Chapter 278: Episode 5 Home Banquet_4

However, Lynch managed to muddle through, and everyone could start choosing their food and begin dining. During the meal, Lynch’s mother looked at the few girls sitting at the table, knowing they all came with Lynch, and paid special attention. From her point of view, the two human girls were most pleasing to her, as they were pretty and seemed very quiet. Only one of the girls was always serving food to the big guy, while the other seemed a bit anxious, not daring to take her eyes off the bowl in front of her.

The little girl with wings was quite lively, but she looked too young. Moreover, her feathers clearly showed she wasn’t human and instead resembled some angels depicted in paintings. Lynch’s mother shook her head, ruling out another option.

The remaining girl wasn’t bad looking, but her skin color was strange. Pure white skin with silver hair looked very out of place. It was said there was a condition that looked like this. Her sharp purple eyes and well-toned muscles on her arms made her look like a wandering adventurer who was unlikely to settle down.

"Little girl, what’s your name and how old are you?" After thinking for a while, Lynch’s mother decided to ask. Because, among those present, only this girl in white seemed promising.

Zilvra furrowed her brow and glanced at Lynch. She was puzzled about why the mage’s mother would ask her this question. However, she still answered truthfully: "My name is Zilvra, and I am already 117 years old."

Little Soka raised his hand and loudly said, "I... I am Soka! Already 61 years old!"

"Hehe, so that’s how it is..." Mrs. Ailinsha forced a couple of dry laughs to cover her embarrassment. It seemed Lynch’s friends were all quite strange; each of them was extraordinarily old, and these two girls, who looked so young, were much older than she was.

Lynch’s eyes scanned everyone’s faces, and finally, he sighed: "Just noticed, turns out I’m the youngest here."

Sitting next to him, Morgan laughed heartily and patted his back hard. The atmosphere at the dinner table relaxed, and the shadows of identity or impending war were all dispelled.

The good mood was perfect for dining, and everyone shared stories of what they had gone through after parting, bringing out the most interesting and joyful bits. Lynch carefully ate what was in front of him, not daring to waste a bit. Zilvra was always watching the mage, noticing that today he ate several times more than usual, and then looked at the food on the table, lost in thought.

After dinner, the female drow dragged the stomach-bloated Soka away mysteriously. Lynch, feeling curious, informed his mother and followed them out.

The whole town was quiet, with all the house windows tightly shut, the watchdogs that would normally be on the streets were locked inside by the residents, and not a living soul was on the streets. If not for the light glowing from the windows, Lynch would have thought he had come to a Dead City.

A startled cry came from the sky, causing the mage to look up. A man was rapidly falling from a high place, flailing wildly in mid-air, and his hoarse throat was crying for help, though most of his sounds were driven back into his lungs by the whistling wind.

Lynch grabbed his magic wand, ready to cast the Feather Fall Technique to save him. But a shadow swiftly passed by the man’s side, and little angel Soka rushed in from the side, grabbing his foot and lifting the man into the air.

Lynch hurried after them, only to find Zilvra standing with her hands on her hips, watching a group of tied-up townspeople in the open area of the town. Whenever someone cried for mercy, the female drow would slap them without showing any pity.

Little Soka flew over to Zilvra with the man and set him down. Zilvra pointed at another person next to the little angel and said, "Go see if he is a good person."

"Oh..." Soka agreed, then took the rope tied to another person and flew into the sky. A while later, there was another scream in the sky, and the person who had just been sent high up fell down again.

Soka caught him just before he hit the ground and flew back to Zilvra.

Lynch watched this unfold, completely bewildered. He stepped forward, looking at Zilvra and Soka: "What are you two up to?"
