Chapter 311: Episode 15 Holy Temple_2

The elves on the platform greeted Lynch. Some had met the Mage long ago, while others had only heard his name. But regardless, it did not hinder them from sending their kind blessings. For generations, elves have dealt with nature and forests, often using words derived from these elements to express their emotions. "May your Tree of Life be ever-green"; "May your path be filled with green and gold"; "May your journey through life be accompanied by verdancy and breezes," are their common phrases. Some elves, more familiar with him, would say, "My heart began to sing upon seeing you."

Zilvra and Soka couldn’t understand Elf Language, but they could sense the unique rhythm of the language and guessed most of its meaning. When elves speak, their voices become very melodic, with smooth transitions between syllables. Many believe that elves spend their entire lives singing, inseparable from the characteristics of their language.

Due to the surrounding beautiful scenery, the ascent did not feel tiring. Even when Zilvra and Soka were still immersed in admiration, the palace had already appeared before them.

If human palaces are always built richly and dwarves’ halls are always magnificent, then the Holy Temple built by elves fully embodies the meaning of elegance. The grand wooden door appeared very narrow and long, like an upright blade, standing at the palace’s forefront. Most of the doorway had been carved out, leaving just enough to outline a robust growing tree. The elves embedded emeralds and agates into the carved places as green leaves and embellished rubies and citrines to represent flowers, even using Obsidian to engrave the tree’s patterns. The entire door can be described as a masterpiece.

But compared to the whole palace, it was nothing. Due to the excessive use of gemstones as decoration, the door seemed slightly too luxurious and detached from nature. However, the rest of the construction blended seamlessly with the Holy Tree, Heather. The massive branches served as supporting pillars, with pruned vines clinging to them; the tree’s leaves formed the roof, allowing the sun’s golden rays to shine through the gaps, illuminating the entire hall. A clear spring gushed continuously from the center of the Holy Tree, offering refreshing Holy Water even at the top of Heather’s mountains. Some protruding tree knots were polished into seats, scattered around the podium in the center of the palace. It’s unknown whether this beautiful scenery existed first, prompting the talented elf craftsmen to build this palace or whether Heather, with its wisdom, offered its gifts to this proud elf structure.

Zilvra felt extremely excited, having never seen such beauty. The naturally formed architectural style opened her eyes. However, being a Dark Elf accustomed to hiding her thoughts, her face only exhibited calm composure.

Little Soka’s wide eyes darted around like a vigilant jumping mouse in a field. She felt her eyes were simply inadequate to fully capture the beauty all at once. And if it weren’t for Lynch’s hand holding her shoulder, the little angel would have already flown up, wanting to touch the sights with her own hands.

Lynch had come here long ago, so the palace’s beauty did not overwhelm him. His gaze was fixed on the few individuals standing behind the podium, especially the two Elf Kings standing in the middle.

One of them was the Elf Queen. She was still dressed the same as yesterday. Lynch had never seen Queen Hernfurry in any other form; she seemed to have escaped the shackles of time, remaining unchanged by the ravages of years, becoming eternal. Whether a thousand years prior or a thousand years hence, the Elf Queen would always appear this way. The only change was her ever-growing wisdom.

Beside her stood the actual steward of Heather, the Great Druid Nosta—the "Spirit of Birth." This male elf had lived in Heather from a very long time ago, knowing every grass and wood with intimate familiarity. Over millennia, he had meticulously tended to the environment, caring for all compatriots who loved this place, and expelled countless enemies. The Elf Queen thus named him "Servant of Heather," allowing him to use his eternal life to care for this Holy Land.
