yuying and said, "J... Junior Sister, come on. I hope you're not mad at me. It must be because you couldn't handle my charm that you got all flustered back there and insulted me."
Sun Yuying halted, and so did Yuan Po, who was walking directly behind her. Without looking back, she bluntly stated, "The reason I insulted you is because you're insignificant to my cause."
Persisting, Yuan Po chuckled and began, "You must be joking, ri…"
Before he could finish, Sun Yuying turned back with cold yet hateful eyes and informed him, "I don't like you, and I never will. Make yourself scarce." With that, she walked away, leaving Yuan Po on his knees, heartbroken.
...
Sun Yuying continued her stroll for another two minutes, searching for her cave abode.
Suddenly, a big red lizard leaped out of hiding and dashed away.
Startled, she missed a step and fell.
Out of nowhere, someone romantically caught Su Yuying, holding her up with one hand while the tips of her long light gray hair brushed against the rocky ground.
"Are you okay?" Yang Wei asked her.
