"Good that you’re back. Are you hungry? Grandma Wei had them prepare some food for you."

Su Qing stared at the little fox. Seeing her just looking at it, Xiao Bai let out a whining moan.

Su Qing’s heart contracted, feeling as if the fox on the ground was acting coquettish toward her. Was it complaining about something?

"Little fox, what’s wrong with you? Are you this family’s pet?"

With the snapped-off branches in hand, Su Qing leapt nimbly down from the tree. She had just landed firmly when she felt something forcefully tackle her to the ground; the branches dropped, and before she could react, the snow-white fox had toppled her and was licking her face with its tongue.
