Chapter 179: Episode 64 Attack (Part 2)_3
"Really?"
...
Lynch rubbed his head, quietly sitting inside the Drow Temple. Although his final victory was quite "spectacular," it was not an overwhelming victory. Initially, Lynch was indeed influenced by the opponent’s spell, believing that a creature with immense mental attack power was assaulting him. However, he later realized that the magic origin energy within him was in conflict with the spiritual power injected by the creature, and the type of conflict was precisely the same as the phenomenon produced by the mutual agitation of two magical energy systems. This caused him to question the authenticity of the creature in front of him. From the initial shock, and the fear in his heart upon seeing such a powerful creature, to the anxiety produced by being continuously pressured by its attack, Mage Lynch seized this flaw, freed himself from the influence of the opponent’s enchantment spell, used the Illusion Technique to escape, and finally achieved victory.
However, Lynch did not escape unscathed. His head was still throbbing with pain, and with every heartbeat, he felt as if his skull expanded in turn, his entire brain like a balloon being squeezed, ready to explode at any moment. Moreover, having just used the Magic Origin Power to counterattack, he depleted a great deal of energy, making it increasingly difficult for him to concentrate.
The Spider Goddess’s temple always appeared pitch black, the only source of light being Lynch’s Floating Disc, with the stone leg still lying quietly upon it, motionless. The title of First Family Mage Advisor did have some utility, as several Female Dark Elf Priestesses paid respect to the Family Emblem worn on Lynch’s waist, and then hurried off to search for a potion that could heal the stone leg. The poor Old Dwarf was finally freed from his status as a gladiator slave, and now, though in a coma, was acting as Lynch’s slave attendant.
Before long, two Dark Elves approached, a man and a woman. Lynch was surprised to discover that one of them was Zilvra. Having taken off her warrior attire and laid down her sword, Zilvra, dressed in her Priest Robe, appeared even more graceful. Compared to armor, the Dark Elf Sacrificial Robe was much more revealing—with the robe covering her feet, but a slit on the side extending up to her thigh, revealing the sculpted curve of her legs; her arms bare, with mithril bracelets on her wrists engraved with the Spider Goddess’s insignia; and the neckline cut low, without the constraints of the breastplate she wore previously, Zilvra’s ample chest seemed ready to spring forth, stretching the originally loose robe tightly.
However, the Dark Elf beside her seemed somewhat old, particularly as his appearance and physique clearly did not belong to the same age group. With the aid of the Eye of Insight, Lynch estimated the heart and lung function of the Dark Elf, who still should have been in his prime as a Drow, yet his face had already aged like that of an elder.
Surprisingly, this male Drow also wore the Spider Goddess’s Sacrificial Robe but had a warrior badge on his left chest. From the Family Emblem, he appeared to be a member of the second family. He walked casually beside Zilvra, displaying none of the respect and reverence due towards Dark Elf females, instead behaving as if he were a Surface World man.
The most intolerable thing was, when he called Zilvra’s name, he put his hand on the female Drow’s shoulder.
Lynch couldn’t help but admire this guy’s audacity; only two types of people could act like this in the Dark Elf City: madmen or madmen. The only difference between them is that the former type of madman is already dead, while the latter won’t live much longer.
"Hello, Lynch, we meet again," Zilvra spoke sternly, as if they had only met once before and didn’t share any special connection.
"Oh! So you’re the Mage from the Surface World! Nice to meet you, my name is Somizar, I’m the second son of the second family. I’ll have to ask you to take care of me in the future!" The Dark Elf extended his hand, wanting to shake hands with Lynch.
Lynch looked at the Dark Elf in front of him, filled with doubt, thinking that even in the Surface World no one spoke like this, let alone a Drow. This abrupt style of speech and behavior had never appeared in any customs, seeming to originate from another world.
Somizar naturally stepped forward to shake hands with Lynch, blocking Zilvra behind him. The Female Dark Elf used this opportunity to wink fiercely at Lynch, aligning her four fingers of her right hand, extending her index finger horizontally, and moving it back and forth under her white, tender neck.
"Help me deal with him, please..." Zilvra’s eyes pleaded.
