Gu Qing watched Bai Jinyan’s excitement, her usually gentle and sweet smile fading, her hand tightening on the wheelchair’s armrest.

Since Yu Qianqian’s disappearance, she had noticed a change in Jinyan; he had become agitated, unlike his usual composed self. Driven by a woman’s sixth sense, she sensed his feelings for Yu Qianqian were not merely brotherly but that of a man for a woman.

Thinking of this made Gu Qing feel a tinge of sorrow, knowing that Bai Jinyan was so good to her solely because she had told him that she had saved him when he fell into the water.
